Gonzales: I’m Staying For The Kids»

Attorney General Alberto Gonzales announced this morning: “I’m not going to resign. I’m going to stay focused on protecting our kids.” Speaking before a Project Safe Childhood event, Gonzales told reporters he plans “to go up to the Congress and provide further clarification” about the U.S. Attorney purge, and claimed that his department has been “tremendous in the area of public corruption.” Watch it:

Gonzales’ declaration that he intends to stay “focused on protecting our kids” comes as he launches a cross-country PR tour to save his job:

“CBS News has learned Attorney General Alberto Gonzales will take to the road to fight for his job, spending the next week traveling the country to see as many US Attorneys as he can. One source says he’ll apologize not for firing eight of their colleagues but for the way he handled it. [Gonzales] will start his mea culpa tour tomorrow in St. Louis.” [CBS Evening News, 3/21/07]

“A day after Bush gave his attorney general a vote of confidence, Gonzales appeared to be launching a campaign to save his job by repairing relations with prosecutors in the field and reaching out to political supporters. His office released a dozen testimonials from Latinos and law enforcement groups, with many saying that Gonzales, the first Latino attorney general, was being unfairly held accountable for the fiasco.” [LA Times, 3/22/07]

“Embattled Attorney General met this afternoon with several Republican Senators, including Orrin Hatch, Jon Kyl, John Cornyn and Jeff Sessions, GOP sources said. The lunch meeting held at the Department of Justice, sources said, was initiated by Gonzales. A source familiar with the meeting says it was an attempt by Gonzales to reach out to Republicans who have been decidedly unhappy with how he has handled the US Attorney mess.” [ABC, 3/21/07]

Transcript:

GONZALES: I’m not going to resign. I’m going to stay focused on protecting our kids. There’s a lot of work that needs to be done around the country. The department is responsible for protecting our kids, for making our neighborhoods safe, for protecting our country against attacks of terrorism, to going after gangs, going after drug dealers. I’m staying focussed on that.

Q: General, you were kept out of the loop on the U.S. Attorney firings. Can you still be an effective attorney general?

GONZALES: I think if you look at the record of the department over the past two years it has been tremendous in the area of public corruption, in the area of civil rights enforcement, in the area of going after child pornographers. And so the record of the department has been extremely strong. I am committed to work with Congress to make sure that they have the information that they need to determine what happened here. At the end of the day, we have a situation that the President of the United States has the authority to hire and to fire United States Attorneys. I’m going to go up to the Congress and provide further clarification about what happened here. We are working with Congress voluntarily. No United States Attorney was fired for improper reasons. That’s the message that I’m going to deliver to the United States Congress. Thank you.

So rather than 3/23 we can expect 3/30 to be his resignation day? I hope he gets his travel voucher submitted before he leaves.

  2. DaryllsGayLover Says:

He and Foley are starting a special “task force”. I wouldn’t trust any of these idiots around ANY kids. they’ll grow up like Hitler, Bush, McVeigh, Jake, Roger, Patrick, Firepants… and so on, and so on…

  3. Jake Says:

    WOO HOO!!!

  4. big papa Says:

    hahahahahahahahahahaha!!!!

…what is HE gonna molest ‘em now?

  5. JesusChrist_GodofWAR Says:

So… is this initiative of Gitmo Abu Gonzo in full ReichWing alignment with the Mark Foley Children Plan?

These people have no integrity and no honor. They willfully place the Constitution in danger for their own “glory” and greed.

    ITMFA now!!!

  6. powkat Says:

Most despicable is Gonzales implying that he is a target because he is Hispanic. Ruben Navarrette has a disgusting column accusing the Democrats of pursuing this because of racial bias. This is now the penultimate refuge of a scounrel.

  7. dlet Says:

claimed that his department has been “tremendous in the area of public corruption.”

He left out a qualifier there. Let me fill it in…..”tremendously bad”

  8. VerbalKint Says:

    What a Jake.

  9. tom baker Says:

did he cry? was he holding a puppy as a “canine shield”?

Hey Gonzo - you mean the Iraqi kids that have been tortured into insanity thanks to your “good work” for your Master??????

  10. ueberbill Says:

“Tremendous in the area of public corruption”? Sure has, you putz.

  11. firehead Says:

Liberals DESTROYED again. He won’t resign. But you punks keep getting back up.

This is like Rocky 1, “stay down libs. Don’t make me pound you again.”

