White House acknowledges Rove played a role»

in the U.S. attorney firings. “The White House acknowledged on Sunday that presidential adviser Karl Rove served as a conduit for complaints about federal prosecutors as House investigators declared their intention to question him about any role he may have played in the firing of eight U.S. attorneys.”

Ho-Hum. Another week, another GOP crisis. The GOP must be yearnng for the days of cum-stained dresses and VPs making campaign calls from the White House. When Hastert was House Speaker he had to deal with pressing matters like flag burning, gay marriage, and Terri Schiavo. Now that Hastert has taken a back seat, the GOP crooks are being weeded out in ones and twos. Good luck in 2008 “conservatives.”

He’ll be questioned under oath, right? :)

That Rachel must have been having a hard time of it. You see, she just recently lost her mother and her only companion in the whole world. I hope she really didn’t kill herself. I mean being totally disabled like she was and losing her only caregiver she has known for all these years, no wonder she might have felt like not living.

I have emailed them twice now and the first time they did in fact state a “Rachel Renaldo Jacinta Kinnardi” did in fact die and that it was drug related, and was still under investigation by Federal Marshall’s, and therefore no information would be published at this time since it was still under investigation. The second time I tried them, their basic reply was, “We won’t disclose that information upon orders of the tribal and US authorities”

I wonder if they will at least post an obituary for Rachel Renaldo Jacinta Kinnardi, if she did in fact die. Then we will know for sure. But what happens if they don’t? Are drug lords not allowed to know she died just yet?

As Krugman pointed out in last fridays NYT, the real scandal is with all the U.S. Attorneys not fired. What pollitically motivated charges did they pursue with extra zeal?

And now the concerned bystander appears. Welcome to another of Rachel’s dress-up parties.

  6. Marie Says:

Rove told Weh of the RNC that Iglesias was “gone.”
Then that story was slightly altered by Weh.
Now we learn that Rove was “conduit” for complaints.

We are supposed to believe that he was merely a messenger.

Every week there are more scandals, more tales of misdeeds and even crimes.
    Cheney’s office is in disarray.
The wheels are coming off, but the chariot keeps rolling.

  7. barfly Says:

What pollitically motivated charges did they pursue with extra zeal?

    Comment by Bowdler — M

Well, I can see why Carol Lam got the boot: she wasn’t sufficiently zealous in filing claims against illegal immigrant smugglers. She claimed in the Union Tribune that it was because the Bush administration hadn’t supplied her with adequate resources; and since Duncan Hunter had just announced his candidacy, her failure to pursue these high-profile cases was making him look bad, so it’s goodbye, Carol.

(Big Barfly, Big Barfly) (Jimmy Dean)

Ev’ry mornin’ at Think Progress you could see him arrive
He stood six foot six and weighed two forty five
Kinda broad at the shoulder and narrow at the hip
And everybody knew he had cocksucker lips, Big Barfly.
(Big Bar, Big Bar) Big Barfly

Nobody seemed to know where Barfly called home
He just drifted into town and stayed all alone
He didn’t say much, kinda quiet and shy
And if you spoke at all, you just said “How much?”… to Big Barfly

Somebody said he came from New Orleans
Where he got in a fight over a Cajun Drag Queen
And a crashin’ blow from a huge right hand
Sent a Loosiana fellow to the Promised Land-Big Barfly
(Big Bar, Big Bar) Big Bad Barfly

Then came the day at the bottom of the thread
When a timber cracked and the workers fled
Miners were prayin’ and hearts beat fast
And everybody thought that they’d breathed their last-’cept Barfly

Through the dust and the smoke of this man-made hell
Walked a giant of a man that the posters knew well
Grabbed a saggin’ timber, gave out with a groan
And like a giant oak tree he just stood there alone-Big Barfly
(Big Bar, Big Bar) Big Bad Barfly

And with all of his strength he gave a mighty shove
Then a poster yelled out “There’s a light up above!”
And twenty men scrambled from a would-be grave
Now there’s only one left down there to save-Big Barfly

