Yep..Is hard work being professional liars

In fact, the Constitution is far more than ‘outmoded,’ according to President Bush who rebuffed GOP leader’s request to soft pedal some parts of the ‘Patriot Act’ by saying: “I don’t give a goddamn . . . I’m the President and the Commander-in-Chief. Do it my way.” Then, responding to an aid who stated: “There is a valid case that the provisions in this law undermine the Constitution.” Bush screamed back: “Stop throwing the constitution in my face . . . It’s just a goddamned piece of paper!”

What’s most interesting is that the most confrontational questioning of Mr. Sampson is from Republican Senator Arlen Spector. As I said in my previous post, the smoking gun in this whole issue is the fact that the Justice Department knowingly and deliberately took advantage of that little known clause in the Patriot Act which allows the president to replace US Attorneys WITHOUT Senate confirmation.

On an unrelated point, and to add insult to injury, now the King of Saudi Arabia has condemed GWB’s war in Iraq as the “illegitimate foreign occupation” of Iraq. It’s looking bad for the Bush crowd when the Saudi’s, long time friends of the Bush family, are now condeming the U.S. occupation of Iraq.

Bush just needs to conceed and agree that he’s made some VERY BAD decisions. He’d save face with U.S. citizens and citizens of the entire world if he’d just come clean with the fact that he’s made some bad decisions.

It’s sad when a Democrat like me, actually misses the days of Reagan and GHW Bush. Unlike others, I don’t actually see our current president as “evil”. I think he TRULY believes in what he does and what he says. For that, I respect him. Unfortunately, I think he’s surrounded himself with a bunch of unscrupulous corporate/political cronies, the likes of Karl Rove, Dick Cheney and John Ashcroft (to name just a few). Cheney & Rove seem to be the REAL source of all of the secrecy and corruption in the White House.

Thank GOD that the American people got fed up in this past election and put Democrats in office to finally put this out-of-control Executive Administration in check. I’m not saying that Democrats aren’t corrupt themselves, nor do they pander to their own agendas and special interests – but still, at LEAST there are now some checks-&-balances in place in Washington to keep the ideological agendas of the likes of Dick Cheney and Karl Rove under scrutiny.

Again – I predict there WILL be impeachment proceedings against BOTH President Bush and Vice President Cheney. I don’t believe it’s a “stretch” for me to make this prediction since now we’ve got Republican Senators and the mayor of Salt Lake City, Utah invoking the “I” word.

Americans and the world is LESS safe because of GWB’s baseless war in Iraq. Iraq had NOTHING to do with 9-11. There WERE no weapons of mass detruction. Al Qaeda wasn’t in Iraq until after we invaded that country. Nobody seems to even care if about Bin Laden anymore. We’re NOT doing enough in Afganistan where those 9-11 terrorists were based.

I’m so sick of hearing the same old tired talking points designed to impart fear in Americans – how it’s better that were fighting over here that on our own soil – as if somehow some small terrorist group is going to wage a full-scale attack on our country. It’s bogus and it’s shamefull to keep using what happened on 9-11 as a justification to remain engaged indefinately in a civil war.

It’s deplorable that Cheney & Rove have used this “Terrorism” scare-tactic to coerce Americans into voting for Bush and supporting his illegal, self-serving baseless war. It’s SHAMEFUL that Rove and the idiots like Senator Bill Frist, Tom DeLay and Rick Santorum used Terri Schiavo and gay marriage as divisive issues to gain the votes of evangelicals, while their beloved president was stomping all over the U.S. Constitution; wasting U.S. lives and squandering hundreds of billions of dollars of their tax dollars on his illegal and immoral war – all based on lies!

I firmly believe that by or before 11-2008, these folks are going DOWN! Anyone in Bush’s administration with ANY integrity has already left as being associated with this administration is political suicide. If the Democrats in power now have any balls, they will initiate impeachment against BOTH Bush & Cheney!

I know what ya mean, but don’t forget that Bill Moyers wore a flag lapel pin not long before he left BPS. He said that he decided to put it on because “it’s time to take it back”. It doesn’t belong to Bush & Co…It belongs to “We The People”.

What is really maddening is that these idiotic ideologues say that they represent us and that they are protecting us from terrorism. Regime change begins at home, but our corporate government is not recognising the will of the people. They still think they can control us through the main stream media and outright lying that has been going for six years. For wealth and political gain they have dishonered themselves and stand before as as an enemy willing to gamble whatever capitol they still have to attain their Neoconservative aims.

These people are not Americans, they are not republicans, and they certainly are not worthy of wearing the flag of the United States of America…Lets take it back.

The fact that these attorneys were replaced WITHOUT Senate confirmation under this “little known” clause of the Patriot Act is the REAL smoking gun here!

I predict that Bush will end up firing Gonzales over this scandal – if only for the purpose of protecting his political master-mind Karl Rove.

I also predict that we’ll see impeachment efforts towards Bush & Cheney during the last few months of this administration. It’s inevitable!
