And the inside party is quite stunning. We have Himmler, Nero, Ghengis Khan, new arrival Saddam and sitting to the right of Darth Cheney is none other than Old Scratch himself.
“The Vice Presidency is a unique office that is neither a part of the executive branch, nor a part of the legislative branch, but is attached by the Constitution to the latter.”
“The Office of the Vice President consists of the aggregation of Vice Presidential employees… employees assigned or detailed to the Vice President and consultants engaged by the Vice President.”
“The authority to appoint, administratively determine the pay of, and discharge Vice Presidential employees rests with the Vice President.”
The Vice President does not believe he is part of the Executive Branch or the Legislative Branch. Instead he is a sepearate office. I sense a problem here.
The point of all this is that Cheney does not want to disclose who works for him. He works for us and the salaries he pays are paid for by us. He believes he is above such pedestrian affairs — and in addition, this secrecy makes it harder for anyone to investiage anything. That’s what Darth Cheney, a.k.a. Dick the Prick, likes. Darkness, secrecy, hidden agendas, and when exposed – he lies.
BTW, the salaries as listed in the secondary link are for 6 months.
So essentially you can double the salaries listed. It’s not the amount that is so bad (although I wonder why he needs so many people on staff at the White House – in addition to the staff he has at the Senate) it is the typical stonewalling we get from him.
I believe El Jefe Bushco and Darth Cheney have forgotten that the are the “servants of the people” and we pay their paychecks! Time for a serious wedgie I’d say.
And this story perfectly illustrates why I have repeatedly said (and adopted as my screen name) Impeach Cheney FIRST, then Bush. Cheney is the real power, and Bush the politician/figurehead.
Actually, his pay roll seems to come from the annals of Scrooge McDuck. The average AA earns more then anyone one the Dick’s payroll in a ten billion firm. Dick is heading a 300 billion economic disaster and paying his staff peanuts.
And the inside party is quite stunning. We have Himmler, Nero, Ghengis Khan, new arrival Saddam and sitting to the right of Darth Cheney is none other than Old Scratch himself.
January 29th, 2007 at 6:02 pmLemme guess:
Satin, Hitler’s ghost, Hannibal Lechter, Osama bin Laden, and George Bush.
Those are the most vile characters I can think of at the moment…

Great minds also gonna be your reasoning here? ; )
January 29th, 2007 at 6:05 pmCheney probably sleeps in a coffin in his bunker since he is really Count Dracula > lol.
January 29th, 2007 at 6:07 pmI wonder how many staff members Al Gore had?
January 29th, 2007 at 6:08 pmI’ll try to find out.
41 staffers. So much for less govt. I’ll be interested in Gore’s staff as well as previous admins.
January 29th, 2007 at 6:11 pmOf course he has a plethora of Staff Assistants which seems excessive even for a guy his age.
January 29th, 2007 at 6:12 pmThis should tell you all you need to know about the Vice President:
This section http://www.gpoaccess.gov/plumbook/2004/p226_appendix5.pdf makes some interesting assertions, including:
“The Vice Presidency is a unique office that is neither a part of the executive branch, nor a part of the legislative branch, but is attached by the Constitution to the latter.”
“The Office of the Vice President consists of the aggregation of Vice Presidential employees… employees assigned or detailed to the Vice President and consultants engaged by the Vice President.”

January 29th, 2007 at 6:18 pmSorry, I can’t find shit — or Al Gore’s staff members.
January 29th, 2007 at 6:18 pmOk, I got a hint from Pity the Fool’s comment, here’s Al Gore’s WH staff for 1996 — a total of 13:

Don’t forget Vlad, The Impaler and Ivan, The Terrible! This should round out the “Cheney’s Seven Dwarfs” quite handily.

January 29th, 2007 at 6:49 pmShouldn’t that be IN Cheneys inner circle? =)
Staff members.
Snort!
January 29th, 2007 at 6:52 pmInside the bunker.
Did they find cyanide capsules there too? What about personal momentos from the Bush administration?
Anything of collector value yet?

January 29th, 2007 at 9:25 pmCheney’s inner circle is him looking in the mirror. He doesn’t listen to anybody but himself.
