NBC reported, “House Minority Leader John Boehner got emotional this morning as he spoke about the ’solemn’ debate that the House is set to begin today over the non-binding resolution opposing Bush’s troop increase.” Boehner “began to shed tears.”
Boehner’s fleeting moment of solemnity was quickly replaced with divisive attacks on Iraq war critics. Speaking on the House floor, Boehner began the House debate on the anti-escalation resolution by calling it a criticism of “the latest effort by American forces to win in Iraq.” Boehner said that escalation opponents are taking the “bait” of “al Qaeda and terrorist sympathizers” by using Iraq to “divide us here at home.” Watch it:
Transcript:
BOEHNER: Today, we begin an extended debate on the resolution criticizing the latest effort by American forces to win in Iraq. There’s no question that the war in Iraq has been difficult. All Americans are frustrated that we haven’t seen more success and that we haven’t seen it more quickly. But war is never easy and almost never goes according to plan.
Al Qaeda and their supporters in the region have been steadfast in their efforts to slow us down and frustrate our efforts to succeed. But because they cannot defeat Americans on the battlefield, al Qaeda and terrorist sympathizers around the world are trying to divide us here at home. Over the next few days, we have an opportunity to show our enemies that we will not take the bait.
The phrase “crocodile tears” comes strongly to mind…
February 13th, 2007 at 1:52 pmHis tears are for the demise of the Republican party.
February 13th, 2007 at 1:54 pm“You’re a foul one, mr. grinch……….”
February 13th, 2007 at 1:55 pmWhat a c*cksucker……
Oh, well, he can join his partner in crime Bob Ney in prison soon enough - you can be sure his tears will be genuine then.
Al Qaeda’s “trap” has already been jumped into with both feet by the radicals who hijacked our executive branch. Osama, if he’s alive, is laughing at them all day, every day.
February 13th, 2007 at 1:56 pmOh, my God! Waaa… waaa… What did you, run out of the little blue pill? Get a frigging grip, Mary. You’re obviously out of control, in more ways than one.
February 13th, 2007 at 1:56 pm“win in Iraq” STill talking about victory huh Boner? There is only bad and worse alternatives. Yep, al queda controls the house of reps. How did Boner get reelected? Covering up the Foley scandal and supporting anything the administration does should have sent him packing. 8th district Ohio, what the hell were you thinking?
February 13th, 2007 at 1:59 pmCrocodile…. Crocodile, why you cry??
February 13th, 2007 at 2:01 pmIf Boner breaks down and cries for his 5 minutes, who knows what the rest of the emotionally immature and depraved losers on the Republican side of the aisle will do…
February 13th, 2007 at 2:02 pm(The good news is that Mark Foley isn’t around any more)
Republicans dont’ want to “win” in Iraq. If they did, they’d have a plan first!
The neo-con’s want continuous war so they can use FEAR as their re-election tool!
When you REFUSE to plan for the end of the war, don’t be surprised when theer IS NO END!
Why do the neo-con’s hate America so much!
February 13th, 2007 at 2:03 pmThese people that represent the GOP today are very sick, deluded, wackos. I expect many more to go down to defeat in 2008 because more and more Americans cannot stand their pathetic behaviors.
February 13th, 2007 at 2:04 pmAnother Bush lapdog! Woof-Woof
February 13th, 2007 at 2:06 pmsniff… sniff… I’m so sorry, I don’t want to be a Nazi, anymore. They’re so mean and talk bad to me and I’m so sorry… sniff…
February 13th, 2007 at 2:07 pmNot only is he totally wrong, delusional, and manipulative, John Boner is a huge pussy. How about taking the “bait” of having grown ass men crying on the House floor. Real statesman-like
February 13th, 2007 at 2:08 pm…this insincere charlatan will hold the inbred faithful captivated by this macabre “performance”…
…tomorrow the Bushites will be frothing at the mouth and screaming for liberal/progressive blood…
…American politics…
…the REAL Blood sport…
February 13th, 2007 at 2:08 pmBoner, I cried when you gleefully passed out checks on the House floor from the Tobacco lobbyists.
