The research is said to be the first to attempt to measure the “Iraq effect” on global terrorism. It found that the number killed in jihadist attacks around the world has risen dramatically since the Iraq war began in March 2003. The study compared the period between 11 September 2001 and the invasion of Iraq with the period since the invasion. The count – excluding the Arab-Israel conflict – shows the number of deaths due to terrorism rose from 729 to 5,420. As well as strikes in Europe, attacks have also increased in Chechnya and Kashmir since the invasion. The research was carried out by the Centre on Law and Security at the NYU Foundation for Mother Jones magazine.

A distinction is easily made between a bombing and an attack with a minimum of thought. A “bombing” is an attack that USES BOMBS. An “attack” is a much more general term and could be a bombing, but it could also be a shooting, stabbing, beating, or something else other than a bombing.
In your desire to prove someone else wrong, be careful not to get it wrong yourself.

I never said strapping a bomb is not an attack. Let me explain this another way that maybe you can understand. All dogs are mammals…not all mammals are dogs. So the same can be said in all bombings are attacks…not all attacks are bombings.

Actually, most bombings in Iraq are roadside bombs, which are inherently more effective than suicide bombs because they don’t require the death of the bomber.
And btw, on February 28th “Police said at least four roadside bombs exploded south of Baghdad, killing two people in separate blasts.”

As for having 4 on the 28th, did you take into account days when there are none. Maybe I can explain this for you to understand. If one day there are four and then none for three days in a row…the average is one.

I don’t know what her intent was…but given what she actually said and actually using commons sense I can come to a much more plausible conclusion. Pretty simple, she said bombings not attacks.
