Tom DeLay says he’ll be CNN commentator.
“Tom DeLay is becoming a commentator for CNN, according to John Fund. In today’s WSJ Political Diary, he writes: ‘Despite his antipathy toward liberals, Mr. DeLay joked that he’s happy to work with them. He told me he is about to sign on with CNN as a commentator. “I may be their only conservative on air, but someone has to do it.”‘”

In 1999, Soon Oh Kwon, president of Kwon Enterprises, and his wife pleaded guilty in U.S. District Court to violating federal laws against involuntary servitude.
The two admitted to bringing Chinese women to Saipan in 1996 and 1997 on contracts to work as waitresses. Instead, they were forced to work as “bargirls” at Kwon Enterprises’ karaoke club, K’s Hideaway. The women were forced to have sex with the patrons, Kwon said.
If the Chinese women said they wanted to return home, they were told they could not leave until they repaid their debt for coming to Saipan. In case they had any thoughts of leaving any way, they were told they would be killed if they tried, Kwon said.

…the Tan Family has had a history of involvement in sweatshops:
In 1992, the U.S. Department of Labor filed suit against five of Tan’s factories. It said that employees were forced to work 84 hours a week with no overtime and below the territory’s then-minimum wage of $2.90 an hour.
The suit also said that many of Tan’s employees were not allowed to leave their work sites or the barracks where they lived.
Tan ended up paying $9 million in restitution to 1,200 employees. Up to that time, it was the largest fine ever imposed by the Labor Department.
Frank Murkowski, then chairman of the Senate Energy and Natural Resources Committee, called the conditions faced by workers there “appalling.” In 2000, he marshaled an immigration-reform bill through his committee and through the Senate.
However, in the face of DeLay’s opposition, it died in the House.

March 9th, 2007 at 4:35 pmI would like to make the point that very few of the people who claim to be conservatives are actually conservatives, whether they are in the Republican Party or in the media. This certainly includes Tom Delay. True conservatives claim to believe in the following:

2) Strong guarantees of constitutional liberties
3) Effective national defense
4) Lower taxes
5) Respect for human life
Tom Delay and the rest of the pseudoconservatives are diametrically opposed to every single one of these principles.
1) Under Bush and the megagovernment neoconservatives, government spending has increased enormously. As far as less intrusive government goes, the theocons have rammed through the PATRIOT ACT; the Military Commissions Act; initiated a massive database collection program, involving ATT and the NSA, not to mention the FBI; have effectively suspended habeas corpus; and have created laws, which make the imposition of martial law far too easy.
2) This same group has effectively shredded the constitution, in regard to the above mentioned points.
3) As far as effective defense goes, this is the group that can’t even defend its own military headquarters, as we witnessed during the attack on the Pentagon on 9-11-2001. Furthermore, they couldn’t catch bin Laden, if he were a ranch hand in Crawford, Texas. And let’s not forget that in destroying Valerie Plame’s Brewster-Jennings and Associates WMD network, they have materially increased the chances that the smoking gun from this case could be a mushroom cloud. And last, but not least, they have created an Al Qaeda paradise in Iraq.
4) The ultimate cost of the Iraq war has been estimated by Nobel Laureate, Joseph Stiglitz, to be $2.26 trillion. This is a staggering sum that will increase taxes for at least two generations.
5) As far as respect for human life goes, these “conservatives†have fomented a war in Iraq that has resulted in the deaths of 655,000 Iraqis; turned Iraq and Afghanistan into depleted uranium superfund sites, that have seriously compromised the genetic future of everyone in the region; and have promoted torture and other serious human rights abuses at Abu Ghraib, Guantanamo, and Bagram Air Force Base. (And this is the short list.)

I did watch the Situation Room at times but Wolfie is a wimp and his monotone voice is more than I can stand, and I did watch American Morning when I worked a later shift, but Soledad started getting on my nerves.
Yeah, I know John Dean was a Watergate criminal and has been on Countdown quite a few times, but he’s an intelligent criminal. DeLay is just an idiot criminal. No intelligence in his brain…

March 10th, 2007 at 4:13 pmI see the liberals still do not understand that the only guy in trouble is not Tom Delay, it is Ronnie Earl, the partisan hack who dropped a case against Kay Bailey Hutchinson when it was ordered to trial, for lack of evidence, and when he does it again, for lack of a crime, much less evidence, I feel that Mr Earl will be charged with wrongfull prosecution. Tom Delay won’t be so nice and neither will the real democrats in Mr. Earl’s district.
Ronnie Earl is just another political hack that will bite the dust like that democrat that caused innocent young men, in the Duke rape case, a lot of grief over the lies of a whore just to court the black vote. Ronnie Earl is the same kind of man.
Liberals will stoop to anything to smear President Bush, as has been evidenced by the, what, 17 different meaningless surrender proposals for the war in Iraq. It has become so very important to democrats to spill all of the secret methods used to track money to terroists, to undermine the ability to monitor phone conversations between terrorists overseas and their co-conspirators in the U.S. and lets let the enemy know we are weak and will run on date certain. I find it hard to understand the intensity of the hatred of President Bush while they undertake an almost excusatory policy toward the real enemies of the U.S. But, then it is always America’s fault and never the Islamofacists, who, if treated like we treat our criminals will be allowed to walk the streets as soon as the liberal judges can let them walk. They, like the criminals with rap sheets as long as a roll of toilet paper, will be allowed to re-dedicate themselves to terrorist activity like the criminals who see no reason to reform.
It would be nice if the liberals would just grow up.

Now what do the libs have to offer; Al Gore (inventor of the internet & global warming), John Kerry (3 purple hearts in 4 months, none more serious than a papercut), Hillary Clinton (I won’t be a stand by your man kind of woman, remember), Micheal Moore (stages scenes and calls it a documentary & who now has been exposed as the inventor of new form of entertainment called the crockumentary, this will be the next Oscar category just so he can win another), Cindy Sheehan (Hugs for Fidel and Hugo Chavez, dishonors the son she says she cares about and has lost her entire family over her luncacy), Nancy Pelosi (appoints Bill Jefferson, how stupid is a man who freezes his own assets, to the Homeland Security Committee so now instead of bribing others he can be bribbed to divulge national security secrets), John Murtha (a war hero who never fired a shot in anger as Military Intellegence officer in the rear in Vietnam, please remember, liberals referred to Military Intellegence as an oxymoron at the same time he was such an officer), Chuck Shumer (”there selling our ports to the enemy”, whoops, no ports were ever for sale and Hillary just repeated that stupidity), Elanor Holmes Norton, (goes to New Orleans to insure that the poor blacks are again placed in the projects, scheduled to be demolished for mixed income neighborhoods, which are no more than drug infested, crime infested, rat infested, murder a day, warehouses that keeps them poor, beholding and on the democrat plantation), Marion Berry (coke infested, unable to fill out a tax return for the ninth straight year, but gets re-elected), Bill Jefferson (known since Edwin Edwards, a convicted crook, so named him, Dollar Bill Jefferson who now has his assistants convicted, $90,000 in marked bribery money in his freezer & gets re-elected), Barney Frank (likes congressional pages and has a male prostitute as a live in and gets re-elected), Ted Kennedy (lost his life saving, swimming & caring merit badges a long time ago, but dems keep re-electing him).
It is time for that party to grow up.