February 13th, 2007 at 2:08 pmYeah, you’ll probably win points with the media for this display, but I cry every morning at the loss of the America I grew up in.
And by the way, your statement about leaving Iraq will just leave the terrorists there confuses me…
Are the Sunnis or the Shiites the terrorists? Have you boneheads figured that out yet?
Let me know who the frigg’n enemy is before you cry anymore, OK Mary?
Hey, why does Boner’s hand smell like onions?!
February 13th, 2007 at 2:09 pmTranscript or Script? Hmmm…
February 13th, 2007 at 2:10 pmBoner is despicable. Crocodile tears is correct. This dude has probably used this trick on his mother and all his lovers. “I didn’t mean to …….fill in the blank……” If any one of those tears was real it would represent his own fear and self pity at the thought of being held accountable by Americans and Congress. He is as bad as they come.
Manipulative, lying, vile bastards ….the GOP
February 13th, 2007 at 2:11 pmWhat Acting School did pervert Boehner graduate from? There’s plenty of dirt on him and the Page Program so he’s probably crying for himself when his misdeeds catch up with him. What a phoney!
February 13th, 2007 at 2:11 pmYep, It’s “Cryin’ Time” for Boner Boehner and his cadre of criminals! They’ll all soon be in jail.
February 13th, 2007 at 2:11 pmnow THAT is acting… he’ll be getting an Oscar nod for this one
February 13th, 2007 at 2:12 pmMaybe he’s crying because the tobacco lobbies won’t be giving him checks to hand out for votes on the Senate floor any longer? What a crook!
February 13th, 2007 at 2:12 pmI got it.
February 13th, 2007 at 2:15 pmHe hadn’t had a cigarette for over 3 hours,
and he just broke down and cried.
He reminds me of Del in the ‘Crying Game’.
Faiz - Just a suggestion - Who cares if John Boehner cries buckets of tears and has to be re-hydrated? Why not concentrate on the things Progressives seek most at this time - the end of the war in Iraq? How about asking some of the more vocal loons from International ANSWER, etc. to stop interrupting Senator Obama when he’s speaking about the result Progressives want - an expedient end to the War. Talk about preaching to the choir.
February 13th, 2007 at 2:15 pmOf course he would be in tears thinking about or discussing a serious, solemn debate which will probably chip away at his precious war and ideology. Imagine the horror for him and his ilk. And what do you do when you are afraid and potentially shamed? Try to make others afraid and shame them. SSDD.
February 13th, 2007 at 2:15 pmI was frankly disappointed when the Foley - Hasert thing went down that Boner was able to slip through the cracks. He’s a sly one alright. Been using his looks - “charm” for years to manipulate I’m sure. The man is an empty shell –he’s only alive in relation to how well he can manipulate others. Cry away Boner. Thanks for drawing attention to yourself. Maybe a few people will be reminded of who you really are as they discuss your “solemn weeping” and bring more attention to how you’ve behaved in your job.
February 13th, 2007 at 2:18 pmwhat a whore… he must have some big envestments in that palacial US Embassy. Or in oil. I wonder what his stock portfolio holds???
February 13th, 2007 at 2:19 pmCrocodile tears, nothing else.
February 13th, 2007 at 2:19 pmOh, and Bonnie, you’re a girlie man.
February 13th, 2007 at 2:20 pm.
i haven’t read this thread yet, but have been waiting for a BONER thread to get this out…
haven’t heard anything about this sumbitch’s f’n nerve last sunday when he kept prodding hoyer about “when, when” will the dems give the repugs a chance to debate, bitching about the dems shutting them out…
i was yelling at hoyer to pop his grinch face and tell the chump he had his chance for the past six years to do something but they were all DO NOTHINGs….
gawd… i’m stewing and boiling all over again…
February 13th, 2007 at 2:20 pmwas looking for clips, but no one seemed as bothered as i was, i guess…
.
