“In a lot of places, women have formed cabals to terrorize the men because they take advantage of, ‘Oh, we’re downtrodden. You’re kicking us in the teeth.’ … So, all of this whining about American women — ‘We don’t have this; we don’t have that’ — to me, I’m not real sympathetic. But I am a barbarian.“
Tis sad to watch a once great nation circle the drain.
Apparently in Republican World Ann Coulter and Rush Limbaugh will be looked to as great leaders.

March 2nd, 2007 at 9:44 pmNo Bill, you are an idiot.
March 2nd, 2007 at 9:48 pmShut up, Bill. Just shut up.
March 2nd, 2007 at 9:53 pmOh this is gooooodddd
Bill tell us about how you use that loofah in the shower to please your woman and she’s never satisfied, or how you brag about that loofah to the woman you are trying to have phone sex with, and how they just won’t agree.
Bill is a predator as witnessed by the lawsuit brought against him by one of his employees.
March 2nd, 2007 at 9:55 pmBarbarian Bill needs a loofah to get his women off
“phone sex, vibrators, threesomes, masturbation”

What an idiot. What kind of idiot watches this guy?
March 2nd, 2007 at 10:00 pmLooks like Bill O’ Loofah has now become totally unhinged… Too many falafels maybe?
March 2nd, 2007 at 10:05 pmYes, Bill O’Really’s idea of women ‘terrorizing’ him is that they wouldn’t allow him to sexually harass them. I’m guessing he made advances on someone, was rejected and was threatened with a sexual harassment lawsuit. Not only am I guessing this is what happened, but that it happened multiple times. And that his female coworkers got together to support each other and protect each other from his advances.
Bill should realize that its wrong to objectify women. That is what porn is for.
March 2nd, 2007 at 10:20 pmBill is a classic predator. One of his moves is to try to de-sensitize his prospective victims by repeatedly calling and telling them that phone sex with him is perfectly normal and healthy.
“Defendant Bill O‘Reilly said to plaintiff Andrea Mackris, ‘Just use your vibrator to blow off steam.‘ When Plaintiff reddened, defendant Bill O‘Reilly asked lewdly: “What, you‘ve got a vibrator, don‘t you? Every girl does. … the complaint is replete with these kinds of allegations that O‘Reilly tormented her on a regular basis with discussion of phone sex, of particular graphic sexual acts that he wanted to engage in with her, including a shower in the Caribbean with a loofah, with a falafel. I can‘t even explain that one. ”
http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/6254449/
March 2nd, 2007 at 10:30 pmBill O’ Loofah does not understand that he is actually repugnant to most women. Just look at the guy! No normal female would want to get into bed with that thing! O’ Falafel needs to pay for it, and dearly!

Yep… he is simply mad because a woman did it to him, and now a book is coming out telling all about it.
So off he goes with the spin.
Maybe he thinks its a “no spin” zone, because he spins it in a complete 360, and just sees the same side he began with. Is that a bad analogy?
Oh…. and a while back someone called me a “doof” for my comments about the children and their horrible teeth: I just want to say I LOVE that name. It is insulting AND cute sounding at the same time! I plan on using it myself. :)

You do realize the Democratic party is not Marxist, do you not? They have never advocated any Marxist platform.
And I don’t know about freedom of speech being squelched … can you quote me an example from the communist manifesto? Or anything from the writings of Marx or Engel?
March 2nd, 2007 at 11:21 pmAshenShard,
March 2nd, 2007 at 11:21 pmI answered your question.
Marxism is a totalitarian ideology to surpress the individual spirit of man.
The Radical left and Radical Right are both totalitarians who support feudalism.
It must be sick f*ck night on TP.

March 2nd, 2007 at 11:29 pm#37 Rodan
In pure Marxism the government does not control the means of production, the workers do. In short, it is a pure democracy.
And you do not seem to understand Feudalism either. Feudalism was when the head noble, King you may say, gave out land to other nobles who then served him. It is a very complex system, which I doubt you have the capability to understand.
March 2nd, 2007 at 11:30 pmAshenShard,
Feudalism was an oppressive system where people were forced to give their crops to Nobles overlords in return for protection. In reality this ended up being Totalitarian since the land belonged to the Nobles not the peassants.
Like communism.
“In pure Marxism the government does not control the means of production, the workers do.”

