…that every person has the right to live without the threat from nuclear weapons.

There are still over 30,000 nuclear weapons in the world. The US and Russia still have thousands of nuclear weapons, on hair trigger alert—ready to launch in minutes. While the Cold War may have ended, the nuclear threat has not. The only way to ensure that nuclear weapons will never be used – whether purposefully, or accidentally – is global abolition. The U.S. must lead the way to a safer world by taking our weapons off hair trigger alert, halting our research and development of new nuclear weapons and disarming and demilitarizing our warhead stockpile of over 10,000 nuclear warheads. We can reduce the threat to the world posed by nuclear weapons, but we must start by getting serious about getting rid of our own weapons of mass destruction.

…that America has the resources to both protect and provide for its citizens.

As the Pentagon’s budget soars to $400 billion, 17% of American children live in poverty. Basic infrastructure is crumbling, school are using outdated textbooks, and millions of Americans are without basic health insurance.

For what the US will spend on the War in Iraq, 26,701,621 children could have attended a year of Head Start, we could have built 1,815,194 additional housing units for the poor, we could have hired 3,493,706 additional public school teachers for one year, and we could have provided 9,772,998 students four-year scholarships at public universities(source – National Priorities Project). We believe that these are priorities that should come before war.

What we do at Peace Action…

We are the nation’s largest grassroots Peace network, with over 28 state affiliates, and over 100 local chapters. We organize our grassroots network to place pressure on Congress and the Administration through write-in campaigns, internet actions, citizens lobbying and direct action. Through a close relationship with progressive members of Congress, we play a key role in devising strategies to move forward peace legislation, and, as a leading organizing member of United for Peace and Justice and the Win Without War coalition, we lend our expertise and large network to achieving common goals.

Through our Peace Voter awareness campaigns, we inform citizens about their choices for both local and national campaigns, by highlighting different candidates’ stances on issues relating to peace. Our annual Congressional Voter Guide gives credit to those in Congress who voted for a peaceful future, while holding accountable those who voted for larger Pentagon budgets, spending tax dollars on nuclear weapons, and voted for wars of aggression and occupation.

GHW Bush was in on it too, and that is where, when the alliance between the Bush Cabal and the NeoCONs (Likud/David Rockefeller) was solidified.

Another “Swallow,” Chandra Levy, hooked up with Intelliegence Committee member Gary Condit for the purpose of compromising him in order to ensure that he went along with the 9/11 plans. Levy told her parents that she had some “big news” to share with them when she flew home to visit. She was killed days later, before she got the chance to reveal what she knew.

As Chandra Levy was signing off of her computer for the very last time prior to going to “meet someone,” at that very moment, Gary Condit and Dick Cheney were together in Cheney’s office – the perfect alibai.

Remember that it was revealed that AT&T had been conducting illegal warrantless wiretapping on the government’s behalf in the months PRIOR TO 9/11? Was it these taps that picked up the leave phone call with her parents, or Irael’s Mossad? Either way, the results were the same. Remember that in the months preceding 9/11, the ABLE DANGER intelliegence program was shut down? These wiretaps likely revealed that the 9/11 operation was being compromised, and Cheney ordered it shut down.

Clinton was set-up by GHW Bush and Israel – and the PNAC plan was implemented, with 9/11 as the pretext – the “New (Richard Pearle) Harbor.”

Ken Lay, GHW Bush, Donald Rumsfeld and Dick Cheney were co-conspirators in the FAKE California energy crisis, designed specifically to establish fear of energy shortages in the minds of the citizens of the United States to create the mindset that has led to our acceptance of TREASON, TYRANNY AND TORTURE in return for oil.

Its very possible the crimes your boy was trying to conceal (obstruction of justice = trying to impede, or hinder possible criminal prosecutions or conceal possible criminal activity) were far more serious than any tax cheat.

Do everything you want to try and minimize the current criminal record of this administation and its cohorts, but that record will soon grow longer, and not only that, but anyone whose in touch with reality (this may not include people like exlaxley and pudrick1) knows that anyones whose been convicted of a felony has almost certainly commited numerous other felonies that slipped under the radar.

Rich was convicted of embezzling. Libby was convicted of preventing the truth from coming out about the fraudulent use of information to go to war. Let’s talk pardons. The Prime Minister of Israel personally asked Clinton to consider pardoning Mark Rich. Rich was guilty of tax evasion. George HW Bush pardoned a convicted heroin smuggler 2 years into a 55-year sentence for bringing heroin into the country. He pardoned three indicted co-conspirators from Iran-Contra who were scheduled to testify under oath about his part in the conspiracy. He pardoned Armand Hammer, President of Occidental Petroleum after he was convicted of illegal campaign contributions to the Repub party. Your “liberal press,” the NYT, published one article on Bush’s pardons and 17 on Clinton’s pardon.