Boehner said that escalation opponents are taking the “bait†of “al Qaeda and terrorist sympathizers†by using Iraq to “divide us here at home.â€
Oh, al Qaeda, you are such clever terrorists. You tempted us into invading Iraq by attacking us on 9/11. Yet, most of the terrorists that day were Saudis and none were Iraqis. Then you cleverly hid in Afghanistan. Now that we’ve taken that bait and invaded Iraq, you are using that action to divide our nation. Oh, why did we not see this coming? It is all so obvious now.
Well, al Qaeda, we are not so gullible. Fool us once, shame on me, fool me twice . . . we won’t be fooled again.
February 13th, 2007 at 2:22 pmWhat a shallow fool… this entire war was optional.
February 13th, 2007 at 2:22 pmsickening. maybe he could choke on his own vomit as well?
February 13th, 2007 at 2:22 pmBoehner is on message, faithfully repeating the Republicans’ “embolden the enemy” talking point:
“We will embolden terrorists in every corner in the world. We will give Iran free access to the Middle East. And who doesn’t believe the terrorists will just follow our troops home?”
February 13th, 2007 at 2:23 pmwell… so he laid out the line for the dems to cross…
they better step up! … 5 minutes each… a LOT can be said in 5 minutes…
should be some good C-SPAN viewing at least…
February 13th, 2007 at 2:24 pmHe makes me proud to be an Ohioan. Him and Ney.
February 13th, 2007 at 2:27 pmOh, and Kucinich.
Boehner said that escalation opponents are taking the “bait†of “al Qaeda and terrorist sympathizers†by using Iraq to “divide us here at home.â€
Hey numb-nuts, why are we in Iraq, and who’s to blame for us being divided about it?
That’s right, the Repukes and their abominable leader, George.
Is it even worth them pandering to the 28%-ers, otherwise known as their “base”. LOL.
February 13th, 2007 at 2:27 pmBoehner’s been in bed with the tobacco lobbies for eons and soon he will be the subject of intense investigations about payoffs - from Big Tobacco as well as his being the “front man” in bribing his colleagues for their votes in favor of legislation favoring Big Tobacco. I suspect that Boner Boehner will realize the same fate as his bosom-buddy, Bob Ney who sits in prison right now. That’s the only reason Boehner would cry - for his own fate - for his own butt. The man has no scruples, dignity, or morals - that was clear with his complicity in the Foley Sex Scandal and the fact that he chose to ignore the complaints he and his colleagues on the committee were receiving for YEARS. I wonder why Bohner chose to ignore those complaints???? I think we know the answer to that.
This guy’s a pathetic actor, a charlatan of a representative and comes from that illustrious state of voting corruption filth - Ohio - the home of the crooked Diebold Company. I wonder how much money Boehner took from Diebold (or paid Diebold) to create intentionally hackable EVM’s? Again, I believe we know the answer to that. Connect the dots between Bob Ney - Ken Stilwell - John Boehner - and Diebold and we’ve got a mega-scandal brewing. Can’t wait to see that scandal bring about charges. Whistleblowers are feeling free to talk now lest their a$$es land in jail - for immunity reasons and because this administration of corruption and lies is coming to a screeching halt.
February 13th, 2007 at 2:29 pmI think that Booehner is emboldening the terrorists showing how pussy can be a Republican congressman (senator?).
Why is Boehner against the USA?
February 13th, 2007 at 2:29 pmwow
his crying emboldens the enemy.
February 13th, 2007 at 2:30 pmO.K. The tough guys, the REAL Americans, that are for the war can’t keep from crying when they know their argument is toast? Hah! Their leader, an Ivy League Male Cheerleader didn’t tell them that only sissies cry when the chips are down? Oh, wait, he is a cry baby too! WAHHHHH! What a bunch of Pus….you get my drift. These are the guys that are supposed to figure out how to win?