  12. AboveTheClouds Says:

Gonzales will stay for the “kids” but not the rule of law, honesty, or integrity. Please do take note trolls–Gonzales and Rove are trashing the Republican Party and all you do is cheer them on. Just remember Gonzales and Rove as the GOP is swept out of office in 2008.

  13. JesusChrist_GodofWAR Says:

No. I think Gitmo Abu Gonzo is staying for the martial law!

    [from: http://www.inteldaily.com/?c=117&a=1431 ]

…In October 2006, Bush signed into law the John Warner National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2007. Quietly slipped into the law at the last minute, at the request of the Bush administration, were sections changing important legal principles, dating back 200 years, which limit the U.S. government’s ability to use the military to intervene in domestic affairs. These changes would allow Bush, whenever he thinks it necessary, to institute martial law–under which the military takes direct control over civilian administration…

Nothing to see here. Move along. Emperor Bush is the Decider for all of us.

    ITMFA now!!!

  14. Bo Says:

Get his itinerary, put it on the net, and let’s make sure he gets a nice “F-you” reception everywhere he goes.

This can really be spun around quite easily so that Gonzo’s tour resembles Bush’s recent embarassment in South America.

  15. ardee Says:

    pure slimeball…

  16. Perry Logan Says:

Bush can’t afford to let him go. The wagons are encircled and the indians are clsing in.

  19. marcus robinson Says:

“The children, what will we tell the children?”. Am staying for the children my ass!!! Get to stepp’n Gonzo.

  20. R Says:

SAY, WHAT? Have you no f*ing shame, you asswipe? What a ridiculous statement to throw out there to waste out Goddamned time and energy. F* you, you limp-dicked wank! STEP DOWN, NOW!

  21. War4Sale Says:

    HAHAHAHA!!!

According to Gonzo, “the kids” don’t even have habeus rights or the protection of those “quaint” Geneva Conventions against torture.

That line is so feeble, I don’t even think Patrick will buy it!

    Sure you are……

That’s why in another thread, when refering to the Republican party, you said “we“.

    Not the Republicans, but “we“.

Now go and take your lies somewhere else….

  26. oldtree Says:

hmmm. since everything this guys says has been a lie, it would seem logical now to investigate him and issues involving children. Perhaps he is a pedophile? when you hear this kind of talk from a bushwa, it is the sign of something else entirely. expecting human emotions from these beings is so remote and unlikely, that I have grown skeptical.

  27. pgw Says:

and by kids, he means ‘loyal Bushies’

Hey (mis)firehead(upyourass) - Congratulations! Your posts are 100% buzzword-compliant and your signal-to-noise ratio totally sucks. According to the Rovian handbook of debate - that is the way it should always be. I’m sure your handler will be very pleased and you will be richly rewarded. Heckuva job!

  32. AboveTheClouds Says:

Since you are an “Independent” you must be upset with the outome for your candidate Ralph Nader in the 2004 Presidential election. “Independent” is a chickenshit dodge for hacks who also can themselves “libertarians” who spout the neocon talking points at the same time keeping their distance–hiding behind their “independence”–from the unprincipled and immoral Bush Administration.

The only destroyed over this is Bush’s humiliating approval rating, have you seen it lately? I’m actually happy Gonzo hasn’t resigned yet. Every day he stays, Bush loses more of the little credibility he has left. How many Republicans do you think will call on Gonzo to resign this week?

p.s. My God you are an ignoramus, Cleetus.

  35. pgw Says:

“Even if you were a registered Democrat, you are still a troll.”

true. and doesn’t “registering” as an independent defeat the purpose of being, ya know, independent.

  36. Patrick1 Says:

Good for him..”for the children”…LOL..the old Clinton line, I love it!

  37. Gerald Gibson Jr Says:

Using children as a humn shield… now that is integrity… and a common transparent political ploy.

  38. Jake Says:

Thanks for the info, Robert. I will try not to post “WOO HOO!!” anymore.

    RemoveBush:

In no thread have I referred to the Republican party as “we“ — you may be referring to a post where I was very specific that “we” included Democracts, Republicans, Independents, and all good Americans who thought Bill Clinton should have been removed from office — you guys have yet to prove that Bush lied under oath or obstructed justice, for instance.

  39. tom baker Says:

Fireant is giving us a glimpse of the violent internal world of his personality. He’s one I’d totally bet on to show up in the news for killing his wife or in-laws or co-workers.