Because of the policies of this president is that large corporations have all the control. Large corporations wipe out small business. I believe in capitalism, but I also believe in morals. You still haven’t answered my questions regarding how this administration has made this country better?
March 2nd, 2007 at 11:41 pmRodan. Bush said these words. They are on the record (2005). The Constitution is just a Goddamned peice of paper. Just a Goddamned peice a paper! Is that what our soldiers died for?… Is that what the fouders of this country died for?… You ASS HAT!

Rodan how do you feel about Ron Paul?
March 2nd, 2007 at 11:46 pm#41 Rodan
You see, you don’t understand. Stalin was not a Marxist because he did not follow the teachings of Marx. Neither did Lenin, but Lenin moreso than Stalin. Thats why we label it Stalinism. Just because it called communist or Marxist does not mean it is communist or Marxist. Same as a country calling itself a democracy, which we often do, but we are actually a Republic. Oh, and let me also give you the example of the People’s Republic of China. That isn’t communist either, only calls itself communist.
I suggest your read the communist manifesto. and while you are at it read some Trotsky since he followed the teachings of Marx more closely, i believe, and Stalin had him killed for it (more complicated than that, but not going to get into it here).
Also, regarding feudalism, one could argue that we are heading towards a sort of corporate feudalism. I say this because small businesses are becoming rare, while stores such as walmart dominate society. Eventually there will only be walmarts and the vast majority of us will be working for them and dependent on them for our needs. Technically they will be dictating our lives to us. I should develop that thought further, but would likely take a bit more space here than people would appreciate.

Your no progressive. You deserve Hillary you piece of sh|t!
March 2nd, 2007 at 11:49 pmIt’s amazing how many people think of Bush as a blundering idiot who doesn’t know two plus two and can’t make a single reasonable argument about anything!
What the heck?
Why can’t you guys see that he’s a genuinely good man who cares deeply for this nation’s (USA) welfare (which includes our allies) and for the welfare of the rest of the world?
Everything seems to be Bush’s fault when the Left gets a hold of it, but you don’t seem to realize that he has a lot less power than everyone seems to think he does.
Lemme be frank, here:
If I had a choice of hanging out with President Bush, dv_iii, or no one at all, I’d most definitely choose the President (no one at all would have been my second choice).
If I were to pick one thing he could do better, it would have to be his assertiveness to the American public and to the world.
Can you imagine what kind of situation we’d be in if John Kerry were president? Holy crap. Okay? Holy. Crap.
We’d be so Leftified, we would have had so many more successful terrorist attacks within our borders, it isn’t remotely funny. Uh-huh. That’s right. Bush’s system WORKS. It’s already prevented between five and fifteen attacks since it was implemented, but you’re not gonna see that on CNN, now are you?
*Sigh*
To make a long answer short, the President is a great man doing a great job (I am horrified to think what would have happened if I had been elected).
If you don’t agree with that, at least level with me here: he IS the lesser of two evils.
I think we are lucky to have him. He is honest. He has made some decisions that have been relentlessly ‘demonized’ by the leftist media. But taking on Saddam in post 9/11 era is just about the only thing an American president could do under the circumstances and is totally justified.
Saddam continued to play games with WMD inspectors right up to the invasion. He was told TIME AFTER TIME, cooperate with inspections or we will invade. Bush got approval of congress. The UN was ‘divided’ (turns out the French and Russian vetoes were because they didn’t want anyone to discover what they were doing with Saddam and oil for food).
Saddam defied this international mandate for inspections and continued to play games with the inspectors. We had to choose to allow him to continue WMD development or PHYSICALLY stop him. (Saying please doesn’t work with these dictator types.)
The US is NOT going to allow a petty and murderous dictator (hundreds of thousands tortured and killed by him) aquire WMDs that might fall into the hands of terrorists. Please don’t tell me about civillian Iraqi deaths in this war. The numbers do not come close to Saddams abuses - and MOST of the Iraqi dead were in fact Saddams army and other thugs, as well as latter day aremed Jihadists.
Luckily we stopped Saddam BEFORE he developed new weapons (he had already gassed the Kurds, so WMDs are a GIVEN). He DID have NEW programs in progress to develop them. He DID have ties to terrorist groups and there WERE terrorist training grounds in Iraq.
The invasion of Iraq is justified just on human rights grounds alone. If it was not justified, the Balkan invasion by the EU wasn’t either. Are you people saying that we should look the other way whenever ANY dictator wants to abuse his people - regardless of the scope and scale of the slaughter? What happened to you ‘liberals’?
In the case of Saddam we had 4 primary causes:
Massive human rights violations
Prior pattern of invading Neutral neighbors
Terrorist training camps and money support
Relentless pattern of WMD research and hiding from inspectors.
The authorization allowing war from Congress did not say there was a ‘certainty’ of finding a WMD. It mentioned many grievances.
If 9/11 had occured with a nuke instead of mere airplanes we would have seen 2,000,000 dead instead of 2,000. There would have been NO ONE coming down the stairs before the collapse. No time to evacuate. Instant devastation for about 1 mile diameter around WTC.
Those in the UK too should realize, that if the Jihadists could have their way, it would not have been small bombs on your trains, but weapons of a much more potent variety.
Does anyone get the difference? Does anyone not understand that the cost of this war might be much less than the cost of NOT having this war?
I don’t understand the hatred towards Bush - the reasons people give for hating George Bush are absurd. For the most part they hate him for things that are not true, or things over which the president has no control.
Most commonly, they say they hate him because he lied. Ha!! If lying were such a big deal to them, they would have hated Bill Clinton to the end of the Earth. But no… they loooooove Bill Clinton. And as much as they talk about President Bush lying, they cannot come up with a single lie that he has told.
As their prime example of a Bush lie, the wanna-believers refer to the president’s state of the union address in 2003. They repeat what the press reported numerous times:
“Saddam Hussein recently sought significant quantities of uranium from Africa.”
There are two problems with that example. First, it is not a lie; and second, that is not what the president said. What the president actually said was:
“The British government has learned that Saddam Hussein recently sought significant quantities of uranium from Africa.”
No matter; the Democrats believe that George Bush lied.
There are dozens of web sites touting Bush lies. Heck, there is even a book about the Bush lies. So you’d think that somebody would be able to document just one lie he told, wouldn’t you?
But nope; not one. What does that tell you?
Of course, it is not the alleged lie that bothers them. Their hatred is irrational. They use the alleged lie merely as a basis for their hate, albeit a false basis. Lies do not really matter to those who lead with their feelings; neither do facts. But it does make them FEEL better about their hatred.
Bush is alright. It’s Tony Blair y’all should be complaining about!

