Rove busy shaping Bush’s legacy.

By Nico Pitney on Mar 9th, 2007 at 12:55 pm

Rove busy shaping Bush’s legacy.

“In an interview this week in his windowless West Wing office, Karl Rove said that there is ‘very little’ discussion about President Bush’s legacy at the White House these days,” the Washington Post reports. But behind the scenes, Rove “has begun trying to put his own distinctive spin on current events and the longer historical view,” specifically asserting that the “Bush doctrine” will be adopted by future U.S. presidents.

Another victim of COD. Clinton Obsessive Disorder. Most often manifested in males who have an inability to appeal to females and are threatened by those with charisma and charm.

Witness the COD of Rush “Limpy” Limbaugh who has been unable to sire children and unable to maintain a healthy and longlasting relationship with a woman.

  4. buzzbomb says:

Oh Patrick, I actually feel sorry for how dumb you are. 9/11 was on Bush’s watch moron. In your delusional fantasy world the sitting president during 9/11 deserves none of the blame. Man you are freakin’ stupid.

  5. RUCerious says:

    Bush’s legacy, yeah right.
ALL future presidents will learn from Bush’s complete, utter, total, miserable failures how NOT to govern.

  6. And You Thought REAGAN Was Stupid says:

Bush’s legacy is simple: FAILURE. Bush has failed in everything he’s attempted as President (and before that, for that matter).

From failing to prevent the worst terrorist attack on U.S. soil in our history, to a failed fiscal policy leading to record deficits, to a failed preemptive policy of waging war on Iraq. FAILURE.

  7. jill says:

Everyone associated with this administration lives in an alternate universe. There is no other explanation for what they do or for what they say.

  8. Cali4nian says:

The “Bush Doctrine” needs to be adopted by future presidents because it has worked out so well for these guys. Bush’s legacy will be having future administrations undo the damage this one brought.

  9. Kid Clu says:

the “Bush doctrine” will be adopted by future U.S. presidents.

How does he figure this ? Let’s see…All the money has already been robbed from the poor & the middle class and given to the rich, so that can’t work anymore…His cowboy war hasn’t worked out too well, so that approach probably won’t work anymore either…So Rove must think that all future president’s will adopt the approach of being insane idiots.
    Wow , what a Great Lie-gacy !

  10. hellinabucket says:

    GSD, that’s fantastic.

Also consider Bushlexia and Rovonic plague.

  11. Zooey says:

    Uh huh.

    Rove is polishing something, alright.

Is that what Chimpy calls it? His legacy?

    Cute.

  12. R says:

Yes- Bushie will go down into history as the biggest, stinking A-hole since the infamous, anti-matter sucking Black Hole of the Andromeda Constellation in the Superstellar Gallaxy, Persius II.

  13. BlueArkansas says:

As a historian, I can say with considerable confidence that, whether viewed from a proximate or a long-term perspective, George W. Bush’s legacy is sh*t.

  14. Barbara Bush says:

He’s done a fantastic job and I’m proud of him. I only wish that Prescott was still alive to see this, instead of rotting in hell with his fraternity buddies. Come to think of it I guess that’s where George himself will be, in short order.

  15. Operation Northwoods III says:

    Bush’s Legacy :

mmm. Responsible for 9/11. Secret Prisons. Outing a CIA Operative.
Iraq War. Afghanistan War. Deplorable conditions at Walter Reed Hospital. Katrina Non-response. Medicare Blunder. Wiretapping.
Anthrax. Military Commissions Act. Disregarding the Constitution. Trying to privitize Social Security. This country’s disgraced position in the world. Corruption. Election Fraud. Ignoring Global Warming Crisis. ETC

    Good Job Chimpie!

    IMPEACH!

Spude_Boy: That windowless office is the Bat Cave. Georgie likes to go there dressed as Robin, and he makes everyone else play dress up too….Laura gets to dress up as the Joker. Gonzales dresses as the Penguin.Cheney, always slightly off theme, will only dress as Count Dracula….The big questions is who do they make play Cat Woman ?

He belongs to you? Well, then, you need to keep that critter under control. We’ve got leash laws in effect in this community.

  22. Operation Northwoods III says:

he big questions is who do they make play Cat Woman ?

    CONdi the Catwoman…

  23. upside00 says:

Maybe we should ask the families of the 3,100 dead soldiers and the 22,000 wounded in Walter Reed and other VA facilities or maybe the victims of the Dubya Cabal’s “efforts” in the Gulf Coast after Katrina.

Bet they would help Pudge Boy Rover polish that sweet smelling Bush turd!

  24. Keith H. says:

Well . . . I guess when you have been a total failure at every aspect of life, and you’ve been the absolute worst president in history, your ‘turd blossum’ feels the need to try and save his own dome from getting intimate with the business end of a sharp blade at the chopping block.