Deranged male revenge fantasies, fueled by chuck norris movies and gun shows and rush limbaugh, until one day it all just gets to be too much, and someone’s gotta pay, right fireant????

Some of these trolls are just a few steps away from that kind of fame - like the Coulter fan who mailed the fake anthrax - if he’d gotten away with that, he’d have been one step closer to going out “hunting” to “save America” from the “fags” or some such…

    flippin sickies

  40. Dumb_Fox Says:

We are working with Congress voluntarily.

Yeah, AFTER you were busted planning to bypass Congress by abusing the Patriot Act.

  41. Jake Says:

I didn’t vote for that wacko Ralph Nader. I am also a conservative. The last true “Independent” who was also conservative running for President was John Anderson.

    No.

  44. St. Louis Cynic Says:

  55. TripMaster Monkey Says:

    Jake sez:

How exactly is it an “abuse” of the Patriot Act to do something specifically allowed by the Patriot Act?

What do you think the purpose of the PATRIOT Act was, Jake?

Once you answer that, please tell us how the firings of these attorneys dovetails with that purpose.

Once you realize that can’t be done, you’ll have answered your own question.

  56. VerbalKint Says:

In the screen capture above, Gonzales has the same head-half-cocked smirk that Bush gets when he is lying in a particularly mendacious way. It is the look of a 16 year old repeat f*ck up after just having told a pro forma lie to an adult that he knows won’t be believed.

Jake…. You really should be careful about what you deny!!!! And now the PROOF!!!!

    Jackie Rawlings:

All those who voted for him to stay are really saying all the criminals that lied under oath should be released because lying under oath isn’t a crime.

Now you know how we felt after Clinton’s Senate acquittal. Once you get Bush lying under oath, let me know.

  59. Jake Says:

    pgw:

How is an Independent supposed to vote then?

    alp3:

Not at all. Someone else brought up “human shields” and I was trying to make the point for lurkers out there that REAL murder, rape, etc. is worse than anything Gonzales has done.

  60. Jake Says:

    RemoveBush:

Perhaps you didn’t see the post where I said “we” included Democrats, Republicans, Independents, and ALL Americans who thought Bill Clinton should have been removed from office?

  61. VerbalKint Says:

Jake, noboby’s buying because everybody remembers that across the entire nation there were about 3 non-Republicans backing Clinton’s impeachment.

  62. slappy magoo Says:

You know what? I’m pretty sure the Justice Department will do as fine of a job, if not better, “Protecting the kids” without Gonzo around.

  63. pgw Says:

“How exactly is it an “abuse” of the Patriot Act to do something specifically allowed by the Patriot Act?”

your dependence is showing. so repub staff exploiting a provision that they slipped in at the last minute to cut the senate out of the approval process is ok with you? that’s disingenuous and/or willfully ignorant. but don’t worry, a whopping 1/3rd of the nation agrees with you.

  64. AboveTheClouds Says:

Gonzales is clearly out of his league–his Justice Department has had two months to get this right and it has devolved into an even a bigger mess than people have become accustomed to with the Bush Administration. What an odd line of command–the Attorney General reports to Karl Rove? I’m sure Karl will clear all this up at his first of several appearances and trials. Maybe not–it did take Karl 5 times before the Plame Grand Jury to get his story straight. Just remember Rove–when you tell the truth you don’t have “hazy memories” of what really happened.

  65. Zimzone Says:

    Jake,
Gonzo needs a driver for his tour.
Do you still have your license?

If he gives you the job, please drop him off in Mexico.
Mexico will then have it’s first illegal immigrant.

    Wouldn’t that be quaint!

PS: You must support torture to get the job.
    Worst. AG. Ever.

  66. Parrotlover77 Says:

Can I have government money to campaign for keeping my job if it ever gets on the chopping block?

    Just wonderin…

See kids, if you’re a Republican, morals and integrity mean nothing.

  70. Gerald Gibson Jr Says:

Dont care. We are not talking about Saddam… someday when we are ask me then.

    Nice try……

You meant what was said….. “we” did not mean anyone OTHER than the Republican party!!! That was the only people who were dissapointed!

As a TRUE independant, I was all for them Impeaching Clinton after it was discovered that he lied under oath. But I did not care either way if he was found guilty or not. Just the fact that the court went through the motions was great. After all…… This was not like Outing a CIA NOC, or starting a ILLEGAL WAR, or Presenting false evidence to the Congress, or TREASON, or the MANY other crimes this president has commited.