February 13th, 2007 at 2:31 pmLet’s talk about the welfare of our troops - for once and what’s “best” for them, please. Keeping them in harm’s way in the midst of a Civil War is insane. Bringing them home is the patriotic thing to do. These Rethugs are all the same - cheap liars, charlatans, and crooks. Let’s see their butts rot in prison.
February 13th, 2007 at 2:31 pmThe republicans took Al Qeadas bait by moving ourselves to into their backyard where they can kill us easier. We also took their bait by letting them say we are weak to trick cowboys like bush, inc. into proving that we are not by doing exactly what Osama knew we would do simply by saying he doesnt think we will do it….
http://www.pof.gov.pk/products/81mmhem57.htm
Pakistan makes the same types of rounds as has been shown as evidence of Iran weapons in Iraq.
February 13th, 2007 at 2:32 pmBesides, speaking about ‘emboldening Al Quaeda’, let the real dialogue begin and tell everyone how one of the top 7 money men in Al Quaeda (Bin Laden’s Brother) was in business with George W. Bush in his Arbusto Energy Company…..and then went on to be the major shareholder in BCCI (weapons for drugs)….let’s talk about who’s involved with Al Quaeda, please. I can’t wait for some real honest dialogue to begin about that so we can finally get to the bottom of the inconsistencies surrounding 911 and Bush’s connections to Al Quaeda.
February 13th, 2007 at 2:34 pmWe are where we are in Iraq because nutjobs like Boehner refused to do their job when it was their job to lead the House and our Nation properly.
Don’t cry for me buddy. Honestly, I think he’s crying for all his lost perks & kickbacks from the old “majority” days.
February 13th, 2007 at 2:34 pmEx-Sen. Fred Thompson’s in town. He must have given Boehner a few acting tips (”When the camera’s start clicking, think of something that’ll make you cry–maybe Nancy Pelosi in the Oval Office”).
February 13th, 2007 at 2:34 pmHow about all the parents who have lost children in this unecessary war?
February 13th, 2007 at 2:34 pmMaybe he’s crying about the 600+ billion national debt and the bankruptcy of this country that he and his cadre of GOP criminals have gotten us into??
February 13th, 2007 at 2:35 pmBon Bon,
We’ve been divided here at home since 2000, when your party stole the election, remember?
February 13th, 2007 at 2:36 pmIt seems that at every critical juncture in this whole mess the fear of Al Qiada has been brouoght up by the Republicans and at every turn we have drilled ourselves deeper and deeper into the muck. Al-Qiada’s goal is to destroy the U.S.A. It doesn’t have to do it with another bomb or attack. It can watch us go bankrupt by chasing our tail in the wind.
It’s time to stop using the fear of Al Qiada as a way to sway the American public. It’s time to start looking at the enormity of the failures of the current administration. This country can and will survive Al Qiada. We first have to survive Bush.
February 13th, 2007 at 2:36 pmDaytime TV at its finest.
February 13th, 2007 at 2:36 pmAs Bin Laden said - he doesn’t have to do a thing to tank this country - in fact, we (with Dumbya’s help) will tank ourselves which is occurring economically right now. Factor in insecure borders and an impotent government who couldn’t get water to the people of New Orleans for 5 days and you’ve got a country that’s already down the tubes but still doesn’t realize it. It’s all over - but for the cryin’ and now that the “crybaby (Boehner) has sung” we can realize what’s really happening and no longer continue to delude ourselves.
Boehner wasn’t crying about the solemnity of the session and that which was being discussed; he was crying because he, himself, has aided and abetted and is FULLY responsible for the demise of this democracy.
February 13th, 2007 at 2:38 pm“Boehner said that escalation opponents are taking the ‘bait’ of ‘al Qaeda and terrorist sympathizers’ by using Iraq to ‘divide us here at home.’ ”
-John “Crybaby” Boehner
Bush and the republicans divided us by starting this crackpot war.
February 13th, 2007 at 2:39 pmAw, shucks….poor John Boehner….he was simply born a wuss!