With jacks and timbers they started back down
Then came that rumble way down in the ground
And then smoke and gas belched up out of that thread
Everybody knew there was just one dead. Big Barfly
(Big Barfly, Big Barfly) Big Bad Barfly (Big Barfly)

Now they never reopened that worthless pit
They just placed a marble stand in front of it
These few words are written on that stand
At the bottom of this thread lies a hell of man, Big Barfly
(Big Barfly, Big Barfly) Big Bad Barfly (Big Barfly)

I would argue that they’re doing EXACTLY the right thing right now. But, go ahead and elaborate on what it is you think they should be doing right now beyond bringing a number of DoJ people in to testify under oath, and gathering enough sworn testimony to be able to go after Rove and Gonzales. Should the Dems be storming the White House with a SWAT team and phsyically dragging people out or what? What f*cking program are they supposed to be getting with right now?

No, this was more like rachel. God rest her soul. She was pickle barrel crazy.
We lost a true patriot the day we lost rachel.

Let’s all bow our heads in silence, for a moment of prayer.
Rachel we all love you and miss you terribly here at Think Progress.
If we had it to do over again we would say we were sorry and accept you as you were.

    Honest Injun we would.

Sing along with all your heart in reverance to and a remembrance of goodwill to rachel.
A posthumous roast if you will.

    I will start.

    If rachel were here she would be singing this tune quite wildly;

She’ll Be Coming Around the Mountain

She’ll be coming round the mountain when she comes
She’ll be coming round the mountain when she comes
She’ll be coming round the mountain, she’ll be coming round the mountain,

She’ll be driving six white horses when she comes
She’ll be driving six white horses when she comes
She’ll be driving six white horses, she’ll be driving six white horses,
She’ll be driving six white horses when she comes

Oh, we’ll all go out to meet her when she comes
Oh, we’ll all go out to meet her when she comes

Oh, we’ll all go out to meet her, we’ll all go out to meet her,
We’ll all go out to meet her when she comes

She’ll be wearing red pajamas when she comes

She’ll be wearing red pajamas, she’ll be wearing red pajamas,
She’ll be wearing red pajamas when she comes

She will have to sleep with Grandma when she comes
She will have to sleep with Grandma when she comes
She will have to sleep with Grandma, she will have to sleep with Grandma,
She will have to sleep with Grandma when she comes

That is my tribute to rachel. I hope you find peace in your new surroundings rachel. Honest Injun I do.

Libby Guilty, Cheney Gets 30 Years, Bush Impeached
    by Scott Ott

(2007-03-06) — Former vice presidential aide I. Lewis “Scooter” Libby, convicted today of four counts of lying to federal investigators about a law that he didn’t break, said he feels “very badly” that Vice President Dick Cheney now faces up to 30 years in federal prison, and President George Bush will be impeached.

“I know that this case wasn’t about me, or even about Valerie Plame,” said Mr. Libby, “so I don’t take it personally. But Dick Cheney and George Bush are fine men and I hate to see them suffer.”

Special Prosecutor Patrick Fitzgerald celebrated the jury’s verdict as a “vindication of the American legal system.”

“It’s a good lesson to our children that we are a nation of laws,” said Mr. Fitzgerald, “and when serious charges are made about laws that haven’t been broken by high-ranking officials, justice demands that someone be convicted of something, and that someone goes to jail.”

Mr. Fitzgerald, asked what he would do now that the trial is over, said, “I’m going to Disney World to give Snow White an opportunity to perjure herself.”

And after my telling the others about your real identity, and how Troll Alert only posts to fool the others with the good guy/ bad guy monolog (”monolog,” because you’re really just talking to yourself), suddenly you’re posting on multiple threads dealing with multiple topics; it’s almost like you were trying to show that what I said was false. Another coincidence, eh? Gary Sneller is survived by a sister, Cheryl Childers and his mother, Romayne Sneller.
