She’s the stereotypical bitch.

as the wreck beck movement leader, I must say this is very interesting.

    the hate machine rolls on.

go to my blog achorn.blogspot.com if you want to know more about beck, and what to do about him.

…this sprite really hates his mother…

…after what she did with him though…

    …who can blame him…

  3. Zooey says:

Morons like Glenn Beck always view strong and intelligent women as “Bitches,” because they are intimidated. It says more about Beck, than it does about HRC.

  4. Krawl says:

My guess is that “Glenn or Glenda” had an overbearing mother.

  5. ScrewBush says:

PLEASE Write CNN. GB is just a disgusting human being.

  6. ValiantVenusGrewFromUranus says:

Glenn’s a stereotypical misogynistic dick that’s afraid of women, especially powerful ones, unless they act like 12 year old boys (Ann Coulter) and protect them from the big mean liberals!

What a bunch of whiny little twits fill the ranks of the GOP!

  7. Dr. Matt says:

    Damn “liberal” MSM!

  8. Lora says:

Gee, what sophisticated commentary (sarcasm off) from a stereotypical undereducated neo-CON jerk.

  9. GSD says:

The Bush/Coulter/Rove Republican Theme Attack is fleshing out just fine. Barack Obama is a terrorist. John Edwards is a faggot. Hillary Clinton is a bitch.

The scum is rising to the top as the bottom of the barrel is stirred-up.

  10. hypatia's father says:

Faggots and bitches. This new generation of conservatives is just all class, isn’t it?

(Jake, do you think that’s why Reagan’s crying on the cover of Time?–Or do you think these neocon youngsters are just finally saying what the old crop thought but had the horse-sense not to say?)

In any case, I figure Beck should rename his show in honor of the now canceled classic: “BACK-fire”.

  11. Raoul Paste says:

Don’t fool yourself. This hateful speech is exactly why CNN hired Beck. And it will get worse, since whipping up the Republican base with increasingly shrill rhetoric is the only way to divert attention from massive corruption and ruinous policy failure.

  12. SD says:

So what? I’m a progressive, and I think she’s a bitch, too. An insincere, condescending, two-faced bitch.

“Let the conversation begin,” followed by a decree that anti-war voters can go find someone else, and that she’d keep troops in Iraq beyond 2009. B-i-t-c-h.

  13. j swift says:

Naw, its just that when he thinks about Hilary, his shorts get real roomy all of a sudden. Powerful women do that to sexist a&&holes.

  14. Raymond Funamoto says:

Senator Clinton to Glenn Beck: “HELLO, SON!!!!!”
AND CONTINUING: “HEY, Glenn, BY THE WAY, I FOUND YOUR REAL PARENTS BECAUSE I’M JUST YOUR FOSTER MOTHER–HERE’S $50, YOU SHOULD GET A MARRIAGE LICENSE FOR THEM SO YOU CAN BECOME LEGAL!!!!! AND IF THERE’S ANY CHANGE LEFT OVER, GET YOURSELF SOME CHEESE, YOU F*CKING RAT-BASTARD!!!!!”

  15. n69n says:

gosh, imagine the outrage if someone said that about laura….

  16. hypatia's father says:

You’re right, Raoul. And it works for Beck and the cable corporations because it consolidates viewer markets, and that equals bucks.

But… the polling is quite clear on this. For every single right-wing nutjob they pull in to watch Beck, O’Reilly, et al., they alienate at least one to two moderates (usually female). Now the nutjobs are and were going to vote republican anyway; but you have wonder about the discriminating moderate, eh? 2008, here we come.

This is the lesson that the Bushies have repeatedly failed to learn: he who lives by the sword, dies by the sword.

  17. wayne says:

CNN needs to fire this asswipe.

I don’t personally like Hillary’s voting record and I will not vote for her in the primaries, but Beck went way over the line this time.

  18. Alberto Gonzales says:

I don’t much care for Beck but I can’t find it VERY hard to defend Clinton.

    Sorry, but she’s a 2 faced liar.

What is it today? Will she pull troops out of Iraq, or keep them there if elected. What will it be tomorrow?

I guess it depends on whether she’s speaking to AIPAC members or the general public.

  19. jeff says:

I can’t remember the last time I watched CNN. And I love news stories. Anyone here watch this dude?

  20. Raven says:

Sounds like Glenn’s got crush on Hillary…

  21. firehead says:

It’s just a matter of good cop ,bad cop.
    DEMOCRACY NOW !

