No longer a miserable failure?

No longer a miserable failure?

Googling “miserable failure” no longer takes you to President Bush’s home page at the White House. Google explains that “by improving our analysis of the link structure of the Web,” such mischief will now “typically return commentary, discussions, and articles” about the tactic itself.

Makes no difference, he is still the poster chymp for failure.

Did the Republican buy-out Google now? what a shame.

The Google are a bunch of party poopers.

    Googling “Santorum” still works though…..hmmmm….

  5. madmatt says:

what exactly qualifies as “miserable failure” in their eyes?

  6. SKdeA says:

And it took them only a few years! I don’t think they were trying too hard to fix it.

    The end of an era…

  8. Jeremy says:

As much as I agree that Bush IS a miserable failure, googling ‘Miserable Failure’ should NOT return the Whitehouse website. Google fixed an error in their search algorithm which prevents, say, “Raving Psychopath” from linking to Howard Dean’s site, “Vicious C*nt” from returning Hillary Clinton’s site, “Slick Willie” from returning Bill Clinton’s site, and “Jihadi Lovers” from returning the Democratic Party’s website. Don’t think for a second that the folks from the OTHER side of the aisle wouldn’t do that. I have nothing against “Bush Miserable Failure” returning a site that talks about how Bush is a miserable failure, but under no circumstance should it actually return the Whitehouse, period.

I give the geeks one week to restore the link.

  10. Princess Sparkle Pony says:

Dan Savage’s alternative definition of “santorum” is still #1, though, so take heart.

  11. doug says:

maybe so, but yahoo still gets bush first in line!

  12. OxyCon says:

I’ve noticed within the past year that it is much more difficult Googling for information and past quotes from the Bush administration and have suspected that Google is scrubbing links to this material.

  13. AshenShard says:

At least the ‘French military victories’ search still works … heh

  14. Rebel In CA says:

    Haven’t you all heard?

The Shrub Googles, so it stands to reason that there no longer will be any derogatory comments about him.

  15. ForTruth says:

The Santorum one is disgusting and totally awesome.

    “Satirical attempt” heh.

  16. DieNowForPeace says:

Try using google, without giving them your search findings to pad their web pointers:

    Anonymous “scraping”. Gotta love it.

  17. Evil Spaniard says:

What do you mean, that googling the President Bush’s home page in the White House web doesn’t show now the home page of the miserable failure impersonated in Bush’s miserable person?

    /Sarcasm (?) off

  18. Publicus says:

    It’s STILL TRUE that:

    there were no WMDs
the insurgency was not in it’s last throes
Brownie didn’t do a heckeva job

    and

    Bush IS a miserable failure.

good ol’ gee dub still pops up on copernic.com as a miserable failure(#2, but at least he’s up there)…perhaps we should all stop using google and start using other search engines to teach ‘em a lesson *grin*

Try not to forget something kids… there is a whole other half of the country that thinks the Democrats are going to destroy the country. For as much as you sit around thinking things about the right we feel exactly the same about you. RIght or wrong is a state of mind and a matter of perspective. Just trying to point out you do not own the moral high ground. There is a whole world out here who hates you and your policies as much as you hate us so call neo-cons. Enjoy your conspiracy theories, power corrupts and your darlings in washington are already back biting and falling apart. When Rangel is finished drafting you into the army pelosi and friends will have you eating tuna at the camp PX.