I have a few female friends who were prescribed birth control for other painful conditions. Obviously birth control has more applications than its name indicates.
I do not think, however, that people like O’Reilly could even understand, much less care, that birth control is used to treat different conditions. He seems to be incapable of understanding that women, like men, are also human. I think he puts them on the level of a pet dog who you can train to do what you want and punish when they do not behave according to your wishes.

Vote third party. Its a long shot but at least you get to put on record your dissatisfaction with the ruling parties. And if enough people like you, who did not vote, got up and voted for third parties, hey, maybe we could change the bi-party system in this country into at least a tri-party system.
by the way, I am an independent, I only support the democrats at the national level at the moment since i think the republicans are incompetent and have greatly damaged this country. Ironically, I tend to vote Libertarian though I now identify myself as a socialist.

Actually, Batman, war has never been popular with the people and it is not the preferred method of spreading Democracy. The plan was bad from the get go, even George Sr. and Brent Scowcroft realized that to go into Baghdad would prove to be a disaster, it was a bad idea then, just as it is now. People on the left and right, even such pro-war fellows for foreign policy, such as Beinart, are waking up to that reality.

Actually I hoped the Iraqi people would have stood up and grasped Democracy. I do not think war is ever good nor am I grateful that it helps the Democratic party.
If it does help the Democratic party it won’t be because of chaos and the ‘brave’, as you say, Jihadists but because of the incompetence and corruption, of the current administration. George is creating more Democrats, not the war.

I’ve always found it disconcerting that the same party that claims to be the representative of the moral Christian right is at the same time beholden to profit. Profit at any cost is in itself immoral. The vast majority of Republicans, however, treat profit as almost an idol that, when questioned by people concerned about injustices, becomes a rallying point which they use to attack the left, crying that we have attempted to tarnish their idol.

March 3rd, 2007 at 12:32 ami’m not that Rightwing neocon Fascist Rodan. I’m a loyal Democrat and a Hillary Clinton supporter. that’s why I’m happy at the deaths in Iraq. You are too, admit it. You cheer at the deaths of American troops! It’s an excuse to bitch and complain! It helps our side politically by demoralizing the public. We need this conflict to continue until Nov of 2008!
I hope more Americans die in Iraq so it benefits our party!
March 3rd, 2007 at 12:33 amRodan, you really are an immature irresponsible excuse for a human being. I suppose all the gifts at christmas have your name on them. You inconsiderate JACK ASS! ME ME ME MINE MINE MINE. I bet you got your mother a picture of yourself for mothers day. Only she spent the rest of the day thanking God you weren’t next to a soldier in Iraq. Now go eat your supper before it gets cold. I don’t want you to BUS-A-LIP… ALABAMA MAN!

