I hope I am aruging this with a sane person. You sound a little out there as you aren’t even making sense. Nasa has nothing to do with Stem Cell research. One people are morally against and it can be done by the private sector. The other one morals don’t apply and can’t be done at that level from the private sector.

oh yeah, i forgot how scientists are all loaded and can do whatever research they want.

Also, why are “we” funding NASA? It doesn’t say anywhere in the bible about space exploration and other worlds. does it? That goes against the Bible, right?

While we get pushed around by the religious right, America will continue to fall back into the stone ages. i think that is what the r.r. want.

Exactly what i would expect from a liberal – abortion is wrong! Stem cells are as bad as abortion! If god wanted us born with that knowledge he would have created us that way. Dems are just playing god.

what?!? who are you to assume what “god” had in mind in the first place? He “gave ” us the intelligence of science- for the betterment of mankind… according to your book.
I don’t know why I waste my time writing these rebuttals- these trolls are such douche b@gs… And paid by the GOP to aggitate and create the illusion of agreeance with their warped biblical views that they want to spread across our country.

Again, I would personally fight very hard against government if they tried to pass a law banning private companies from this type of research as it is very important medically. I am equally against the government forcing this stuff on Americans when they don’t need to. What is the point when many Americans feel that it murders children? The answer is there is no point when we have a perfectly good substitute in the private sector.

Roger, are you actually THAT naive? Have you been paying attention AT ALL?? Do you know how many contractors are in Iraq at this very moment? Upwards of 100,000. Two-thirds as much as our actual # of soldiers performing activities that until the Neo-Nazis came along were performed by the American military. The private sector has ALREADY taken over most logistic functions of this war, including the un-metered theft of millions of $$$$ each day of Iraqi oil. All with no oversight or consequences. Your argument holds no validity. Additionally, no Democrat I know of (other than Lieberman, who is an “Independant”) SUPPORTS this war. Each and every Democrat in congress supports ending this disaster. THAT’S supporting the troops – getting them out of your “hero’s” meat-grinder. Perhaps if you opened your mind once in awile, instead of your bible, you would come to the same “Christian” conclusion.

Military functions are different because the private sector cannot take over the war in Iraq which is part of our military.

Tell that to Bush and Blackwater.
