119 I have heard this argument for several decades. The problem is I have never seen it proven true. Each time an environmental law has been passed it has resulted in new industries and huge growth to our economy. Sure some businesses may lose some of their profit margin but those losses will go towards creating jobs. IN the long and short term environmental legislation boosts the economy every time.
