the unpredictability of the Oscar nomination process. Sometimes, the vote count doesn’t always tell the whole story. Watch it:

You know, I tried to figure it out, there’s no rhyme or reason to who’s going to win, or how they figure these things out. Because, you know, you can’t — Jennifer Hudson. Jennifer Hudson’s here tonight. Look at that. I tell you. Jennifer Hudson was on American Idol, America didn’t vote for her, and yet she’s here with an Oscar nomination. That’s amazing. That’s incredible.
And then, Al Gore is here, America did vote for him, and then — [applause] Very complicated.

I depends on the venue. If it was one of her standup routines, yes…but not an awards ceremony like the Oscars. They could have come up with another way to get her point across.

February 26th, 2007 at 12:13 amAs for Tracy, I’ve seen this type before, it’s acute delusional republikkklan sarcoma, it strikes roughly 50% of the U.S. population and starts with frequenting blogs with turrets like symptoms and delusions of grandeur, then progresses into fascinations with fecal matter and sociopath behavior, finally coalescing into bizarre Fox News obsessions coupled with a strong desire to become a Faux – rather Fox News anchor. The only cure is either ignoring the sufferer or decapitation, grim either way.

February 26th, 2007 at 1:12 pmThe Academy Awards have “Consolation Oscars” though poor Peter O’Toole didn’t win one this year, probably because he didn’t generate enough sympathy or kiss enough butts to get the consolation oscar–you have to work at it to get one and O’Toole doesn’t give a damn either way, which is as it should be. Hopefully, though, the Academy will see fit to honour him before he “shuffles off this mortal coil,” though he still looks pretty hale and hearty!!!!!