  26. WC says:

What Beck is really saying is that Hillary can kick his sorry a*s up and down the road all day and is much smarter, and he can’t stand it.

Zooey, now she’s a strong, and smart woman. Heck she’s even called me to the carpet, lashed me around, and I still don’t think she’s a b*tch. Just the opposite in fact.

You however, the term b*tch is where you wake up in the morning, the term c*nt is where you st*pid miserable *ss ends up every day.

How you love to compliment yourself, Haggie.

Your nemesis, as you so quaintly call him, isn’t intimidated by anything so insignificant as yourself.

Tell us a joke about your dead baby.

  36. burro says:

Not one of the Republican enabler’s inflammatory insults is off the cuff. He sets of his little preplanned word bomb and then immediately backs off like he’s chagrined at his own scumbag self.

Republican Dreck: “I’m sorry for being such a pig. But please, America. Please. I don’t think I could do it for four years. I mean, sure the country is going to go to hell in a handbasket, but could we make this about me for a second? I just don’t think I could take it from her.” He also said that “there is a range in women’s voices that experts say is just the chalk, I mean, the fingernails on the blackboard.”

He’s just doing his best Republican Coulter. And he’s not changing anyone’s mind. Anybody who appreciates what he does already thinks like he does and is pretty much irredeemable. They were there before Republican Dreck showed up and they’ll be there when he’s gone.

He strokes his schtick to offend and inflame. And it works like a charm. Republican Dreck is like Springer except he’s both the circus master and the farting bear on a bike. And when he farts, his crowd roars with laughter and approval. Inside, it seems like a big show. From outside, it’s just a tent full of idiots in a giant parking lot.

If CNN and ABC stopped getting tons of appalled attention from Republican Dreck, he would soon be useless to them. They’d be pissed if he went soft. Really, the more completely every one of the insult pigs could be ignored and just pigonholed as the self contrived hatemongers that they are, the sooner they could be lumped in someone like David “White Power” Duke and just classified as a unabashed and predicatable hater.

Would CNN and ABC give David “White Power” Duke a show? I doubt it though it may have crossed their minds. David “White Power” Duke is defined. He’s accepted for what he is on all sides. And the sooner that his hating brethern and sistern like Republican Dreck, Republican Coulter, Republican Savage and Republican Malkin are tarred with the exact same brush, the easier it will be to isolate them and their hate filled audience.

As you well know and refuse to understand, Haggie, is that I know you don’t have ANY children. No parent could tell a story like you told, in the tone you told it, and USE her surviving child in such a manner. It would simply be too devastating. Give it a rest.

  64. Roger_Roger says:

#18 Clinton isn’t against the war at all. I think she is very clear on this point.

Lets review so recent Hillary Quotes to clear up her stance on Iraq going forward:

“There are remaining vital national security interests in Iraq that would require a continuing deployment of American troops.”

“The United States’ security would be undermined if parts of Iraq turned into a failed state that serves as a petri dish for insurgents and Al Qaeda. It is right in the heart of the oil region and it is directly in opposition to our interests, to Israel’s interests.”

“Coalition capabilities, including keeping force levels stable, keeping resources and operations stable, remain an essential stabilizing element in Iraq.”

These days, that is as pro Iraq war as it comes in my book. It is amazing that a pro war canidate is leading the polls for the Dem party however. Furthermore, it floors me that TP supports her so much. I understand this site is all funded by Clinton buddies and all, but how can they put up an anti war post right next to pro HIllary posts over and over? The hypocracy is very clear on this one. In that same interview she even went on to state she would leave at least 75,000 troops in Iraq indefinetly. Maybe the Dem party is switching to a pro Iraq war policy. I mean, they are voting yes to extend the war with all the money Bush is asking for (like $100 billion).

  65. ValiantVenusGrewFromUranus says:

Roger_Roger, move along you old coward. Hillary said we should reduce the troops – and focus only on Al Qaeda related activities. Like your *opinion* or *disinformation* is anything more than a swiftboat. Just because all of your friends are as deranged and retarded as you are, don’t think we are *sshole!

Tell me Roger_Roger – why do you hate america so much, and support the Terrorists? Are you another one of those Terrorist sympathizers that donates to the GOP?

Fcuk off you stupid old fool!

  66. Bluestocking says:

Just remember what BITCH stands for, Beck…

    Babe

    Herself

Mind you, I have some doubts in my own mind whether Hillary is truly in total control of herself…but considering that many neoconservatives like Beck seem to think that women should stick to “kinder, kuche, and kirche”, “bitch” isn’t quite the insult that Beck thinks it is. Personally, if my only choices are being a bitch or being a doormat, then I don’t even have to think about it…I’ll very gladly be a bitch!

