Fox Attacks: Black America.

Fox Attacks: Black America.

Robert Greenwald’s FoxAttacks.com: “When James Rucker, the founder of ColorOfChange.org, found out that the Congressional Black Caucus Institute was considering partnering with Fox to host presidential debates, he was outraged. He contacted us for help and together we’ve put together this video highlighting Fox’s awful record of airing bigoted views and highly problematic framing around race issues.” Watch it, then take action:

More details HERE.

  1. Patrick1 says:

This seems to be more about putting the Democrats on channels no one watches. If they don’t want anyone watching their candidates why don’t they put their debates on Olbermann’s show?

  2. Juan C says:

What a circus is that channel. I was laughing all the way. And the black folks who spoke against their community…poor fellas.

  3. nffcnnr says:

Fight the power! The best way to stop FoxNoise is to continue to marginalize them. The best way to marginalize them is to use their own words and broadcasts to show how far out on the radical right wing fringe they are.

  4. Shane says:

This might be politically incorrect so I apologize in advance if anybody is offended.

Has anybody beside me ever noticed that Republican spokespeople who are African American most often look and sound a lot like Stepford Wives?

I wonder if Patrick1 comes from that factory?

  5. Patrick1 says:

Why is the left against having their debates on channels people actually watch?

  6. TripMaster Monkey says:

Why is Patrick1 against against discussing the actual issues, rather than just knocking down his pathetic straw men?

  7. Str8edge says:

Why is the left against having their debates on channels people actually watch?

    Comment by Patrick1

Because the agenda of the reports on FOX is to promote propaganda, for example: Neil Cavuto’s reference to Hugo Chavez as a dictator. He is an elected official, weather you agree with his politics or not. That’s just one example of the insidious nature of Fox News.

  8. Patrick1 says:

The issue as presented is moonbat nuttiness, nothing new there. I’m interested in why the left doesn’t want the American people to see their debates?

  9. hypatia's father says:

I’m interested in why Patrick1 thinks he speaks for the American people, when it’s clear he doesn’t even speak for the Republican partry?

    Why Patrick1?

  10. Patrick1 says:

Cavuto was correct about Chavez. I’m still wondering why the left is afraid to let the American people watch their debates? Are they afraid that at last the moonbats will be exposed to all without the protection of the MSM?

  11. R says:

Boycott FOX. You can’t play fair with cheaters, so why try?

  12. GSD says:

Gee Patrick, you’d think that the Republicans won in a landslide in 2006 and all America was watching and buying the tripe that Fox was selling.

    Funny stuff.

    You should work for Colbert.

    -GSD

  13. PeterW says:

I bet Patrick1 even thinks Fox’s numbers come anywhere close to broadcast news. He’s just that kind of delusional.

  14. TripMaster Monkey says:

    Patrick1 sez:

I’m interested in why the left doesn’t want the American people to see their debates?

First of all, let’s dispense with yet another of you idiotic straw men. This issue is not whether or not the left wants the American people to see their debates. The issue is that James Rucker would rather the Black Caucus Institute not partner with Fox to host presidential debates

So, the real question is: why doesn’t James Rucker want the Black Caucus Institute to partner with Fox to host presidential debates? Try watching the above video for an answer.

As for the left in general, racism is just a small part of FOX’s assault upon the institution of broadcast news. Even if Rupert Murdoch hadn’t admitted openly that he used FOX news to push his right-wing agenda, it would still be apparent to everyone capable of walking without assistance from their knuckles that FOX “News” is nothing of the kind…it is nothing but a right-wing propaganda machine masquerading as a news agency.

    Look here for more info.

  15. Nostromo says:

    Patrick1:
You seem to be the master of finding the most trivial and false ideas in a controversy.
For example, this thing about the debates on FOX news isn’t about democrats “not wanting people to see their debates.”
If you’d actually pull your head out of Karl Rove’s ass, you would see that we don’t want to have our debate on a network that will spin it endlessly to make us look bad.
And then you claim that “Cavuto was right about Chaves” but don’t even back it up.
I think you win Wingnut of the Day in my mind.

  16. GSD says:

Why is Fox Snooze AFRAID to admit that they are proudly Republicans?

