Criminally- indicted ex-Rep. Tom DeLay (R-TX) attracted a “Justin Timberlake-style mob” last weekend at CPAC, the Politico reports. “Eyewitnesses tell us that when the former House majority leader entered the room, ‘he was swarmed more than Mitt Romney was. He couldn’t even get past his booth; the line was out the door at the exhibit hall.’ Meanwhile, eager college students flocked to the one-time rainmaker, salivating for autographs.”
It would figure that the same element who sucked up Coulter’s fecal swill would swoon at the criminality of DeLiar
March 6th, 2007 at 2:12 pmIck.
March 6th, 2007 at 2:13 pmThere rwally is something missing from the rethug soul isn’t it
March 6th, 2007 at 2:18 pmCan I ask a question? Why was he not locked away?
March 6th, 2007 at 2:18 pmIck is right. Right wing freak show.
March 6th, 2007 at 2:19 pmLooks like the Republic Youth are eager to maintain minority party status for years to come.

March 6th, 2007 at 2:19 pmcpac loves them some repub criminals
March 6th, 2007 at 2:22 pmWonder how long before DeLay figures out he can always sell autographs to his more fervent apologists & lackeys, just like OJ does
March 6th, 2007 at 2:23 pm#8 – how do you think he’s paying his bills right now??
March 6th, 2007 at 2:26 pmLike flies on a pile of shit…
March 6th, 2007 at 2:26 pmEven Jeff Dahmer had a fan base…probably the same folks.
March 6th, 2007 at 2:29 pmWe are witnessing some sort of mass suicide in the making here…
March 6th, 2007 at 2:29 pmMaybe all these people were having major problems with termites and were looking for a bargain on exterminating services. That’s really Delay’s only skill.
March 6th, 2007 at 2:32 pmIt’s truly scary that we on the left favor gun control and these loons don’t.
March 6th, 2007 at 2:35 pmFunny but when Democrats get convicted of major crimes they usually retire into obscurity, for the Republics it appears to be like a mobster getting his prison chops. They come back more respected than ever.

March 6th, 2007 at 2:35 pm#19 – I have to disagree AYTRWS, DeLay is a crook’s crook and crime is his real forte. He’s to exterminating what Tony Soprano is to waste management.
March 6th, 2007 at 2:37 pmOne attendee had DeLay sign his John Wayne Gacy drawing.
March 6th, 2007 at 2:37 pmThis is quite peculiar, I mean, they screwed many a Christian Conservative out of their hard earned money, and called them wackos, yet they still line up like sheep to a shearing.
March 6th, 2007 at 2:39 pmWho’d thunk it? The culture of corruption has a fan club.
March 6th, 2007 at 2:44 pmHow much did he pay them?
March 6th, 2007 at 2:46 pmI smell irrelevancy. Phew!
March 6th, 2007 at 2:51 pmWhat a role model…
…huh?
March 6th, 2007 at 2:54 pmWhat College has students that would “eagerly salivate” for the autograph of Tom “the bug man” Delay?
Who’s kids are those and why are they all wearing plaid polyester pants?
I do not believe it.
March 6th, 2007 at 2:58 pmmparker
Think about it this way, the best symbols the Republican youth have to represent them are Britney Spears and Paris Hilton.
They are a severely screwed up bunch of kids.
March 6th, 2007 at 3:05 pmWhat College has students that would “eagerly salivate†for the autograph of Tom “the bug man†Delay?
Seeing as there are no trolls posting on this thread it must be them.