  69. ChildrenofLir says:

Hilary is obviously pandering to the AIPAC money. And it is bizarre that Dems and TP would basically support her nebulous talk-tough militaristic strategy, in light of what is really happening in Iraq as described by someone who is actually there – Patrick Cockburn is living in a Shia neighborhood and he describes the descent into civil war. What a fantasy world Hilary and the rest live in up there on Capital Hill.

“Baghdad has broken up into a dozen different cities at war with each other. Walls are covered with slogans in black paint saying “Death to Spies”. Any Shia caught in a Sunni district will be killed as a spy or because of his religion and vice versa. Each side has its checkpoints where armed men in civilian clothes casually ask drivers for their identity cards. They wave to one side those they suspect of being of the opposite religion who are then interrogated, tortured and killed. The checkpoints are difficult to avoid because they suddenly spring up without any advance warning. Some 30 to 50 bodies, often mutilated, are picked by the police every day.”

Roger, were you always a prissy little b*tch? Or did you develop that trait with your senility?

  74. Roger_Roger says:

Honestly, if I was so hardcore “paid” righty guy, I should be supporting HIllary and begging you folks to nominate her. She getting nominated is the best chance the repugs have for winning in 08′. Her name on the ticket would bring out the conservatives in droves and keep many libs at home on election day. In reality, I would like a chance to vote for Obama or Gore if he runs. Just enjoy informing you all to the real Hillary, the pro Iraq war HIllary.

  75. ChildrenofLir says:

Bush is warmongering. There’s a new country on the radar to bomb every month. Hillary is not equivalent to this.

That’s where we disagree, she is better. She’s already pointed to setting an appropriate *scope* of the mission, and reducing troop levels. She isn’t Bush, and that kind of over the top rhetoric is not productive. It’s like when all of the Nader whacks claimed that Bush and Gore would be the *same*. It’s utter b*llsh*t.

  94. valiant venus says:

Michael – If you disagree with a Leftist position – you are thought to be an idiot by a “tolerant” Leftist – a true oxymoron if there ever was one. Most (not all!) are defined by some. or all of the following: their hatred for conservatives, their envy of others, their guilt at their good-fortune, their sympathy for our enemies and the loathing they have for their country. They would willingly give up their American citizenship to be a member of the UN Global Community. They care not that most UN programs are highly unsuccessful – forget results, it’s the thought that counts. They have an ignorantly mistaken notion that our enemies can be appeased and “peace” achieved. The ONLY religion they worry about “offending” is Islam.

They clamor to impose higher tax rates – let them pay as much as they want in taxes. They make sociological and psychological excuses for evil and blame “society” for bad personal choices. So as you see, we must have pity on them – they suffer an angst that is pitiful.

This discussion kind of reminds me of 1969 and 70. After work I would walk uptown in Manhattan to Rockefeller Center. There along Fifth Avenue, office workers would gather and discuss the war in small clumps. You could walk from one group to the next and voice your opinion. The war was getting worse, it had already been going on for 5 or 6 years full blast. And the middle class professionals were starting to get revolutionized.

THis time now reminds me of that time. The middle class professionals are starting to wake up and realize it’s up to them to stop this thing.

Presiding over *wars* is not the same as war mongering – that’s your *first* clue. Bush and company are constantly trying to pick a fight – no, and I do mean *no* Democratic administration has been war mongering in this fashion. So just cool it. You don’t know what the hell you’re talking about! Let me guess, you’re one of those *geniuses* that supported Nader for President, and claimed the Dems and Repugs were the same. Get a clue indeed! 107. Roger_Roger says:

I think what disturbs me the most these days is watching dem canidates always act more like conservatives to get elected while we watch repugs always try to act more like a lib to get elected. What happened to people actually having opinions and standing up for them? Currently, all they do is taste the political wind and say what they hope the audience in front of them wants to hear. It is just so sad that even some here seem to be ok with that. Hillary and McCain are the 2 worst. Either one could easily be mistaken for a Dem or a Repug depending on their audience.

  108. ChildrenofLir says:

Guiliani – no you don’t want to vote for him. For one thing, he’s in such deep denial it’s a tragedy. While he was mayor, he was divorcing his wife who was still living in Gracie Mansion, the Mayor’s mansion with their children, while Guiliani had his girlfriend living with him at the other end of Gracie Mansion.

