I ran Cat dozers for over 18 years from d6's to d10Ls,they are not for the untrained or insane, they are huge but very very quick especially the new L series, they can spin and turn very quickly especially when full throttle and no decelerator applied,,the man was a fool along with the cat reps that let him in the cab,,I'm surprised no lawsuits weren't filed.
Anyone who would attempt something like that is totally irresponsible and mega-arrogant beyond normal reason

If someone chases people about with a motor vehicle, for most folks that's VEHICULAR ASSAULT, a felony. So where's the video footage for evidence? I mean, this isn't an Official Act of a Sitting President, this is reckless endangerment. You try doing this, and see how fast you end up getting printed and jailed. Ah well, it's good to be dictator king president.

And why the hell was our great leader in Peoria Illinois instead of in Washington DC working on the Iraq Crisis? Oh, I forgot, everything is going so well in Iraq that Bush can travel around, play on farm equipment, and hand out more bull hockey about the "vibrant economy." Who has the guts and power to stop this Madman?

If he is at the factory he doesn't need one. Only on a construction or mining site would he need one under an "official" operating capacity.

Bush, analysts differ on roots of CAT's rise
By Jan Dennis
Published: Tuesday, January 30, 2007 2:05 PM CST
Associated Press writer

EAST PEORIA - President Bush has said he uses Caterpillar Inc.'s trademark yellow earth-movers on his Texas ranch, was to get a firsthand look at one of their big brothers during a factory tour today.

Officials say Bush's scheduled stop at the East Peoria plant was steered by more than a boyish fascination with the hulking machines that clear the way for construction and mining work around the world.

On the eve of his State of the Economy address Wednesday in New York, Bush is touting Peoria-based Caterpillar as an example of how his administration's trade agreements and tax breaks can boost global sales and create jobs for U.S. workers.

“Our economy is strong thanks to the pro-growth policies we have in place here and the hard work of American entrepreneurs and workers,” Bush spokesman Alex Conant said.

Others, though, say Caterpillar itself is behind a global sales surge that helped the heavy equipment maker post record profits and revenues for three straight years, creating about 5,000 jobs at its U.S. plants in Illinois, Colorado, Pennsylvania and Tennessee.

Morningstar analyst John Kearney says the company simply took advantage of heightened worldwide demand for both construction and mining machines, using a strong dealer network and respected brand name that make Caterpillar “the 800-pound gorilla” among heavy equipment makers.

“I'd probably give management more credit than the president." I'm no politician, but it seems a pretty good political move to pick a successful company like Cat and give your spiel through them,” Kearney said.

Fred Giertz, a University of Illinois economics professor, says Bush's trade policies deserve a little credit. He said the administration has steered clear of import restrictions that other countries might have mirrored, creating a tougher market for U.S. exports.

“Sometimes politicians get too much blame when things go bad and too much credit when things go good. Most of the credit goes to the people at Caterpillar. They created an environment where it's possible to compete on a world scene and do well,” Giertz said.

I am sure that Bush thought he was being funny, just like when he gave the German PM a shoulder massage. Again, it was anything but funny -- or dignified. Now we can add warped to the list of adjectives to describe Bush.

Only a total cretin would find the creation of chaos and the threatening of the safety of others to be funny. How long until this bastard leaves office?

I must confess I was hoping one of the Stenographers, er…I mean Press, was injured. They are pretty useles anyway.
Comment by Your Conscience —

Good point. It would have been a lot more sensational if fat Cheney was there with Ms. Rice and the Snowman; the three, cheering the chimp while he crushed them to death with a handful of La"Roach"/Fox cubs....er (s)crews.
It would have been bloodly thrilling seeing the devils gutted by their forks. But they seem to know better, that the Butch(er) was probably sufferin from DUDI (..Dope Influence).

This would probably keep the press away from his back. No more annoying questions. Nevertheless, lets pray for more mistakes like this, so we would know Saddam was a nice guy compared with Butch(er).
