MSNBC extends Olbermann’s contract.
“Keith Olbermann will continue to be a thorn in Bill O’Reilly’s side for at least four more years,” MSNBC reports. Olbermann has agreed to a “second term” with NBC News that “will take him into 2011.” Besides hosting “Countdown,” Olbermann will now “contribute occasional essays to ‘NBC Nightly News’ and there will be two prime-time ‘Countdown’ specials a year on NBC.”

I like the various segments, such as Oddball. The viewer can agree with the lunacy in the obviously odd behavior of people and are set up to consider the lunacy and oddity of more serious news segments.

There are now three VERY strong independent lefty radio shows and Olberman on the TV. Whereas with Olberman, even though he goes on tirades against Bush, that’s not what his show is about! His show is about bringing the viewer what he considers the top ten news stories of the day. That’s it. It’s not complicated… He just happens to not drink the kool-aid, so to speak.

It was just some couple of days back when Ludacris, one of his sworn and “vile” enemies took away some grammies. And now, Keith is getting honored. I believed Keith would have also sent a “Shout-out” to O’Reilly.
Lets pray bill’o’ suffers the same fate like Dr. Sami al-Arian, an associate professor of computer engineering at the University of South Florida, who O’Reilly didn’t just ratted out, but who he also got bounced from his job, and later jailed by the Department of Defense, on racketeering and terrorist charges due to his alleged association with Palestinians. this loud-mouthed “smear merchant” needs to be made to account for his great and scarey lies. If the system were to be like this: 1 big lie, 1 year imprisonment; O’Reilly would be resurrected a Prisoner, doing eternal time, for his limitless lies.
Lets pray more positive tv personalities like Ed Henry and Olberman, who represent the truth; the total opposite of what windbags like O’Reilly stands for, get more more recognition and promotions they deserve.

Well, It’s no surprise that Keith has achieved this notable coverage and he deserves more responsibility and more money. I’ve followed the political side of his career from the beginning. When he lost the prior show on politics, I was desolate. Now, I never miss the best political show on the air. No bull, facts only…how refreshing. Rock on.