I can’t tell you how sickening that was, not that he was getting divorced, but that he had no respect for his family. And he claims to uphold family values.

So what are G.O.P. leaders thinking as their flagship mayor, Rudy Giuliani of New York City, risks damaging his children by publicly berating their mother and declaring his eternal love for a woman not his wife? On Friday his kids and the other 1.5 million children in the five boroughs awoke to tabloids screaming RUDY AND JUDI 4 EVER after Giuliani defended his girlfriend Judith Nathan in the wake of a PEOPLE magazine story. * Republican Mayor Jeffrey Kyle Randall was sentenced to 275 days in jail for molesting two boys — ages ten and 12 — during a six-year period.

    * Republican County Board Candidate Brent Schepp was charged with molesting a 14-year old girl and killed himself three days later.

    * Republican Congressman Mark Foley abruptly resigned from Congress after “sexually explicit” emails surfaced showing him flirting with a 16-year old boy.

    * Republican executive Randall Casseday of the conservative Washington Times newspaper pleaded guilty to soliciting sex from a 13-year old girl on the internet.

To be sad or tormented you would have to have feelings and a conscience. V V is the sociopathic type, who has no feelings or believes feelings to be fraudulent. A person who does not trust his/her own mind or heart. A sick individual, probably sickened by a sick parent. Hence my question – Was it the mother who was a bitch, or the pedophiliac father that caused the problem?

    “Weird question:

That is not a weird question, David. The fact of the matter is that there is no equivalent.

Some think “bastard” is the equivalent, but of course it isn’t. Both “bastard” and “bitch” are male pejoratives and both denigrate women. Bastard = Son of a Bitch, both of which are meant to shame/harm women.

Men who came up with and use those terms, like Glenn Beck, exhibit sociopathic behaviors and are dangerous to all women. Such men and their hatred of women are why we have had to pass rape laws.

My advice to all women is to stay away from Beck and his ilk for their own safety.

The fact that most folks who label themselves “conservative” (including the trolls on Think Progrssive threads) think there is nothing wrong with what Beck says, would indicate that they fall in the category of “Beck and his ilk,” and should be avoided by all women at all costs. These are very dangerous people who spend their lives doing other people harm, especially women.

So instead of insulting one woman he chooses to label a whole demographic. Let’s see, when he was smoking his bong in front of his children he probably thought his wife was a bitch. And this is the guy you want to get your news from, go ahead.

  285. Timbo says:

I don’t go to him for news. He’s not news. He’s social commentary. There’s a difference. His comedy bits and parodies (thanks mostly to his producer Stu) are funnier and more clever than anyone, left or right, on radio. Besides, he’s not LABELING a whole demographic. He’s referring to a demographic that has been STEREOTYPICALLY labeled! Consistency should have you on his side as far as that goes! haha

Oh well, can’t expect to find logic or intelligent analysis from liberals (just ask Rosie – upset and BLAMING the U.S. for Khalid Shaikh Mohammed’s confessions) so I’m done here.

That’s 100% subjective. I neither think she sounds unappealing nor “bitchy.” She’s not even a candidate I’m excited about, but I find her to be a pretty compelling speaker, just from the ability to speak and tone of voice, not even considering content. So what does that say? It depends on the listener.

I’d really like to see the scientific scale for “vocal bitchiness.” That’d be rich.

INDEED! This was a clear attempt to not only find a way to insult her without tackling ANY issues, but to diminish ALL women as potential presidential candidates since they may, at times, not act “traditionally feminine” at all times. However, if they did fit the “Mrs. Cleaver” role, they would, in turn, be insulted by detractors as not being tough enough for the job. It’s a no-win situation for females. This is why this type of insult needs to recognized and called out for what it is: hate speech. Does Beck have a right to say it? Yes. Do we have a right to call him out on it and tell other people how sexist it is? Absolutely!!

I may not like the language in some of the posts you have cited. However, the big difference is that these posts are reaching a much smaller audience than Glenn Beck on CNN and the posters are not being paid big bucks (in fact, they’re paid nothing) for their comments. I still vaguely remember the days of newscasters and commentators like Cronkite, Brinkley, etc. who spoke with dignity and didn’t use schoolyard insults.

  294. CC says:

Sorry, Lora. With all the filth on this thread, it didn’t occur to me that you might actually be making a serious comment expecting a civil answer. I don’t view Beck as a peer for Cronkite or Brinkley. Although I disagree with their politics, they were always dignified on the air. I see Beck as the conservative alternative to Bill Maher.