  25. JesusChrist_GodofWAR says:

I wonder what special place in Emperor Bush’s “legacy” Jeff Gannon will have?

  26. ForTruth says:

It’s my understanding that Turd-shaping gets more difficult as the turd dries up.

  27. CONservative says:

    Rove busy shaping Bush’s legacy

I think Iraq has pretty much taken care of that, no matter what propaganda Rove or Fox tries…MISERABLE FAILURE!

  28. AkaDad says:

If only Ronald Reagan hadn’t weakly cut and run from Lebanon after the bombings, the terrorists wouldn’t have been emboldened to attack Manhattan.

    Some good stuff here.

  31. tom baker says:

Bush’s legacy (if it can be called that) is perfectly embodied in knuckle-dragging, windowlicking, mouthbreathers like Patrick.

  32. tom baker says:

    akadad – congrats – you’ve out-stupid-ed patrick!

  33. Spudge_Boy says:

Bush’s Legacy will be 9/11 on his watch, starting an illegal war in Iraq and not helping after Katrina.

    Nothing more, nothing less.

  34. DallasNE says:

Which Bush Doctrine Is Rove talking about. It has changed at least 4 times already. Surely it has another couple of reinventions to go. Obviously, we need to prepare for an onslaught of cherry-picking.

  35. ben says:

If there is one thing Americans hate it is failure. We hate it when our Olympic basketball team gets its ass kicked by Argentina. We hate it when Bodi chokes in the downhill. And we especially hate it when a President’s poor leadership causes us to lose two wars in one decade. Failure is exactly how he will be remembered.

The only President in the history of this great nation to lose two wars in the same decade is how he will be remembered.

  36. big papa says:

    “Bush’s Legacy”

-The People of the United States of America-

    Only President ever:

IMPEACHED (and successfully removed from office)…

INCARCERATED (for TREASON, high crimes and misdemeanors)…

IMPOVERISHED (all assets confiscated by the federal government)…

EXTRADITED (to the Hague to stand trial for war crimes and crimes against humanity)…

  37. bye bye GOP says:

The real Bush legacy is he ruined the Republic party for a generation. They will have many years of wandering in the wilderness of the minority party after Bush leaves office.

  38. TripMaster Monkey says:

    ben sez:

The only President in the history of this great nation to lose two wars in the same decade is how he will be remembered.

Remember, ben, Chimpy won’t technically ‘lose’ the wars, because he’ll refuse to end them. As long as you’re still fighting, you don’t have to admit defeat. He’ll pass them off to his (most probably) Democratic successor, and let the next administration ‘lose’ the wars.

Never mind that we know the wars are unwinnable right now…that’s how the Repugs are going to try to paint this. At this point, it’s the only way their party can survive to fight another day.

  39. Raven says:

    Shaping his legacy?
Last I heard, he was polishing it…

Well, I suppose one can only polish some cheap revolver taken from a deposed dictator so many times before it gets rubbed away to nothing…

What’re you shaping up this time Karl?
Some South American aborigine’s bow and arrow?

  40. lgreene says:

    “Rove busy shaping Bush’s legacy”

It’s amazing how malleable big piles of shit can be, eh Karl?

  41. Shane says:

    34. Which Bush Doctrine Is Rove talking about

    Easy, “Mein Kampf”.

  42. War4Sale says:

The “Bush Doctrine” – Miserable failure as the overriding domestic and foreign policy objective.

  45. Think Free says:

I see that Bush is left stupidly non-responsive when asked to comment on Chavez during his Latin American spew trip.
While he is generally non-responsive and has a blank stare, otherwise known as being brain dead, it occurred to me that karl Rove is not within wireless mic distance, so Bush isn’t allowed to speak.
Does anyone keep an hourly track of Rowe’s location?
This would be MOST revealing, I think.

  46. Raymond Funamoto says:

Karl Miss Piggy Rove IS BUSY SHAPING CHIMPya’s LEGACY–Take it away, George W.:
“With jus’ a hundret pounds o’ SHIT
Turd Blossom made ma’ life worth livin’
An’ I will thank Him every day
For every MALE kiss Ah’ll be givin’
And I’ll thank Him ebbery night
For the MALE arms tha’ ar’ holdin’ ma c*ck tight
And Rovie did it all wit’ just a hundret pounds o’ SHIT
Yes he did, woa-oh, yes He did
With jus’ a hundret pounds o’ SHIT
People, let me tell ya what Turd Blossom did
With jus’ a hundret pound so’ SHIT!”
(with GREAT APOLOGIES TO MR. GENE McDANIELS)