February 13th, 2007 at 2:39 pmI guess some men just can’t handle the mental stress of working five days a week.
February 13th, 2007 at 2:40 pm#52 - great minds think alike? Precisely what I was thinking - we’re tanking ourselves (with the aiding and abetting of the Rethugs).
February 13th, 2007 at 2:40 pm#42 No kidding. I’ll bet the evil doers are sitting there smoking hookahs and laughing their asses off at this. just imagine battle hardened mujahadeen, insurgents and generally pissed off freedom fighters of every stripe seeing this and saying “OOH, I’m scared.” Somebody please start a tissue drive on Boneheads’ office. Send them by the truckload. What’s worse, imagine our guys stuck out there in that hell and seeing this. Real morale booster Congressman. Way to go.
February 13th, 2007 at 2:40 pmWhen I see a Republican acting like a freak, my first thought is “what have they got on this guy?”
February 13th, 2007 at 2:43 pmTo the the Republican publicity/propaganda machine: I prefer the old “Weeping Indian” campaign to stop pollution.
February 13th, 2007 at 2:43 pmA tissue drive to Boehner would be fabulous! Let’s get one started today.
February 13th, 2007 at 2:44 pmIf this Guy cries by just talking about Al qaida…what will he do if he was in a street downtown Baghdad today?!!
February 13th, 2007 at 2:46 pm…pussy…
February 13th, 2007 at 2:46 pmHey, screw it, call me a terrorist sympathiser, then. I want us out of Iraq.
February 13th, 2007 at 2:47 pm#60 You can bet that Boehner’s breaking with all they’ve got on him. He’s in the thick of it - not the least of which is involved in the stolen election in Ohio. There are groups investigating what occurred (www.bradblog.com) and http://www.blackboxvoting.com and people on the inside have spoken out and are providing testimony about who was responsible, how they hacked the machines, etc. etc. Boehner’s at the bottom of this barrel as well as several others which have to do with kickbacks and bribes. Also, our illustrious new Secy of Defense, Robert Gates, who sits on the board of VoteHere, the largest voting machine lobby in the country is also at the bottom of this barrel.
When the real accountability beings, it will be like “shooting fish (big fish) in a barrel”. Never knew how apropos that adage was until now.
February 13th, 2007 at 2:48 pm#62…. good idea!
February 13th, 2007 at 2:48 pmboxes of tissue would be cheap postage, and they’d clog up the mail room fast!
What is Boehner’s military background? Draft Dodger? If he’s such a wuss, he certainly hasn’t served in the military.
February 13th, 2007 at 2:48 pm“Many a tear has to fall…..but it’s all……in the game…..all in the wonderful game…..that we…..call graft.
February 13th, 2007 at 2:49 pm#62….Boehner added something to his resume’ , and that is mixing ‘issues’ with ’tissues”….
February 13th, 2007 at 2:49 pmA tissue drive to Boehner would be fabulous! Let’s get one started today.
Comment by veritas — February 13, 2007 @ 2:44 pm
I’ll donate three used tissues.
February 13th, 2007 at 2:53 pmHe doesn’t need a military background. He’s got that tan.

February 13th, 2007 at 3:03 pmAnother one flew over the cuckoo’s nest…
It makes me want to cry that we cannot find better, saner people to represent us.
February 13th, 2007 at 3:05 pmWake up followers of this failed policy. Al Qiada is our enemy. But it isn’t the current cause for our pain. Iraq is not and never was a central point of the terrorism that would effect this country.
Still be a republican and conservative. Hell, it be nice to see actual republicans and conservatives instead of the spending control freaks in charge now.
We can change the course of this country by standing up to Bush and his failed policy. We are not bowing to any terrorists and any talk of such is coming from someone who is too scared to look at what is in front of them.
Redeploy into Afghanistan and secure that country. Give Pakistan a deadline for every Taliban and Al Qiada member taking refuge within it’s borders. Nuzzle up close to Iran’s border with the understanding we won’t be invading but we will let them know we are there.