C’mon. Two terms. Cannot be that hard.

It all depends on your point of view. From the point of view of the uber rich, Bush has done more that all the previous presidents combined. He has repealed the estate tax, meaning they are free to create dynasties and stay in power in perpetuity.
He has increased the profits of the War Profiteers beyond their wildest dreams. The same goes for Oil Companies. His bankrupting the national treasury and off-budget War Borrowing have guarenteed that social programs will be gutted, further inhibiting any movement upward from the lower castes.
His No Child Left Behind act guarentees that public schools will be subsumed by the Federal Government and eviscerated, leading to the passage of vouchers which will inure to the benefit of the uber rich.
He has overseen the greatest transfer of wealth from the masses to the ruling class in the history of the world.
He has advanced American Imperialism in a manner not seen since “manifest destiny” gripped the Nation in the 1800’s.
Some people see all of the above as being “good for America.”
Why do you think the instant the Democratic Party won the November Election, Impeachment was taken off the table?

I missed it when it showed at the Alamo Drafthouse in Austin. =P
March 3rd, 2007 at 12:45 amHopefully they will show it again. Alamo DH is good about picking up alot of independant films.
NeoCons are phony conservatives. They don’t believe in the constitution. They believe in “order out of chaos”. They believe in the abolition of US sovereignty. They believe that the United Nations is the vehicle for world governance. Please read Leo Strauss the father of Neo-Conservatism.
I see executive orders passed during the Bush and Clinton administrations as such:
Executive Order Number and Meaning:
10900 - Allows the government to take control over all modes of transportation, highways, and seaports.
10995 - Allows the government to seize and control the communication media.
10997 - Allows the government to take over all electrical power, gas, petroleum, fuels, and minerals.
10998 - Allows the government to take over all food resources and farms.
11000 - Allows the government to mobilize civilians into work brigades under government supervision.
11001 - Allows the government to take over all health, education, and welfare functions.
11002 - Designates the Postmaster General to operate national registration of all persons.
11003 - Allows the government to take over all airports and aircraft, including commercial aircraft.
11004 - Allows the Housing and Finance Authority to relocate communities, build new housing with public funds, designate areas to be abandoned, and establish new locations for populations.
11005 - Allows the government to take over railroads, inland waterways, and public storage facilities.
11051 - Specifies the responsibility of the Office of Emergency Planning and gives authorization to put all Executive Orders into effect in times of increased international tensions and economic or financial crisis.
11310 - Grants authority to the Department of Justice to enforce the plans set out in Executive Orders, to institute industrial support, to establish judicial and legislative liaison, to control all aliens, to operate penal and correctional institutions, and to advise and assist the President.
11049 - Assigns emergency preparedness function to federal departments and agencies, consolidating 21 operative Executive Orders issued over a fifteen year period.
11921 - Allows the Federal Emergency Preparedness Agency to develop plans to establish control over the mechanisms of production and distribution, of energy sources, wages, salaries, credit and flow of money in the U.S.A. financial institution in any undefined national emergency. It also provides that when a state of emergency is declared by the President, Congress cannot review the action for six months.
I become a little fu@king concerned.

I think that is one of the things that bothers me the most.
The ONLY thing that will fix things and prove the government has not gone rogue is for them to enforce Rule of Law, and impeach, then prosecute the band of crooks in Washington.

Because they want to get legislation done, and don’t want a replacement president in the position to run in 2008, and because they knew that there wasn’t enough JOmentum to back them up for an impeachment?
Become a realist - they’re choosing the best options forward in an imperfect world. Rune it if you must - face the truth.
March 3rd, 2007 at 1:47 amI watch the MSM…I get pissed off. Because no one ask’s the question to anyone. And when they do ask the good question, they let them answer with something that nothing to do with what they asked. They insult me… I would rather get my news of the web, read from different sites and make up my own mind. I won’t let anyone from Fox or Cnn Msnbc except for maybe Keith tell me what to think. And before you get your panties in-a-bunch trolls, I listen to him, because the guy actually knows something about sports.

