He cannot deny, without perjuring himself, that the greenhouse gas level is higher now than it has been since the Eocene, that the polar ice caps and glaciers all over the world are disappearing at an every increasing rate, that spring is starting earlier and fall is ending later than in recorded history, that migratory birds aren't migrating as far south anymore as they used to, that temperate climate plants and animals are now found much higher on mountains than they used to, that the sea level has in fact risen, that temperatures are higher now than they have been in recorded history, that tropical vector-borne diseases are being found far to the north of where they used to be, and so on and so on. To be faced with this data and to maintain that it is only business as usual indicates that one is living in a fantasy world, a polite way of saying that one has become delusional.
