I have a lot to say as a liberal democrat with a republican husband. My husband and I are in agreement politically for the 1st time in our 26 year marraige. The Democrats are going to loose the presidancy again in 08. If tha dem. party nominates Hillary (too many enimies), Obama (lack of experience...and his name), and Edwards (one of the back stabbing dems. involved with getting Dean out of the picture in 04). My republican friends and husband were ready to vote for Dean, but when Kerry got the nomination they voted for BUsh. I do believe that there are better candidates out there like Richardson (would get crossover votes), but my heart will always be with Al Gore or Howard Dean. The American people say they want honesty, but when they get it they turn it down. They allow the media to convince them that a person is not qualified to be President (Dean) and convince us some idiot is (ie. Bush and Kerry). And when it comes to the war in Iraq, the media convinced the public that if you were against invading Iraq, you were unpatriotic. The American people and stupid senate and congress went right along with Fox and the Bush administration's propaganda. I'm not a really smart person, but I Knew it was wrong and would turn into another Vietnam. Why didn't more of our leaders take a stand against this war before it was too late? I will never vote for anyone who gave BUsh the OK to invade Iraq and I don't care if they are good democrats. I and my husband are looking for a 3rd party candidate if the dems don't give us a worthwhile candidate. We both like Gov. Richardson, but no one talks about his run for the White HOuse.