You can’t compare Clintons “lie” to ANYTHING this administration has done as Bush puts Satin to shame.

  74. Alberto Gonzales Says:

I will take to the road, spending the next week traveling the country to see as many US Attorneys as I can. The Persuasion Express is gassed up, the electrode batteries are charged and the water tanks are full. Let’s roll!

  75. mbbsdphil Says:

Staying for the Kids in the White House, maybe.

Alberto playing with those sad boys and girls. Makes you angry at all those adults dismayed about the DOJ’s corruption of the law.

  76. Tuber Says:

Subterfuge, diversion, and propaganda. Gonzales dishes it out and the ignorant (looking at Jake and Patrick(IQ of)1) lap it up. Yes, “for the children”. Because, as we all know, the first responsibility of the Attorney General of the United States of America is child care.

The culture of deceit and corruption that the Bush administration depends on (they didn’t invent it, but they have taken it to a level previously unimaginable) is so incredibly vile and anti-American that it is beyond belief. Those who either condone or accept this corruption- regardless of whether you are (R), (D), or (I) - are as despicable as the acts themselves and are equally as un-American.

Every parent in this nation should stand up and yell “foul”. Anyone who willingly allows Gonzales to use their children as the shield that he is doing now is as irresponsible as a parent that would hire a convicted child molester as a nanny.

Sounds harsh, but it is the reality.

  77. TripMaster Monkey Says:

    Jake sez:

Someone else brought up “human shields” and I was trying to make the point for lurkers out there that REAL murder, rape, etc. is worse than anything Gonzales has done.

It’s pretty pathetic that Jake feels that comparing Gonzo favorably to Saddam Hussein is a worthwhile argument to make.

I’m sure that if you put Jake side by side with that Hitler fellow, Jake would look like a regular prince. Doesn’t make it so, however.

A person can not be pardoned until they are convicted.

    Comment by Jake — March 22, 2007 @ 12:53 pm

Jake…. Who said HE planted the explossives????

It was a FACTION of our government, but he did not stop it. He sat there and let it happen.

Perhaps you don’t know that Air Force ONE was threatened on 9/11 by CODED LANGUAGE???? How can terrorists know the code language for AF1 (Angel)?

Since Bush did not stop or try to prevent the attacks, he is an accomplice to TREASON. This is CLEARLY defined within the Constitution. Do you not think that preventing something because he is threatened is a reason to just do nothing?????

Maybe you need to do some more research??

Fox News Sunday, 23 Sept 2001, Tony Snow: “Sept. 11 there was a report that there was a coded message that said, “We’re going to strike Air Force One” that was using specific coded language and made the threat credible. Is that true?

    • Condoleezza Rice: “That is true…. I will tell you that it was plenty of evidence from our point of view to have special measures taken at that moment to make sure the

    president was safe.”

    • http://www.washingtonpost.com/ wpsrv/ nation/ specials/ attacked/ transcripts/ foxtext092301.html

Sept. 13, 2001, White House briefing:

    • Reporter: “Can you confirm the substance of that threat that was telephoned in…that Air Force One is next and using code words?”

    • Ari Fleisher (Press secretary): “Yes, I can. That’s correct.”

    • At Sept. 26th briefing, asked again about this, Fleisher said “I’m not going to comment on any particular threats coming toward the White House.”

    • This matter needs further investigation, for such person(s) with top-secret information may still be a threat to the President and others…

    • Tarpley discusses a large body of evidence and concludes:

“The official version of 9/11 says that the attacks came out of a distant cave in Afghanistan. But it makes more sense to explore networks and agencies which have means, motive, and opportunity, as well as a track record of advocating and promoting large-scale violence.”

  92. chimpeach Says:

Then you will be getting on the BANDWAGON then to have Bush Impeached for TREASON I take it????

The evidence I provided is CLEAR that the so called “terrorists” could not have performed the attacks. The evidence provided shows that ONLY someone inside the government, at high levels, could have known the code words for AF1.

Unless you think that people living in caves can also know what our coded words are that only High level officials can know??

Since Bush was threatened, and he did not lauch a investigation IMMEDIATELY shows him to be part of the plan, either willingly or unwillingly. Therefore, HE COMMITTED TREASON against our country.

