YouTube announced today that it will create a user-friendly hub for the 2008 presidential candidates to post their web videos. Former Sen. John Edwards (D-NC) was asked about the impact of YouTube on the ‘08 race (and about this notorious video of Edwards fixing his hair) by WNYC Radio’s Brian Lehrer.

who cares? who hasn't been vain at one time or the other. besides, running for office I'm sure is reason enough for making a good impression.

I like Edwards as he walks the talk and has been busy the past four years trying to better himself and those whom need help. Funnt Rape-Public-Cans beef with him is he is wealthy and lives in a large house while thats their fervent ambition.

My concern is the best candidate with integrity and skill will not get the money to win like the Corporate Wh*re Hillary.

At least Edwards didn't slather his comb in spit and run it through his oily unwashed coiffure, ala Paul Wolfowitz!

    Huuuuuuurlll!.......

    Your Conscience,

Yah Hillary scares me as much as Bush, even more so because she could damage the progressive movement much like bush & the last congress has ruined the Republican movement. I really like Obama, sadly America is too racist for a black president, and I would fear for his life. I know TP is a big supporter of her, but if she runs again it will be an election I won't vote in again. I'm 40 and I disliked Bush so much I registered just to vote against him.

What's saddest about all of this, is someone has to pay off the 3-49 trillion dollar debt we have *who really knows, but it's BAD*, it will be the Democrats as the only ones with courage to raise any taxes to pay it off. We know republicans have no courage.

It's better than watching that wierdo Wolfowitz lick his comb and comb that disgusting rats nest of his. Republican fcukheads could do with a little vanity - or self respect. Either would be a welcome change!

Seems I also remember one of Wolfies aides licking his fingers and then patting down a cowlick Wolfie was sporting.

consider the idea of all politicians running the majority of their campaigns on the web. the cost would be substantially less than television, thereby eliminating the need to raise millions of dollars from special interest groups. it's not about black or white, man or woman, or hispanic *Bill Richardson." It's about having someone with the EXPERIENCE.

In America presidential candidates are either ugly as sin or guys who love their hair > lol.

Wow, cool! my station's video is on one of my favorite bloggs. You didnt show the part of last nights broadcast when brian was "caught" on the cut-away from showing the notorious video while he checked his "hair". it was pretty funny. Edwards is taking the vaccine of owning up to his less attractive moments early enough to make them useless for the right wing Charactor assassins.Good for him. Wish Dean had said "Yeeha" in 2003.

  13. Dan Thorne Says:

That is the best bit of substance I have heard from Edwards ever. It should be noted that he did say "it is good for democracy (free speach) except in very very rare circumstances." Other politicans, bloggers and media folks should take this as their queue. Stay positive and resist negative personal attacks.

That was a good segment and I'm lean to the right.

  14. Damon Says:

I've seen video of Bush and Cheney having their make-up done before a press meeting and it looks about the same. Alot of time is spent making them look good. This is actually very normal I think.