Why, one would think they would be proudly declaring their Republican allegiance, but Fox wants to hide that fact now?

Hmmmm…..perhaps because of the election massacre in 2006 Fox wants to rebrand themselves?

    Moral cowards.

    -GSD

  17. PeterW says:

Apparently to Patrick1 “dictator” means “overwhelmingly elected and popular leader I don’t like”, where “president” means “barely and dubiously elected, widely hated and overwhelmingly disapproved autocrat”.

    Newspeak is a doubleplusgood thing.

  18. Str8edge says:

I watch and read all the MSM I possibly can, because I like to be informed and am amazed that anyone can still refer to it as liberal. That machine is neither liberal nor conservative, but self serving to the bottom line.

  19. Jake says:

So, Nostromo, can Bush stop calling on David Gregory now, without any negative comment from liberals?

  20. Democrat Soldier says:

All you have to do is average the intelligence of the people that watch Fox News, and you come up with a big Number One!

OK, that’s being facetious. But you have to admit, if you fall for the lies and patrisan spin from the Republican Foax news, you don’t care about truth or accuracy in reporting.

  21. And You Thought REAGAN Was Stupid says:

Why is the left against having their debates on channels people actually watch? Comment by Patrick1

The Dems would probably rather have a debate on a channel which is watched by intelligent people of voting age than by morons and 8-year-olds. I mean, if you watch Fox for your news, you probably aren’t intelligent enough to even find your polling place to vote, as demonstrated by the spanking the conservatives took in the last election.

  22. Str8edge says:

The only accuracy in reporting I see out there comes from Reuters and the Christian Science Monitor. WTF, not CNN, MSNBC, ABC, and certainly not FOX.

  23. PeterW says:

The only accuracy in reporting I see out there comes from Reuters and the Christian Science Monitor.

Don’t forget McClatchy, and Knight-Ridder had some good stories on Iraq that blew the propaganda out of the water.

Hell, it’s sad that Rolling Stone does better journalism on the American political system’s problems than most mainstream outlets.

  24. Str8edge says:

  25. Deniz Yeter says:

Gotta love how FOX News uses Mark Fuhrman whenever they can

    What a racist pig…

  26. ecthompson says:

Great video. Thanks for putting that together.

  27. Roger_Roger says:

That video did not show Fox news “going after” or “attacking” Black people for being black in any way. It would take a very creative mind using a ton of assumption to come to that conclusion. Are you upset simply because they “attacked” people for their views that were black? Is it not ok to disagree with someone if they are black? Does being black exclude you from being debated about your opinions and beliefs?

I simply love how the left go to such extremes. Furthermore, the Dem party calling itself the party for Black America is laughable. Which party was the first to have a Black WOMAN as the Sec. of State? How about Colon Powell? Furthermore, the Dem party has been talking down to the black community for over 30 years. You go to get elected and talk about how unfair America is and how you will help them. WHEN?? It has been over 30 years and you still campaign on the same exact messege. You ever going to deliver? I just hope to God you don’t put the final knife in the back of Black American and nominate some White Woman that has little shot to win when you have a Black canidate that will easily win. That certainly would be the last straw for me.

  28. Shane says:

    27. Roger_Roger
Did you not notice that every time they are talking about A black person they say, “Why do THEY act that way?”
Transpose they with the N word and you have your anwer. Of course you wouldn’t see the racism. And as far as Condi is concerned did you see my earlier post about Stepford Wives.
And what’s the percentage of black congressmen in each party? And have you had a black senator? Yeah your party is all about rights for people – like Strom Thurmond who thought it was his right to sleep with a black woman while married and have a child with her and keep her hidden and still preach racism and segregation.
    You’re such an ass!

  29. Roger_Roger says:

#28 The “Black Community” has forced this type of talk. The reasons are simple. African Americans themselves like to refer to the “Black Community”. Furthermore, we have the BLack Caucus, NAACP, and so forth. We also have self proclaimed “Black leaders” of the African community. All this type of talk forces us to talk about African Americans as a “Group” as even our congress is currently doing it. I personally think it is horrible but when folks from our Congress, Jesse Jackson, and even Sharpton demand it of us, what choice do we have?

