Walter Reed’s inequality.

The vermin-infested Building 18, which houses military outpatients.

VERSUS

The “stately homes” of Walter Reed Commander George W. Weightman and top Army medical officer Kevin C. Kiley, who knew for years about outpatient neglect at the military hospital. Their homes are right across the street from Building 18.

What do you expect from an Administration that has no problems with torture?

  3. Raven says:

How about giving Rumpsfelt a mop and bucket and make him earn the money he’s being paid……..

  5. Thrasher says:

I heard KKKarl Rove had some concerns about work available for his son, here’s meaningful employment for him cleaning up one of daddy’s messes… and how ’bout them busch girls, eh?

  6. angryvietnamvet says:

I say move the big shots out of their mansions and let them live in Building 18 if they want to keep their jobs.

Turn the mansions into luxury recreation areas for the wounded vets.

  7. PrisonerInAmerika says:

So much more of this to come, can’t wait till the economy tanks this year. (you know how easy it is to control), then they can blame the Dem’s! And we’re right back where we started in 2000.

    Investigate

    Impeach

And put them in a stockade so I can personally defecate on them!

  8. po says:

Who supports the troops exactly? Those who send them to fight for corporate profits and childlike fantasy or those of us who are outraged that this can actually be happening in the fog of ’support our troops’ BS? I can’t fathom my fellow countrymens’ thinking any more and I can’t figure out why no one is calling anyone to task. What happened to the change everyone said we voted for.

  9. hacker bob says:

two heads on a platter please.

    Deliver them to Bldg. 18

  10. Wayne says:

Weightman and Kiley need to be stripped of rank, sent to iraq and the unit they get sent to needs to be told exactly who they are. Lets see how long they would last.
    I would bet 48 hours

    Freakin’ Idjits!
How the hell do they (Weightman and Kiley) even sleep at night?
    Freakin’ Idjits!!!

  12. bs says:

this is absolutely obsurd. there is no f. excuse for such neglect. not only do they let them rot with the very insects that would love to feed on them but to then degrade their manhood, gi status is maddening. folks, this has been going on for years, vietnam vets are still fighting for their rightful medical needs. the first gulf really hammered it home with vets coming back with toxins in their body not to mention the 3 eyed babies. sad, i know. what is even sadder is that the government never has or will give a shit. they just act like they give a shit now cuz they got caught since bushwhack sent whole goddamn military to war. so the influx is what is bringing it to the open. f. all these bustards.

  13. Raymond Funamoto says:

As the LATE GREAT Marlene Dietrich observed in Sir Alfred Hitchcock’s STAGE FRIGHT(tm): “What VERMIN some VERMIN are…” Those repugnant-repub rightwingnut cranks who slither along like maggots, and those with deformed porcine trotters like Karl Miss Piggy Rove, or “Goat of Mendes” hooves like Torticola Cheney and CHIMPya!!!!!

This is really going to hurt the war on terra.

See, the threat of bureaucratic nightmares and nasty conditions for wounded troops is a strong motivator to do the job right.

We should not pander to nice guy liberulz and take away that support and motivation. That would cause an increase in accidents and woundings.

I say we rent a U-Haul and switch residences for the big-wigs and patients. Hire a couple big frat boys to help, how long could it take?

War Resisters — Support the Troops Who Refuse to Fight

The Army has re-filed charges against Lt. Ehren Watada, the first commissioned officer to refuse deployment to Iraq, following mistrial. Find out the latest developments in his case and how you can help.

It takes courage to say that you will not fight — especially if you are a soldier. As more members of the U.S. military step forward for peace, the peace movement must step forward to support them.

Large numbers are now refusing to serve: The Department of Defense estimates that there are about 8,000 AWOL service members. The GI Rights Hotline http://www.girights.objector.org/

(800-394-9544) is currently receiving about 3,000 calls a month.

    The Occupation Project

THE OCCUPATION PROJECT is a new effort initiated by UFPJ member organization Voices for Creative Nonviolence. The plan is to unfold a campaign of sustained nonviolent civil disobedience aimed at ending the U.S. war in and occupation of Iraq. The campaign begins with occupations at the offices of Representatives and Senators who refuse to pledge to vote against additional war funding.

Several UFPJ member groups, including CodePink, Peace Action, Veterans for Peace, After Downing Street, and a host of local groups from North Carolina to Alaska are all involved in this effort. United for Peace and Justice, as a national coalition, has also endorsed The Occupation Project.

Your group can find out more about this initiative, including how you can get involved, by visiting their website. Or you can contact the organizers via phone at 773-878-3815 or via email, occupationproject at vcnv.org
