McCain suffers for supporting war.

By Nico Pitney on Feb 27th, 2007 at 10:34 am

McCain suffers for supporting war.

As Sen. John McCain (R-AZ) champions Iraq escalation and “seeks to secure religious and social conservatives by espousing a hard line against homosexual ‘marriage’ and abortion, independents are abandoning him in droves,” new polling shows.

I used to have great respect and admiration for the old war dog, McCain. His patriotism and service was balanced by what I considered a profound and appealing message in his run in 2000.

But that was all before he turned from hero to hemorrhoid.

  4. ForTruth says:

McCain was dumb to hug up to the Bushies like he did. He sunk his boat.

  5. Bush War of Terror from America for Make Benefit Glorious Nation of Iraq says:

I hope this loser wins the nominiation so the Repubs can get their asses handed to them..

    again.

  6. DMom says:

McCain is suffering because he is a flip flopper and even the republicans can’t keep up with who’s side he is on…..

He supports the war today, but tomorrow if the wind is right, or left he will change his opinon.

what? why doesn’t he do what?
Rudy has no chance in 08. He has plenty of skeletons in his closet that will bit him in the ass. look at his beloved Kerik…corrupt crook.

  8. profmarcus says:

boo-hoo… mccain deserves everything he gets… he’s only brought it on himself…

And, yes, I DO take it personally

  9. DMom says:

    “They why doesn’t Rudy?”

He has not opened up his mouth as much as McCain first of all and second of all I do no think he is as popular on the west coast so not everyone knows his views or opinions. Third, we were all lied too, so when Rudy supported he was doing so because the president was minipulating all of us.

  10. kelso says:

McCain is rotting political fruit. He spoiled back in 2000. Right now the republicans are running a dream team of losers for ‘08. Why even bother to run a candidate at all when Bush has wrecked his party for at least the next 4 years or more?

  12. Roger_Roger says:

McCain suffers for being a loser. Him and Hilary should just come out and admit to their affair already. They are 2 pea’s in a pod. They are the 2 biggest’s liers in Washington. They maybe don’t realize iyt because they are too busy playing grab ass with each other.

  13. DMom says:

Roger_Roger…. were are you getting your information? Is there a site you can direct me too? I would love to see McCain grab Hilary’s ass, is it documented?

  14. Parrotlover77 says:

    So the question is…

Is McCain stupid or is the right planning another 9/11 to happen in early ‘08 to shift the country back to the right, like what happened to W in ‘01 (remember that like 90% approval rating?)…

Sorta like the convenient terrorist standoff around Carter vs Reagan….

  15. RUCerious says:

Gunga_Dung suffers from being linguistically challenged.
Him and his grammar should just put themselves out of their lingual misery and admit to it’s fourth grade syntax. His tense results from playing grabass with his nouns and stuff.

    seth,

Patrick1 and I have the same exact question.

    If:

    “McCain suffers for supporting war.”

    Then:

    “Then why doesn’t Rudy?”

I don’t think any one is seriouse about Rudy, they are just entertaining him cause they do not have any other plyable canidates…. Besides his personal life is more fun to talk about then the real issues….

  20. Spudge_Boy says:

    DMom,

Rudy has opened up his mouth on Iraq. He wants us there as long as PNAC wants us there. He is bought and paid for, just like McCain. He just isn’t catching the flack, yet. He just got in, where McCain was planning on running in ‘08 a very long tie ago.

  21. DMom says:

    Spudge_Boy,

I agree he is bought and paid for, and his personal life makes everyone cringe so I do not think that he will ever get the votes. If he keeps making statements that he wants us to stay in Iraq, it will seal his fate.
Maybe we need to focus on Rudy more so we can discredit him too, if we could just get McCain to shut up!
Or Maybe Rudy is playing it smart, staying quite and letting McCain put his foot in his mouth, so he can slip in.

  22. paland says:

If Hillary wins, I don’t think it would be good for the Dems. Those of us in the other partys (Green, L&O, Ind) will probably take a pass on her. I don’t plan on voting Republican but I won’t vote for Hillary either. You Dems better get Obama or Gore in there. Then you will get our vote (bigtime).

    Ding ding ding ding ding.

We have a winner folks. Bill tell DMom what she has won.

Well Steve, it’s an all expense paid trip to the next thread up.

    (This one is too easy)

  24. Spudge_Boy says:

    We have another winner!

Hillary supports this war way too much. She is part of the Carlyle group and makes a lot of money off of its continuation.

  25. Shawn says:

    Lieberman paying attention?
Where is Connecticut? Put your man back in line.

Not voting for one helps the opposition… So you coveted centrists would rather a repug stay in office after the last 8 years.. Whew.. that’s saying a lot. No matter how much you hate Sen. Clinton. Four years ago, I would have supported your abstinece at the polls… But now? That’s just irresponsible…

  27. DMom says:

    Thank you Spudge-boy……. I think?

When do we play the next round, and what can I win… this is fun.

  28. Tobey Tall says:

McCain will never be president we all know that ..watch out for a last minute change from the republicans

Round two is called Take a Swing at Traitor Joe. You can give it a try a few threads up.

  30. Who? says:

If McCain gets the nod, Rudy gets the veep spot. This gives him national cred for the Pres spot the following term.

  31. SKdeA says:

Of course they would both lose, faster together than individually.

I lost all respect for McCain when he wouldn’t call the Repugs on their “Black Baby” smear. How do you think his daughter feels?

  32. Raymond Funamoto says:

Well, you pasty-faced, flip-flopping schizoid psychopath McPAIN, if you dance with the repugnant-repub rightwingnut religious right cranks and nuts, i.e., THE DEVIL, “IF YOU DANCE WITH THE DEVIL, YOU MUST PAY THE PRICE”–To KISS your 2008 presidential hopes and YOUR ASS, GOOD-BYE!!!!! HAH HAH HAH!!!!!