They ask to be treated as a group. I disagree with this type of talk and I completely disagree that they need “leaders”, “BET”, “Black Caucus”, or organizations like the “NAACP”. All these things promote them as needing and carectorize them in a “They” sense. I personally hope every American is an individual. “Leaders” of Americans are our elected officials. Either way, when they demand special treatment, special groups, and their own leaders, it kinda forces Americas hand.

Some day I truly hope these evil groups die. They are the driving force instilling the idea that African Americans are “lesser” and “needing”.

If we had a “white caucas” etc. we would then have to talk about white’s in terms of “they”. Are you saying we should have a “White leader”, a “White Caucas”, “White Entertainment Television”, and a “NAAWP”? Seems like that would be driving us backwards like the African American groups are currently doing. Anytime you make a set of people a “group” because they are “different” you force polticians and media to take about them as “they” because they demand it.

  30. ValiantVenusGrewFromUranus says:

Roger_Roger, minorities have a caucus, specifically because of bigoted dum bass idiots like yourself. When you stop being bigoted, self righteous pricks – those caucuses will not be needed anymore.

We won’t hold our breath for your ‘enlightenment’ however. Someone as st*pid as yourself – and the majority of your GOP idiot friends are beyond hope, reason or help.

  31. Roger_Roger says:

#30 Yes, the repugs are so bigoted they had the very first Black Women as Sec of State. We also had the First Black man as Sec. of State. I would definelty call that bigoted. It isn’t like we have a site like TP that only posts and promotes a white person for president even though she has a poor chance at winning when they have a Black canidate that could cruise to victory. If we had that ability, maybe we could be just as bigoted as the left??

#31 – Maybe you could explain why all the “dixiecrats” left the Democratic party to join the Republican party when the Democrats started supporting Civil rights?

  36. Roger_Roger says:

#33 Can I assume you support the US government cracking down on illegal aliens? I am also a supporter of such policy and am glad to see fellow supporters that believe in the protection of our borders and our services. Thank you for pointing out this Murdoch’s illegal status. I hope the US government ships him alone with the 11 million+ illegals straight out of this country ASAP.

It’s amazing how liberals fall silent when you ask them to put up or shut up!

  40. The Unknown Democrat says:

The so called conservatives like Patrick1, Michael and the others are exactly why the terrorists are winning in Iraq. They are so busy attacking Black Americans while the terrorist plot to kill us all. They seem to forget that Whites brought Blacks to America by force, and yet they let every Arab who wants to open a store in without paying taxes or checking their background. That’s right Patrick1, Black Americans are the real threat, just keep attacking them and the terrorist will be defeated.

I’m surprised that Fox News didn’t blame 9-11 on blacks. As for Sean KKK Hannity’s remark about angry blacks protesting; If cops would stop shooting blacks first and asking questions later there would be no protest. I’m sure if one of Seans Klan brothers was shot by a bunch of black cops for no reason, he’d be praising the cops for doing a great job.

I served this country in the United States Army for 11 years and A–Holes like those of Foxs make me regret putting my life on the line for them to call me and my people racist. They can’t find a racist at a Klan rally, but any blacks claims discrimination is a racist in their eyes.

  46. nullMark says:

The Fox News that produces Hannity & Combs, Orielly, and now Hannity has a show by himself and I must include the so called Fair and Balance national news cast have been nothing more than a PR campaign for the Republican Party. I’ve heard many of the talking points come out of Hannity mouth that have come from the White House news briefs. Orielly “No Spin Zone” spins the facts to his biggoted racists gay bashing views. There is nothing Fair and Balance about the national news casts of Fox News when the ownership has admitted slanting it’s news casts in support of Bushs policies. So many of their guests I’ve never heard of and at times I think they’ve been coached on what to say. I will say Al Sharpton has done a good job standing up to folks like Orielly and Hannity and Company. I just don’t understand why anyone would believe that Fox News is “Fair and balanced” when members of the news shows participates in Republican Party fund raisers and openly supports the liar Bush and Company. RUN FOX OFF THE AIR, the biggots that they are!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
