Michelle Malkin Uses Controversy Over Right-Wing Ex-Pornstar To Excuse Ann Coulter
The real question about Ann Coulter’s latest hate speech is not whether she’ll change her ways (she obviously won’t), but whether the conservative movement will finally reject her en masse.
One of the most prominent right-wingers to condemn Coulter’s “faggot” remark was Michelle Malkin. But in less than a week, Malkin is already downplaying what Coulter said.
At the CPAC conference, a Marine named Matt Sanchez was awarded the Jeanne Kirpatrick Academic Freedom Award. After the conference, a blogger discovered that Sanchez was once a gay porn star and male prostitute, working under the names Rod Majors and Pierre LaBranche.
Malkin’s initial reaction:
I guess we’ll see who the real bigots–on both sides of the aisle–are now. I have a feeling Ann Coulter isn’t the only one who’ll be tossing around the f-word as the story develops.
Malkin today:
I said the other day I thought CPAC organizers would be justified in being embarrassed if the rumors about Sanchez’s porn star past 15 years ago turned out to be true. Well, the rumors are true. But it is neither CPAC nor Cpl. Sanchez who should feel embarrassed.
It’s the nasty, gloating liberals who claim to stand for tolerance, privacy, human rights, and compassion. I predicted the other day that left-wing bigotry would rear its ugly head. I was right. The e-mail I’ve received is more disgusting than anything Ann Coulter stupidly said at CPAC.
It’s unclear why liberals should be embarrassed because they believe in privacy (Sanchez’ history was completely public) or tolerance and human rights (liberals don’t care if he was gay). What’s notable is that Malkin compares Coulter to these alleged “liberal” emailers. Malkin doesn’t get it: the random people allegedly writing her don’t have regular appearances on NBC News or receive warm praise from leading presidential candidates. Malkin’s attempt to conflate Coulter with random emailers simply downplays Coulter’s influence. Ann Coulter is a leader of modern conservatism, and it looks like that’s how things will stay.

I’m sorry, but as someone who taught modern European and German history courses on the college level for almost 20 years, I cannot let this error pass AGAIN!
The Nazis were not–WERE NOT–Socialists. They co-opted the Socialist name to win support from one segment of the German populace, just as they did with “Nationalist,” “Democratic,” and “Worker,” and then, once in power, they systematically began to betray the very electorate they promised to represent. Indeed, because of their traditional association with the Jews, Socialists were among the first members of German society to be marginalized and eventually exiled.
The political landscape in Germany during the late 1920s and early 1930s was extremely complex, and any attempt to impose the sort of simplistic labels we use in this country on that system is just flat out incorrect historically.

You know he pled guilty to passing Top Secret information pertaing to IRAN on to Israel through the leaders of AIPAC, a known spy organization.
You should also know that US Submariner, Ariel Joseph Weinmann, was arrested and charged with espionsge in a case at least as damaging to US National Security as was the Jonathan Pollard case. He turned over all of our nuclear submarine secrets to Israel. Now their subs know everything that the US Navy knows - and they’re likely shadowing our fleet off the coast of Iran right this moment. If a US vessel is attacked in these waters, and the attack is instantly proclamed to have come from Iran, you now know that it will have been a false flag attack from an Israeli sub. The proclamation from the Liar In Chief will be made that “An attack against a US Flagged vessel is the equivalent of an attack on US Soil” - and the nuking of Iran will commence before you can say “holy shit!” Again, this is NOT CONJECTURE, Cheney has TOLD US that the “retaliation plan” is already in place.

Let’s drop the “gay” part for just a minute and bring in Mary Carey, the porn star (current–not former) who was invited to the White House and warmly received by fellow GOP guests. Let’s add to that the porn industry exec (gay porn, by the way) who has donated big time to the GOP, and the cable companies and hotel chains who show hardcore porn in their rooms and are also big supporters of the GOP.
It’s time to kick the GOP off of the fence. You can’t have it both ways. Either you despise porn and it’s the scourge of mankind and you won’t associate with or accept money from the people who produce, promote, and distribute it. Or, you consider it a matter for consenting adults to decide whether or not they wish to view it, and you cut out this nonsense of pretending you’re against it just so you can pretend you’re holier than thou.
The problem for the GOP is this. The party is made up of the bluenose bible-thumpers who, regardless of their personal demons, spout off about pornography and blame the “liberals” for allowing it to propagate. And it’s also made up of libertarians who accuse the “liberals” of trying to apply censorship for wanting to limit access to pornography. Never do the Republican bluenoses and the Republican libertarians point the finger at each other. And it’s high time somebody held their feet to the fire and made them face up to their gross hypocrisy.
And if you throw in the gay element to it, you just amplify that hypocrisy about tenfold. The Republican party is 99 and 99/100s percent pure bullshit. These people have so alienated themselves from the truth, they are utterly clueless as to the meaning of the word.
