We should really stop taking these polls – they only serve the function of letting the world know the high percentage of the American people who either don’t have a clue or are certifiably insane.
Bush’s approval rating is at 30% and who are the “conservatives” on Meet the Press to support the failed policy in Iraq? Resident disgraced losers Tom Delay and Richared Perle. And the GOP wonders why things are so screwed up.
I have said it before; these are the 30% of the individuals in this country who either have a bank account as large as Bush or an IQ as low as Bush.
No intelligent middle class individual in this country could possibly support this lying, thieving, murdering, corrupt moron that is the current occupier of the WH!
Only 30% still back the failed Bush administration, but the failed platform still controls ~90% of the media. We will never get this country fixed until we correct the problem with the press. And, we are making absolutely no progress in this area.
Sure, blogs like this are a good change, but they don’t fix the 90%. Only legislation will fix the media.
Hey, only 5 percent of evangelicals would vote against a divorced candidate. Funny. Since evangelicals get divorced, divorce isn’t all that bad, it seems, even though it’s clearly forbidden in the Bible (you guys remember the infallible word of God, right?).
The 30% are either Texans or off shore bank account holders who adhere to capitalism like it were a religion. The rest of us just get by!

I live in Texas and it never ceases to amaze me the things these idiots say. I even had a student call me a “demon democrat.” She is only a high school sophmore and cannot answer ONE question when asked about political events. Gee, I wonder where she got the idea that aI was a demon?
You can’t like your chances when your point of view is presented by disgraced ex-Congressman Tom Delay and leading neocon cheerleader Richard Perle who said that there would be a “George W. Bush Boulevard” running through Baghdad some day. Do you need any more proof we are watching the end of the GOP?
What a disgrace to watch a man who’s career as a decades political hack and before that a bug exterminator try tell a retired Admiral that he was un-patriotic.
That 30% believes the earth is flat, dinosaurs were on Noah’s ark and that George Bush’s brain could power a light-bulb longer than a potato.
Delay is indicted – why is he on MTP?
Legitimizing the likes of him serves to foster the misguided thinking of the idiots, morons and illiterates who make up the 30% of Bush supporters.
H.L.Mencken said…”For every Problem there is a solution that is SIMPLE, NEAT, and WRONG”. That pretty much describes BUSH. HE may be a regular, brush cutting, fun to have a beer with guy…but he has been a disaster for America, our Military, and Ironically his own political Party.
With a certain regularity, I send an email to mtp@msnbc.com to offer my opinion. (which I am sure they eagerly anticipate)
Today was no exception – why did they give face time to the indicted Delay? Why do they ignore the majority in the nation and continue to favor the Bush sycophants as guests?
Russert – the supposed tough and credible interviewer – is made a fool by the White House and yet he continues to lie down and roll over for them. His loyalty is surely to his corporate owners, and not the public’s need to know the news.

Tim Russert is one of the 30%. Always has been and always will be. It really amazes me that he still carries water for the Republics and Bush. He was exposed in the Libby trial as the administrations favorite “go to” person. He is proving that is what he is. The man has no shame. I often wonder how these people sleep at night.
I just heard Tom Delay on Meet the Press. One of his “points” was that things weren’t going so well in Iraq was because we were involved in “A NEW kind of War”. That proves to me that he has learned NOTHING from the Viet Nam War…. a civil war , where we couldn’t tell the civilians from the enemy, and where the Support of the American People was lost.
Libbys, we are at war. Even if you disagree with the President on some issues, you should at least respect him.

It is unbelievable that 30% of America is either filthy rich or crazy lunatic.
The second category is of two types. One who believe that Bush is preparing world for the second coming of Christ. In all seriousness some of them actually think Bush may well himself be the Christ. The second type of lunatics think Lincoln is the President.

Respect goes both ways, fireant. GWB does not respect the American people. He could at least do that for his country, it doesn’t seem that much to ask.
Sorry, folks, but single poll results like this latest “30%” are almost worthless by themselves.
Charles H. Franklin* has been tracking a whole slew of polls. So far this year, individual polls have put Bush approval ratings anywhere between 28% and 42%. Franklin’s “trend estimate”, however, puts Bush at 34.9% — up slightly from a record or near-record low a month ago.
I’d rather watch Franklin’s blue line snaking up and down from month to month than get all excited over a single 30 — which is sure to be contradicted soon anyway by a 28, 35, or 42 from somewhere else.
A year ago, by the way, Franklin addressed the question, “How low can presidential approval fall? Is there some natural lower limit below which it cannot go?” If, as I suspect, Bush is somewhere near that limit now, then additional poll numbers aren’t likely to tell us much except that his core supporters are still supporting him and he’s lost pretty much everyone else.

Death Toll Hits ‘Million’
Updated: 16:38, Sunday March 18, 2007 The number of deaths in Iraq since the start of the conflict could be as high as one million, according to a new estimate.
An Australian scientist published the figure using four sets of independent data, including information from the United Nations Children’s Fund and the UN’s population division, as well as medical literature.
Dr Gideon Polya’s figure is far higher than the previous biggest estimate of 655,000.
“Using the most comprehensive and authoritative literature, and UN demographic data yields an estimate of one million post-invasion excess deaths in Iraq,” he said.
A spokesman for the Stop The War Coalition said the figure was “astonishing”.
He added: “Four years after the start of the conflict in Iraq we can now see what a disaster the war has been.
“Everything that the Stop The War movement predicted would happen has taken place – but it has been far worse than we feared.”……
Libbys, we are at war. Even if you disagree with the President on some issues, you should at least respect him.