I don’t advocate any escalation with Iran but I am tired of watching our soldiers become targets for Sunni, Shiite and any other crack pot.
February 13th, 2007 at 3:06 pmHypocrite.
February 13th, 2007 at 3:09 pmBoehner said that escalation opponents are taking the “bait†of “al Qaeda and terrorist sympathizers†by using Iraq to “divide us here at home.â€
Why is it that Republicans are spokesmen for al Qaeda?
February 13th, 2007 at 3:16 pm.
REMEMBER:
“We’re fighting them over there…
…to keep from fighting them over here.”
…which is why our borders and ports are wide open…
…and if one looks around ANY American neighborhood, school, mall, church, or cul-de-sac…
…there’s almost no place (in America) a suicide bomber couldn’t detonate undeterred…
…except of course at the White(man’s) House…
…Time to start asking ourselves a CRITICAL question…
…given the fact that SUPER security concious countries like Israel, England, and Spain have all had terrorists attacks (post 9/11)…
…and given the (post 9/11) security breaches here in the U.S.
…why HAVEN’T we been attacked?
…certainly NOT because they can’t…
February 13th, 2007 at 3:16 pmWhat a wuss!
Waa, waa, I’m going to miss my war profiteering.
Give the cry baby a gun and send him to Iraq. Then he’ll have something to cry about.
February 13th, 2007 at 3:24 pmI’m so tired of american traitors saying that talking about the war or anything that the government is doing is helping the terrorists(which i don’t think are everywhere like the government would like us to believe). In a supposedly open society, debate is a good thing, and not something to fear. If talking about the war is hurting the troops morale, then I believe that the circumstances of the war are hurting the morale, and not the debate. Honestly, I don’t care if a house or senate debate hurts the troops, presidents, or anyone elses feelings because it needs to be done.
February 13th, 2007 at 3:26 pmBoehner is a scum-sucking sack of shit.
February 13th, 2007 at 3:34 pmYou are absolutely right mike. In a grown up world bad things are talked about.
February 13th, 2007 at 3:34 pmPlease get me the drugs that this fool is taking.
We didn’t start the war in Iraq. “They” did.
He then goes on to link the war in Iraq with the 1979 hostage taking in Iran. As if there is any link in the world about that.
Another Chickenhawk Republican who doesn’t mind spending the lives of volunteers and patriots who believe in the country a lot more than this fool does.
Well, 66% of America doesn’t agree with you John. Keep coming up with nonsense such as this and you may get the number up to 75-80%.
February 13th, 2007 at 3:39 pmHey Mike….That is THE only talking point the Rethuglicans have and they repeat it over and over ad nauseum. Of course, the moral thing to do is to stop this escalation but what can a Rethug legitimately say except that we’re “helping the enemy”. They’re the ones emboldening the enemy and they know it well. It’s their mantra: DARVO - Deny Attack and Reverse Victim and Offender. They’re the ones who are unpatriotic and have nothing left to discuss so they accuse the others of precisely what they are….Reversing Victim & Offender….it’s typical GOP blather and meaningless drivel.
February 13th, 2007 at 3:41 pmJohn Boehner (aka wussy pussy) has now taken the prestigious award for being ‘THE BEST RECRUITING TOOL FOR THE DEMOCRATIC PARTY’ in the nation! Atta boy, BonerPerv….you’re doing a “heckova job”! Yessiree!
February 13th, 2007 at 3:43 pmI’ve just figured out what Boner-Bohner looks like in the still image posted above - a flaming douchbag!
February 13th, 2007 at 3:43 pmAppears some cigarette smoke got in his eyes.