I can think of another Bill that used to do similar things. Sexually harass women, objectify women, sleep with interns…….
But that was nobodies business, was it? Infact, there was little outrage about that. Everyone tried to discredit the women, I recall.
Some kind of a double standard thing here.

March 3rd, 2007 at 9:02 amThe ranting of all the trolls gave me pause to ponder; what if they were really just one person, the one who lives at 1600 Penn. Ave. After all, who else would be hurt by the truth? Who else would have more to gain? Who else would like for this craziness in our country to continue?
Batman, go see a Doctor, you need help. If you think your posts are funny, you’re sick; if not, then I suggest you are a traitor; a spy sent to our country with a mission to create CHAOS. No real American who SUPPORTS OUR TROOPS would say such a thing, even in jest.
Perhaps my suggestion should be heeded by the other Trolls as well as their rantings do nothing to heal the wounds our country is experiencing during this period. As a Viet Nam Veteran, no I was never In-Country, but I did serve, I thought that Era would be the destruction of our country, boy was I wrong.
I pray, that’s right I’m an Independent Christian, every night for the troops and our country. We, all of us, have to come together to work to heal this country, you know the one WE ALL CLAIM AS THE BEST. Put aside your petty bickering and do the right thing. Vote for people you think will do the right thing for everyone. Hold accountable all politicians as THEY WORK FOR US. Demand fairness, justice for everyone for if we don’t we all lose.
I FEAR IT’S NOT TOO LATE!!!!

First, as far as getting any legislation done, Congress can move incredibly fast, when it want’s to. Remember the Schivo fiasco?
Next, Republicans came out of the gate filibustering: ethics reform, minimum wage, Iraq debate… In fact, as has been seen in various articles here, the Republican strategy for the next two years is to block everything in the Senate.
Finally, the message from the Universe is Eolh: Protection. What is the truth expressed in this? Whose interests are being protected?

His affairs were consensual. That’s not a double standard. A double standard is when you expect others to pay taxes, but then, in neocon fashion, don’t pay your own or get Congress to refund it to you.
You desperately need to take a course on logic. You can’t even state a basic “apples to apples” analogy.

To: Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice
cc: Chairs of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee and House Committee on International Relations
We, the undersigned, vehemently oppose any U.S. military action against Iran. Such military action would inevitably kill large numbers of innocent people, foster even more hatred and international condemnation of the U.S., and dramatically increase the instability of the region. Our own intelligence agencies have concluded the Iraq war has worsened the terrorist threat, and a war against Iran would add immeasurably more fuel to the fire.
Even if Iran decided to build a nuclear weapon, experts agree that it would take several years. There is no crisis, and our government should not create one with inflammatory rhetoric or military threats. The U.S. has both the time and obligation to work with the international community to fashion a diplomatic resolution to the situation, and the current refusal of U.S. officials to talk directly with Iranian officials cannot possibly help resolve the nuclear standoff, nor contribute to peace in Iraq and the Middle East.
Therefore, we urge you to take all steps necessary to reach a peaceful resolution to the current situation, including direct negotiations without pre-conditions. This is the only way to prevent yet another war, one that would be a calamity of truly global proportions.
———————————————————————–
No War with Iran!
President Bush is now regularly accusing Iran of supporting attacks on U.S. troops, without any evidence, - remember the WMD’s in Iraq, anyone? - adding that “we will seek out and destroy” these networks. Bush has authorized U.S. forces to kill Iranian “operatives” in Iraq, and he is sending nuclear aircraft carriers and missile defense batteries to the Persian Gulf. The unthinkable - a wider war in the Middle East - is unfolding.
John D. Rockefeller IV, D-W.Va., chairman of the Senate Intelligence Committee, said that any U.S. military move into Iran would be “catastrophically stupid” and “unleash a conflagration like we’ve never heard of before.” We could not possibly agree more.
Resistance to a Bush planned military strike on Iran is growing in Congress, but it needs your help! Sign the petition to Congress below - No War with Iran! House Speaker Nancy Pelosi said recently that she would introduce legislation to stop such a strike, so our demand is beginning to get through. But the pressure needs to be much, much stronger to stop a President who has apparently gone mad with war and his own power.
Please know that your email address is for internal purposes only; we will not send it to the petition recipients nor share it with any other organization for any purpose. Thanks also for forwarding this to your friends, colleagues and listserves. We need everyone who wants to bring peace to the Middle East and prevent a war with Iran to join the effort now!
