Rep. Duncan Hunter (R-CA) yesterday named the South Carolina advisers to his presidential campaign. One of them, Lois Eargle, boasted about her hard-line views on immigration, explaining that when “an illegal immigrant with three children came to her office this week asking for free legal help for an abused child,” she told the immigrant to “get back to Mexico.” Another Hunter adviser, Dr. Henry Jordan, declared last year, “I mean you’ve got to be stupid to believe in evolution, I mean really.”

Lois obviously doesn’t need any yardwork done, or housekeeping.
February 23rd, 2007 at 11:59 amie; looking for campaign contributions to be used for legal defense
same republican message. “support my crimes, please?” “after all, if you don’t help me, they will come and get you, yes you! there in the chair, watching me on tv”
if congress made it illegal to use such donations for anything other than what they are supposed to…… I forgot, this is congress, that is what they make laws for, to protect themselves first, the people last

February 23rd, 2007 at 12:03 pmI’m sure that’ll work out real well for Dr. Jordan, especially after he’s indicted for being a Cunninham-Foggo-Wilkes mafioso. HA - welcome to the system, maybe we’ll get you a first name, too!
Someone tell Dr. Jordan that you’d have to be stupid to go to work for a Republican’t politican who’s about to be indicted and put on trial.
February 23rd, 2007 at 12:03 pmWho is Duncan Hunter?
February 23rd, 2007 at 12:11 pmFirst of all, you gotta be pretty g!d!mn stupid to think Darwin’s Theory actually states that we’ve evolved from monkeys. F!!king retard. Were’s the g!d!mn evidence we poofed into existence? And WTF is scientific about the Poof Notion(TM) (as creationism isn’t even a good hypothosis let alone a testable theory).
February 23rd, 2007 at 12:12 pmDr. Henry Jordan, declared last year, “I mean you’ve got to be stupid to believe in evolution, I mean really.â€
Yup, a hyuck!
February 23rd, 2007 at 12:12 pmYou’ve got to be stupid to be Duncan Hunter.
Fun times ahead…
February 23rd, 2007 at 12:13 pmdamn, how do such ignorant friggin people reach such influential positions.
February 23rd, 2007 at 12:13 pmGood thing the Native Americans didn’t have the same response when some European illigal immigrants came over for a long Winter one year and ran out of food. I can just imagine, “go back to Europe you fork-tongued bastards!”
To Add: gotta just love that Conservative Compassion for their fellow human. More of the same from the West-Virgina Values Republicans. Burn your school books, sleep with your sister, and praise Jebbus!
February 23rd, 2007 at 12:16 pmDr. Henry Jordan, declared last year, “I mean you’ve got to be stupid to believe in evolution, I mean really.â€

February 23rd, 2007 at 12:33 pmHunter will never be elected president, so forget about him.
February 23rd, 2007 at 12:33 pmHe might not be electable, but we can at least hope he brings down the rest of the Republicans as he sinks (and at the same time, let the general populace become all too aware of how Republicants really think).
February 23rd, 2007 at 12:38 pmThe longer Duncan Hunter and Tancredo stay in the race, the better for us.
February 23rd, 2007 at 12:40 pmAnother Hunter adviser, Dr. Henry Jordan, declared last year, “I mean you’ve got to be stupid to believe in evolution, I mean really.â€
Yep. Us smart people know that the earth is only 10,000 years old. And it’s flatter ‘n a pancake. Dinosaurs were on Noah’s Ark. The sun revolves around the earth. And when you hear thunder, that’s just the angels bowling up in Heaven.
February 23rd, 2007 at 1:03 pmDoing a quick the google on Doktor Jordan pulled up this gem;
February 23rd, 2007 at 1:24 pmSouth Carolina Board of Education member Dr. Henry Jordan, was quoted earlier this year as saying, “Screw the Buddhists and kill the Muslims…
Gordon got his MD from Emory University. Which has one of the best epidemiology programs in the country. Medical doctors are taught basically, a brush course on hundreds of years worth of information on the body. They are not typically taught evolution. Any evolution an MD has, they generally get at the undergraduate level.
RM Nesse has a great paper on this: http://links.jstor.org/sici?sici=0006-3568(199711)47%3A10%3C664%3AEBITMC%3E2.0.CO%3B2-T

February 23rd, 2007 at 1:34 pmits scary to think there are people that would be so callous when a potentially abused child is at stake to not to even find out the details, AND then to be proud of their callousness. republicans are so hideous inside the words don’t exist to adequately capture their hideousness.