February 13th, 2007 at 3:48 pmWhat happened to the days when Ohio produced Presidents? (presidential “contenders” — the quotes are for you, Dennis Kucinich — dont count)
February 13th, 2007 at 3:51 pmmy guess is his meds hadn’t kicked in yet
February 13th, 2007 at 3:51 pmLOOKS LIKE WARDEN IN The SHAWSHANK REDEMPTION
Anyone remember the Tim Robbins movie by Steven King the Shawshank Redemption about the corruption behind bars of the jail warden and his crony cop? This guy Boehner looks eerily similar to the actor who played the warden. Perhaps he will bless us by ending his part shuffling off this mortal coil as did the warden’s character in the film?
February 13th, 2007 at 3:56 pmNothing but crocodilian tears from this slick bounder, this foul reptilian repugnant-repub Boehner! This is the same creep who tried to shift blame from himself upon Hastert over the congressional page pedophile scandal–
February 13th, 2007 at 3:56 pmLeopards never change their spots
So let us all connect the dots
And see that Boehner
Is a lying prevaricator
Who likes to knife people in the back while kissing their tots!
Good call Shirley and a great movie.
February 13th, 2007 at 4:00 pmOh, please……not big, fat crocodile tears.
**pounding head on desk**
The amount of time Boney spends in the tanning bed emboldens the terrorists.
February 13th, 2007 at 4:01 pmDid he shed a tear for all the americans who have lost loved ones in this war??
February 13th, 2007 at 4:02 pmWAKE UP JOHN….. you were lied too! I think that is why you are really crying you relize that your party has failed you and the nation. The dead bodies keep coming home, no victory, no end in sight.
Boener was crying because he has already used up his monthly pass to “L.A. Tanning Salon” and he can’t afford to buy more time.
February 13th, 2007 at 4:02 pmDid he seriously cry? What a douche
February 13th, 2007 at 4:03 pmeven Nancy Pelosi wouldn’t resort to tears
Republicans = pussies
February 13th, 2007 at 4:05 pmthat’s probably a golf course tan, zooey…
February 13th, 2007 at 4:10 pmjust sayin’…
if he were a song, he’d be “tears of an assclown”
February 13th, 2007 at 4:10 pmThis guy has eyes a lifleless as a shark.
February 13th, 2007 at 4:11 pmI guess his prospective used-car buyer didn’t want the undercoating.
February 13th, 2007 at 4:13 pmLooks like Boner is a Pussy.
February 13th, 2007 at 4:14 pmHow about asking some of the more vocal loons from International ANSWER, etc. to stop interrupting Senator Obama when he’s speaking about the result Progressives want - an expedient end to the War. Talk about preaching to the choir. Comment by valiant venus — February 13, 2007 @ 2:15 pm

Who exactly is a dictator of a stateless organizations?
Communism holds that the majority, also known as the workers (through democracy) would hold power over the country to transition to communism. One could argue that Chavez is an example of this through popular elections, but one could not argue that Castro is.
Also, I disagree with unbelievable, Chavez is not a dictator, despite efforts by the american anti-commie press to paint him as one. He was duly elected in a democratic election by his own people. But dear aphrodite, you’ve always been anti-democratic, when your dear wealthy classes are threatened in any way. So why not smear Chavez, while you go eat that tic-tac. ‘Kay child?

February 13th, 2007 at 7:11 pmI doubt that Al Qaeda has a great interest in our internal politics. However, if they do pay attention to our politics, I’m sure they prefer Republican policies over Democratic ones. Most likely, they’re glad we’re in Iraq so they can more easily fight our troops. Most likely, they love Republican policies that create an environment where so many Muslims hate America. You’re a f**king idiot, Boehner.

No. You aren’t a public figure, which would help your side of it. But Boehner was making political speech, which is constitutionally protected to the point you can say almost anything you want without being held liable in any court other than “of public opinion.”
And seriously? Let’s take a cue from 157’s horrible example and maybe tone down the melodrama a little. If Boehner’s words light that much of a fire under you, organize some political action in response. Spare us the bellicosity and do something that makes a difference rather than stewing about suing… we all know you ain’t gonna do it even if you did have a case. Take some action rather than make yourself look silly in a comment thread.