Since you put it that way…
March 6th, 2007 at 3:10 pmToday’s “overly full of themselves” youth, are attracted to guys like Delay.
March 6th, 2007 at 3:11 pmIt’s no wonder Tom Delay thinks he’s Jesus…
March 6th, 2007 at 3:19 pmI can tell you that Texas Progressives were not in the crowd. We are just thankful that he no longer lives in Texas. Texas’ number indicted for felonies = X – 1. Virginia’s number indicted for felonies = Y + 1!
March 6th, 2007 at 3:20 pmUh, no.
Justin Timberlake makes me drool with desire.
Tom Delay makes me vomit in repulsion.
March 6th, 2007 at 3:31 pmCould it be his fabulous hair ?
March 6th, 2007 at 3:33 pmI wonder what it is like to stand in the middle of a swarm of lemmings?
March 6th, 2007 at 3:35 pmSeriously concerned about the youth of this country….
March 6th, 2007 at 3:41 pmSomehow DeLiar reminds me of the farmer/cockroach in Men in Black.
March 6th, 2007 at 3:48 pmProbably the whole pest control deal, or maybe Tommy really is a giant cockroach.
(Apologies to all Blattodea)
Oh boy Zooey. My daughter turned 18 and graduated high school not to long ago. She is an honors student and got very good grades and a scholarship, but she and her friends have no drive to do anything. None of the young people I meet these days seem like they will do anything important with their lives.
I knew I wanted a job in the technology field at a very early age. I was taking apart all of my toys and my brothers (he hated that). I sold candy bars to get PCs put in my junior hight and got my own first PC at 13. Kids these days aren’t even interested in computers. Both of my daughters have had their own PC since they were very own. They just sit their and collect dust. They aren’t even interested in MySpace or IMing.
But, the youth today seem to want everything given to them. The Entitlement Generation is what I call them. My daughter isn’t a party girl, she is a good kid with a brain to fit her beauty, but she doesn’t feel like doing anything. She quits jobs because she gets bored at work. Her generation thinks that everybody should be a rock star or a movie star or even worse, famous for being famous like Paris Hilton. They think everything is supposed to be exciting all the time like a soap opera and she doesn’t even watch soap operas.
Sorry about the rant, but I am concerned with today’s youth.
March 6th, 2007 at 4:03 pmProof positive that the only thing you learn in college today is how to become a zombiefied lemming.
March 6th, 2007 at 4:06 pmRepublican values in full display.
This is the people for whom Coulter, Limbaugh, Malkin, et al, are role models.
March 6th, 2007 at 4:15 pmSorry about the rant, but I am concerned with today’s youth.

Thanks Spudge, I don’t feel so alone now. Heh.
At this very moment my son is explaining to me on IM why he needs money — again — and I’m a student, too! Thank goodness he has a job, and will pay me back.
Oy.
March 6th, 2007 at 4:18 pm#23What College has students that would “eagerly salivate†for the autograph of Tom “the bug man†Delay?
Oh, oh I got this one….Brigham Young!
March 6th, 2007 at 4:33 pmThese Republicans have no shame.
March 6th, 2007 at 5:07 pmMeanwhile, eager college students flocked to the one-time rainmaker, salivating for autographs.â€
ew.
March 6th, 2007 at 7:44 pm“Salivating for autographs” THAT THEY COULD RE-SELL FOR $50 PER INDEX CARD, DESCRIBED IN AUTOGRAPH AND MEMORABILIA COLLECTORS’ LISTINGS AS “a signature of the most corrupt and heinous, monstrous in-human, dastardly creep and piece of rancid leper-licking garbage and hyena-turd with two stick-legs that even Gila Monsters would turn their snouts up at” GET YER OWN Tom DeLay SIGNATURE, ONLY $50!!!!! THAT IS A COLLECTORS’ ITEM RIGHT UP THERE WITH SIGNATURES OF Ed “Psycho” Gein, Richard “Night Stalker” Ramirez, John Wayne Gacy, Charlie “Helter-Skelter” Manson AND OTHER MURDEROUS AND DETESTABLE SCUM, THOUGH DeLay IS A COWARDLY TWERP THAT DOESN’T HAVE AN IOTA OF THE COURAGE THAT THESE OTHER MURDEROUS BASTARDS HAVE OR HAD–HENCE THE PRICE DIFFERENCE(greater for them) IN THEIR SIGNATURES!!!!!
March 6th, 2007 at 9:38 pmThe thought of college republicans swooning over tom delay makes me want to puke on one of them. Next year they can salivate to get Libby’s autograph like he’s some sort of hero because he’s been convicted of crimes. Well, Libby maybe in country club prison by then.
March 6th, 2007 at 10:30 pmPlease, please, don’t let him show the nipple of Condie!
March 7th, 2007 at 6:17 amIronic. Since besides Dick Cheney he’s probably done more for the Democrats’ electoral success than any other person alive.
March 7th, 2007 at 9:48 amIronic.