WELL! With such “A-I American, True-Blue RIGHT-thinking Gems” like Eargle and Jordan, Duncan Hunter is a SURE-IN, for the garbage dump, that is! Lois Eargle, why don’t you crawl back under that rock you came from and join those filthy maggots you like to cavort with, and Henry Jordan, didn’t you miss a link or two up the evolutionary chain? Your apeishness is VERY EVIDENT in your unenlightened prattle! With “friends” and so-called “advisers” like Eargle and Jordan, Hunter DOESN’T NEED ENEMIES!!!!! No, I take that back–Dunc, you need to get more rightwingnuts like Eargle and Jordan on board your campaign boat–so the weight of their combined IDIOCY SINKS YOUR GODDAMN SHIP!!!!!
February 23rd, 2007 at 2:10 pm[…] Duncan Hunter, a GOP contender for Presidental, quickly dived to the bottom of the barrel for his advisers: Rep. Duncan Hunter (R-CA) yesterday named the South Carolina advisers to his presidential […]
February 23rd, 2007 at 2:10 pm“including one who boasted about telling an illegal immigrant worried about an abused child to “get back to Mexico.”
At a news conference at the Statehouse, Horry County Auditor Lois Eargle talked up her hard-line stance on illegal immigrants.
The former county GOP chairwoman said an illegal immigrant with three children came to her office this week asking for free legal help for an abused child.”I told her the best thing for her to do was to get back to Mexico,” Eargle said.”
Wow…That’s pretty despicable. And then to boast about it at a press conference? That just takes the despicability up a notch…
February 23rd, 2007 at 2:12 pmIf progressives believe in evolution, how do they explain (after millions of years) the survival of the appeasement gene.
February 23rd, 2007 at 3:16 pm1: OTOH, “liberals” love having illegal workers do their yard work instead of doing it themelves or hiring a fellow citizen.
11: When you’re actually familiar with this issue, you realize that allowing IllegalImmigration isn’t “compassion”. Allowing one country to act as a RemoraFish on another is not a good policy.
The full quote is “I told her the best thing for her to do was to get back to Mexico,” and CNN doesn’t provide the context of the issue. The best thing may in fact have been to go back to Mexico, just as an American in France might be advised to return to the U.S. if they have legal difficulties. I mean, the idea that CNN is lying or misleading did cross everyone else’s minds, right?

If Americans are EVER going to realize the promises of “Life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness”…
…If America is to maintain its strength through unity and diversity, and its Core Democratic Principles…
…The GOOD White people of this nation are going to have to begin the purge of the confederate flag loving inbred racists…
…Duncan Hunter and all of the conned’self-servative al Crackkker traitors are the enemy…
…and they must be dealt with before they gain any more political power…
…the Beast in the south needs to be slain…
…A report the other day (I believe from the NYT) cited an IG report on the Army’s ROTC Program…
…only 10 programs remain in the Northeast (the rest have been closed down)…
…the ROTC has basically been moved to southern (and midwest) states…
…in case you don’t understand what this means; the ROTC has traditionally been where America gets many of her Army officer corps…
…take this fact coupled with the fact that the base closures (BRAC) have been disproportionately in “BLUE” states…
…and I suppose you can see the point…
…the south is taking over our military…
…the south where the confederate flag, Robert E. Lee, and Stonewall Jackson are all STILL revered…
February 24th, 2007 at 12:45 amThe GOOD White people of this nation are going to have to begin the purge of the confederate flag loving inbred racists?
What would you suggest? Lining them up and shooting them?
…the Beast in the south needs to be slain…
What beast? Slain how?
