BAGHDAD — The U.S. military’s efforts to train and equip Iraq’s security forces have unwittingly strengthened the al-Mahdi Army militia, which has been battling to take over much of the capital as U.S. forces try to secure it.
U.S. Army commanders and enlisted men who are patrolling east Baghdad said the militia, which is loyal to anti-American Shiite cleric Muqtada al-Sadr, had heavily infiltrated the Iraqi police and army units that the Americans have trained and armed.
How dare they report these numbers. It only emboldens the enemy. And they better not show any caskets or dead people in the newspapers. It would be disrespectful to the dead and their families.
That was my best Jason imitation……oh yeah global warming is caused by city heat islands. Especially those ones in the arctic.
In my writing I melded the two of you. I, in no way, think you are on the level of Jason. My mistake and My apologies. Kind of a name-jack in a different way.

February 2nd, 2007 at 11:31 amHere in MN we just had an Iraqi Vet commit suicide due to PTSD.
He couldn’t get in to a VA Hospital for an appointment for 2-3 months.
Support our Troops? Bull! You’re cutting health benefits while ramping up troops with no armor or support.
This house of cards will fold, eventually. Let’s all do what we can to hasten the day…

We Americans have no idea just how ugly war is. If the news started putting up real images of the war every night, this war would end very quickly.
Or we would just whine that we can’t let our children watch tv alone.
Definitely one of those….
