I am disappointed in the persons who confronted Obey in the House and confronted him on the war. They seemed misguided to me. They should be protesting to the Repugs who are standing behind Bush – >#13 bigpapa offers a few names.
The Dems ARE working on getting us out of Iraq; we should press them to keep at it, but the stumbling blocks are the Repugs.
By their nature, liberals/progressives do not think in lockstep — they see a bigger picture and approach problems from different angles; they all need to know we, the people, will stand behind them and not call them out at traitors for cutting funding for the surge, or for calling for a timetable or whatever — we are the ones who should let Dems know we will not betray their courage, if they will show courage and stand up to Bush. We should let the Repugs know we will not forget who put politics over lives and defended Bush.
