Swift Boat Leader Hired To Run Right-Wing ‘Online Community’»

jcorsi.jpg Yesterday, Washington Post columnist Robert Novak reported that TheVanguard.org, a new right-wing advocacy group, has hired Jerome Corsi as a senior political strategist.

Vanguard describes itself as an “online community of Americans who believe in conservative values,” and Novak claims it is a “right-wing version of the leftist MoveOn.Org.”

By hiring Corsi, Vanguard has made it clear that it intends to hit below the belt and be more than just an “online community.” Corsi coordinated the Swiftboat Veterans for Truth attacks against Sen. John Kerry (D-MA), and plans to use Vanguard to “similarly undermine Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton” for her progressive policy stances. Media Matters has documented Corsi’s posts on the right-wing Free Republic site. Some excerpts:

On Islam: “a worthless, dangerous Satanic religion”

On Catholicism: “Boy buggering in both Islam and Catholicism is okay with the Pope as long as it isn’t reported by the liberal press”

On Muslims: “RAGHEADS are Boy-Bumpers as clearly as they are Women-Haters — it all goes together”

On “John F*ing Commie Kerry”: “After he married TerRAHsa, didn’t John Kerry begin practicing Judiasm? He also has paternal grandparents that were Jewish. What religion is John Kerry?”

On Senator “FAT HOG” Clinton: “Anybody ask why HELLary couldn’t keep BJ Bill satisfied? Not lesbo or anything, is she?”

Corsi was also accused of (and later admitted to) plagiarizing the work of conservative commentator Debbie Schlussel.

Digg It!

    Corsi is literally crazy, and anyone who considers him “conservative” are crazy too. There’s nothing either liberal or conservative about such a questionably human being.

    Corsi is one demented, bigoted egomaniac…he fits in well with the reichwing philosophy but I believe he’s in for one little surprise….the left is planning to swiftboat Corsi - and soon! RHLC! Why on earth are these people so insanely obsessed with male-on-male sex?

    And, what’s with the eighth-grade tactic of making fun of people’s name? “Hell-ary?” Goodness. Limbaugh does that, too. What, did their emotional growth cease at age thirteen?

  17. RUCerious Says:

    Corsi might enjoy a little keelhauling, as opposed to swift boating.

    As hard to believe as it might be, he could be worse than Michael Savage in sheer stupidity, ignorance, racism, and prejudice.

  31. ForTruth Says:

    The conservatives do spend lots of time thinking of man-boy love. Do they imagine the actual mechanics involved? I mean, what do they think of when they are concentrating so hard on “not” doing it.

    That’s Novak. What do you want? Look who’s side he’s on. The fact that anyone would believe him is tragic.

    I’d say that anyone would be able to blow this outfit out of the water, but the Democrats lost to them once. I hope they learned something since the Kerry vs Bush race. Dems and Reps have trouble learning anything though. Any Republican candidate should be trying everything they can to appear NOT like Bush and the Democrat candidates should be capitalizing on the Republican mistakes. Don’t see a lot of either going on so far. If 2008 is a close race, the Dems have only themselves to blame. A baboon and a naked mole rat should be able to take the Whitehouse from the Republicans next year.

    First thing I saw after getting past the Botox gone bad face. Just what the far right needs is a lover of the Confederate values above the American Values.

    Are conservative values the same as confederate values? It’s all so clear to me now.

    Jerome Corsi will be a great flag bearer for the conservative movement and he shows on his lapel what flag that will be.

    Bravo Neocons, come right out and say it loud and proud. The only way to move America forward is to send it back 140 years.

I’m sure he’d be enthused to be made the official spokesman for every single person in the country who calls themselves “conservative”. They deserve all the subtlety of characterization that they’ve allowed everyone else.

    Conservative = Corsi
    GOP = Corsi
    (R) candidates = Corsi

  87. veritas Says:

    #53 Consider this: This “planned coup on America’s democracy” was actually hatched decades ago by such brilliant neoconartist psyches as Bush 41, Don Rumsfeld, Dick Cheney, and Paul Wolfewitz…..They just had to get all of the players (aka “puppets”) in place to accomplish this. What they didn’t take into account was the fact that WMD’s would never be found in Iraq…..and “another Pearl Harbor” was the catalyst for it all. When the public gets to the truth, they will be both appalled and amazed at the amount of orchestration and the time dedicated to this Coup on America.

    Hopefully, just before they are able to completely destroy this democracy, this newly-elected Congress will chop them off at their kneees….otherwise, I’m like you, asking: “what can be done to stop this attack on American ideals?”.

    Teaching children to be self-sufficient is the main objective of the secondary education system. They usually complain that it’s hard to think for themselves, and try to whine to get someone elseto do it for them - but insisting that they do their own classwrok and homework is essential to their development of critical thinking skills.

    AS YOU ALL WELL KNOW, IT’S NOT THE SIZE OF THE SWIFT BOAT, BUT THE MOTION OF THE OCEAN. I think it’s safe to say that, since 2004, the size of the Swift Boat is considerably smaller. I think the motion of the ocean is going to drown these boys in 2007.

    It’ so comforting to know that Clarence Thomas, at least at one point in his life, regularly rented porno tapes. This guy is one sick dude! Clarenece, you are sick, sick, sick, sick, sick. The morality of our country is going down the sewer, and pornography is certainly a contributing factor. Disgusting! Disgusting!

    If this type of depravity contintues, I can someday visualize a male hooker asking questions to the president. What would be next? I don’t even want to think about it. If that should happen, we are in big, big trouble folks.

    Michael certainly came from now high powered school. He has no debating skills. People are wise to the GOP propaganda and they are tired of the corruption Michael. The WMD lies, the yellowcake lies, the mushroom cloud lies, the stay the course mantra. Corsi can spew as much hate as he wants, people are wise to his tactics and tire of such childish bias. Comment by michael — January 29, 2007 @ 6:18 pm

    Actually, michael, I said:

    “Somebody put this guy on tv a lot, and soon - put him up with a big “=” sign, right next to a gop elephant icon and a 28% approval rating poll result. Let Corsi be the face of every troll, and dittohead, and wingnut, and gop candidate for the next ten years. I’m sure he’d be enthused to be made the official spokesman for every single person in the country who calls themselves “conservative”. They deserve all the subtlety of characterization that they’ve allowed everyone else.
    Conservative = Corsi
    GOP = Corsi
    (R) candidates = Corsi”

    There isn’t “liberal rhetoric” and “conservative rhetoric”, michael, there is rhetoric. It is used by everyone for everything. Some of it is good, and some of it is bad. MY rhetoric, re: Corsi, his group, and you, is summarized in my post - I want everyone to get a real good long look and listen to exactly what it is people like him, you, and radical right-wing types have to say, because I know that thinking people of good conscience will reject that ideology with a minimum of deliberation when they see/hear it for what it is.

    You can feel free now to either repeat at me something you heard on television, or, use your rhetoric to respond to the thesis of my post, which was (in case it’s still being missed) : “Good for Corsi, put him in the news a lot, because people will ultimately reject him and those aligned with him.”

    so….whatcha got mike?

  161. Destardi Says:

    …excellent followup Tom Baker.

  162. tom baker Says:

    Des - thank you. Unfortunately, we won’t hear a resoned response from anyone like michael or happy guy - they’re still too far in the dark to make comments on the look of the landscape.
