Former Sen. George Allen (R-VA) ‘will host a private dinner’ to ‘discuss whether to seek’ Sen. John Warner’s (R-VA) seat should he decide to retire, the Washington Times reports. ‘Speculation of late also had Mr. Allen considering a run for Virginia governor in 2009, a post he also previously held.’

March 15th, 2007 at 10:22 amI sincerely hope that Macaca’s deflated ego forces him to run for Warner’s seat. He was so helpful in getting us a Democratic Senator in 2006, I cant wait to be from a “red” state that has two Democratic Senators. Macaca is the best thing we have going for us in expanding our majority in the Senate in 2008. I say “bring em on” Macaca. Damn I want that loser to lose a second time.
March 15th, 2007 at 10:25 amI thought we got rid of this guy. # 2 I do agree with you as this guy should lose again. Bring it on.
March 15th, 2007 at 10:30 amPlease oh please run, run. You’ll win, really. People love you. You were just misunderstood.
March 15th, 2007 at 10:31 amIn fact if you don’t run people will think you’re a wimp.
MACACCA’S NEED NOT APPLY! Macacca’s goose is already cooked.
March 15th, 2007 at 10:31 amI’ll bet he keeps replaying his political career in and endless loop in his mind.
Yup. Sittin’ there in his secret room, wearing his reproduction Confederate Army uniform, with a deer head on his lap, his KKK hood lovingly displayed under glass, a mint julep at the ready.
Rosebud……..rosebud…….Maaaaa caaaaa caaaa………
March 15th, 2007 at 10:32 amThat is about as funning as the current Repugnicant line up for Presidency.
March 15th, 2007 at 10:36 amMust be some pretty potent tabaccy he’s chewing on these days….
March 15th, 2007 at 10:39 amThe governor in VA only serves one term, so unless the law changes, he can forget about that.
March 15th, 2007 at 11:02 amIsn’t there a saying about giving a guy enough rope…?
March 15th, 2007 at 11:04 amIs this the guy who’s Grandmother is Al Sharpton?
March 15th, 2007 at 11:05 amPatrick1 is a full bottle of trucker-pee thrown out on the interstate.
Now what’s with Macaca boy? Seems he is like many of his friends, just can’t give it up.

March 15th, 2007 at 11:14 am‘Macaca’ to rise again?
God, I hate having racist reflux. Somebody get me some Prilosec.
March 15th, 2007 at 11:19 amHeh, seeing him lose again might almost make up for Lieberman.

March 15th, 2007 at 11:24 amCitizens of Virginia are stupid to even consider voting for Macaca Allen ever again. He must never be elected again > PERIOD.
March 15th, 2007 at 11:38 amSomewhere in Virginia Mark Warner is jumping for joy.
Cynicalgirl (#9) just to clarify, Virginia doesn’t allow consecutive terms for a governor, but you can be governor as many times as you wish, just not consecutivly.

Still couldn’t get lucky.
March 15th, 2007 at 11:43 amAllen can run for Governor again. You just can’t serve two terms in a row. Mark Warner (more popular former governor) is said to be considering running for VA Governor in 2009 – assuming he’s not VP, or the distinguished Junior Senator from Virginia.

You are correct.
March 15th, 2007 at 11:54 amMacaca “Half-Jew” Allen wants to run for the Senate? I guess we’ll have to scurry and find some real bad shit on the fella. That shouldn’t be all that hard, really. He practically makes it happen, all by himself.

It would be a great “open-mike” night, if it weren’t so frickin’ sad.
March 15th, 2007 at 12:08 pmBring him on! Let him get the 08 Nomination for, dare I say it, President of the United States…
March 15th, 2007 at 12:36 pm#24- I know. But, “we have to go to war with the weapons we have”. -heh-
March 15th, 2007 at 12:37 pmSpeculation is that Mark Warner will run for John Warner’s seat if John (who is 80, but who shows no sign of wanting to step down) decides he doesn’t want to run again. Mark Warner’s first campaign was against John Warner, and Mark lost, then ran for governor here.
Mark Warner left office in 2005 extremely popular. In canvassing for Tim Kaine in 2005, I’d go into heavily GOP precincts and find no sympathy for Jerry Kilgore (GOP candidate), some interest in Tim Kaine, and virtually every usually reliable GOP voter saying wistfully, “I wish Mark Warner could run again.” In 2006, when he declined to run against Allen, it was a real blow to the Virginia Democrats. Warner had a 70 percent or better approval rating when he left office. He would have beaten Macaca-man like a rug. It might be closer in 2008, but Mark Warner would start as a huge favorite and Allen would start with a huge pile of dirt ready to be thrown on top of him.
March 15th, 2007 at 1:04 pmOnce they get a taste of the easy money it’s hard to keep them out of politics.
March 15th, 2007 at 1:34 pmI sincerely hope that Macaca’s deflated ego forces him to run for Warner’s seat. Haha, joke’s on you!
Virginia will be a blue state by then. :)
March 15th, 2007 at 1:57 pmNice try hatemongers, but Jim Webb has a NEGATIVE approval rating according to SurveyUSA. VA voters understnad they were duped and will vote Allen back in.
March 15th, 2007 at 2:21 pmI doubt that Allen could get elected again. The hyper-partisanship that he brought in with him resulted in a gridlocked General Assembly and a budget crisis. There’s a reason VA has elected two Dems in a row…
March 15th, 2007 at 2:40 pmTo the tune of “La Cucaracha(The Cockroach–VERY FITTING!)”:
“MACACA Allen, MACACA Allen
CAN’T RUN FOR OFFICE ANYMORE
Because it doesn’t have, because it lacks
Marijuana to SMOKE AT THE POLLING DOOR!
MACACA Allen, MACACA Allen
CAN’T RUN FOR OFFICE ANYMORE
Because it doesn’t have, because it lacks
A LEG TO STAND ON–THAT STUPID PUTA WHORE!
MACACA Allen, MACACA Allen
CAN’T RUN FOR OFFICE ANYMORE
Because JIM WEBB GAVE HIS BIG KEESTER A WHUPPIN’ KICKIN’
AND THREW Allen RIGHT OUT THE POLITICAL DOOR!!!!!”
CHA CHA CHA!!!!! HAH!!!!!
March 15th, 2007 at 3:43 pmSurveyUSA.com? Are you kidding me?
March 15th, 2007 at 4:26 pmAllen might run for governor again. That would make some sense. The Republicans’ Party lacks really good candidates for governor, since the one or two they have are wingnut types, and there’s only one or two centerist Democrats who might have statewide appeal. If Allen is aiming to rebuild a career, that’s what he’ll need to do. Given that he’s pretty much never done anything in his whole life except run for office, that’s what I think he WILL do. If he goes up against Mark Warner, he won’t get the money, won’t get the support, and will get tarred with the Bush-sychophant label. Again, if the only person who can keep Mark Warner from John Warner’s senate seat is John Warner. And, if Mark runs, George won’t. Because, being a two-time loser would mean he had to go get a real job somewhere.
March 15th, 2007 at 4:37 pmGreat!
Get ol’ Tobacco Juice back in the ring so he can get his racist, lying ass kicked all over again. Get out the popcorn!
