A quote from one of the great leaders of the first peoples of this land - "It does not require many words to speak the truth" Chief Joseph, Nez Perce - It did not take many years for the so-called 'leaders' of the United States to drag their stolen nation to the bottom in all matters, and it did not take many years for them to destroy what was once a beautiful land, raping her and selling her beauty to anyone who was willing to pay. One more quote: "Sell a country! Why not sell the air, the great sea, as well as the Earth?" - Tecumseh - Shawnee Well the white man has been able to do just that, and they will also be selling the water. The heartless ones do not understand love - they never have and they never will. They enjoy nothing but their ill gained riches and the misery it buys for them. The Middle East is just a replay of the tragedy that befell this land, Turtle Island, and its indigenous people more than 300 years ago, and continues to this day. As long as there are the greedy ones that need to have power to destroy all that is good, this tragedy will be perpetuated. This is indeed a very strange time and will be remembered as one of the darkest times in the history of the United States. Without the internet most of what is occuring would not be brought to light -

Bush/Cheney/Rove have acted/reacted they are throwing a temper tantrem, it is time for the adults in Congress to take charge. The disregard for humanity and destruction to our country among other nations demands action. Americans should be very interested in what these USAs were prosecuting, there should be no cover-ups, lies, spins or failure to search for the truth and justice anymore. Specter has covered up enough crimes for the elite and fellow politicians (or himself).

BTW, Gonzales can say he is sorry till he is blue in the face but until he is willing to bring down the pedophiles at the very top of the rings, he's all show. It only reminds me of the Franklin Credit Union cover-up back when Reagan-BUSH, SR. was in the White House.

Has everyone forgotten that Bush and Cheney and co. got away with this when summoned before the farcical 9/11 Commission? The deal they arranged was for a closed room, no transcript, no oath, ....and so much more....

If you don't remember, read today's blog at TVNL:

i find Bush's comments interesting and ironic.

The framers of the Constitution understood this vital role when developing the separate branches of government. And if the staff of a President operated in constant fear of being hauled before various committees to discuss internal deliberations, the President would not receive candid advice, and the American people would be ill-served.

This of course is the same group who authorized warrent less searches, wiretaps, open your mail etc. all to combat terrorists. and when civil liberties were questioned and the constiution was brought up. Their reply was the Framers did not consider these issues and if you have done nothing wrong you should not be in fear.

What does Bush fear to have these people raise their right hand and say ..I swear....

Hey howsad:

Where did you go to law school? Pepperdine?

Maybe you should re-read your notes on the doctrine of separation of powers. There is absolutely nothing in there that precludes one branch from demanding answers to legitimate questions from another branch especially when the one being questioned has encroached on the other two branches by attempting to nullify laws passed by the legislature and passing sentences on people who have not been availed of the legal machinery to defend themselves.

If you are an attorney I'm sure your good at what you do because spinning lies into believable scenarios is especially important at times.

However, the rest of us feel some sort of allegiance to certain oaths and obligations as officers of the court.

And if you are a teacher of law students (God help us) please don't spew this tripe as established fact.

I think your medications are in the cabinet. You might want to discard the LSD and skip the mushrooms.

I do not know why, but I'm beginning to believe shane and howsad are one and the same.

Same level of discourse, the name-calling, shane calling howsad 'little troll' and howsad calling shane 'little shane', same amount of spelling and grammar mistakes, both like to use the word 'wow'.

Effective thread hijacking though. Probably turns some people off to this site's forum.

howsad: "Honestly, I do not understand how any woman could support Bill Clinton."

That's not surprising. I'm guessing there are a few things you don't understand about women. But really, give women some credit. I'm sure most voting women are smart enough to prefer a philanderer who favors public policy good for women to a monk who favors public policy bad for women.