    Section 3 - Treason Note

Treason against the United States, shall consist only in levying War against them, or in adhering to their Enemies, giving them Aid and Comfort. No Person shall be convicted of Treason unless on the Testimony of two Witnesses to the same overt Act, or on Confession in open Court.

I would say that allowing an attack against the US falls well within that definition.

    Don’t you?

Sometime last week, IIRC, there were postings about a required five-year delay after conviction before a pardon could be issued, but I think the upshot was that it was a guideline and didn’t apply to Presidential pardons. In other words, like Nixon said, if the President does it it isn’t illegal.

And before the wingnuts start barking, this has been true regardless of party affiliation. The President’s right to pardon is pretty much unlimited.

  113. mrJJ Says:

Alberto Gonzales’ sudden moment in the unflattering spotlight has prompted a new look at his background

    snip

family members have repeatedly stumbled, creating a bleak counterpoint to his dazzling rise to become the nation’s first Hispanic attorney general.

Gonzales’ father was arrested for drunken driving five times in 17 years, covering much of Gonzales’ childhood and adolescence. Pablo Gonzales died in an industrial accident in 1982 when Gonzales was at Harvard Law School.

A younger brother, Rene Gonzales, died under mysterious circumstances in 1980. In 1991, the same year Alberto Gonzales became one of the first Hispanic partners at the white shoe Houston law firm of Vinson & Elkins, his younger sister Theresa pleaded guilty to possession of cocaine

with intent to deliver. Nine years later, while Gonzales was on the Texas Supreme Court, his mother and another brother signed over their houses to a bail bondsman to raise bail for Theresa after she was charged with the same offense.

Most of these details did not arise in his Senate confirmation hearings, even though they might reasonably have been thought to affect his views about crime, drug and alcohol policy, and sentencing — all issues overseen or influenced by an attorney general.

Their omissions illustrate the remarkable extent to which Gonzales, 51, has managed to control the telling of his life story and the impenetrability of his outwardly mild and friendly manner.

At this point, we cannot know if Bush has broken the law, because of the stonewalling. And yes, stonewalling happened during the Clinton years, as well. Which leads me to ask: if you thought Starr’s actions were appropriate to get past Clinton’s stonewalling, do you now call for reauthorization of the Independent Counsel statute? If you were OK with the free-ranging Starr, how could you be against appointing a special prosecutor to look at the NSA wiretapping issue? Or are you afraid of what might be uncovered, if Bush were subjected to the same tactics Starr used on Clinton?

Another detainee, Yassar al-Zahrani, was reportedly 17 when he was detained. He died in Guantánamo in June 2006, after apparently hanging himself.

Thousands of children around the world have suffered pain and distress as a result of US counter-terror policies and practices.

Some have been held in indefinite virtually incommunicado detention without charge or trial. Some have been subjected to torture or other cruel, inhuman and degrading treatment. And many others still at home are tormented by the absence of their fathers, brothers and other relatives who themselves have been subjected to indefinite detention, in many cases for years.

  129. Saywho Says:

JAKE @ some location above Jake mentioned FDR and asked if allowing the PH attack constituted TREASON. It is TRUE the Churchill made FDR aware that the attack would take place. @ the moment the US was practicing ‘isolationism’ but we could have put our ships out to sea and still went to war in the Pacific w/ out high losses at PH. So yes it was an act of treason on FDRs part. However, FDR is quite DEAD and hanging him now would not change history.

BUSH is involved w/ the Project for a New American Century and in their words, “catastrophic and catalyzing event — like a new Pearl Harbor” In this case though (9-11) there are three approximations…
    1) The Feds story is true or
    2) LIHOP = Fed let it happen on purpose or
    3) MIHOP = Fed or minions of the Fed actually did the deed.
Since #1 has issues due to conflicting testimony and that having a pretend 9-11 during a real 9-11 indicates that #2 and #3 are more probable.

Yeah, sure you do. Say, what exactly did they find out about Clinton? Did he lie in a SOTU address to gin up a phony argument for going to war? Did he threaten his own OMB accountant with termination if he told congress the true cost of legislation? Did he purposely destroy an important intelligence asset for political purposes? Did he fire federal prosecutors in the middle of embarassing investigations into his friends? Did he oversee manipulation of scientific data to help large corporate campaign donors? Did he drop the ball on the nation’s greatest threat and allow the largest terrorist attack in history? Did he or his people help steal the 2004 election in Ohio (republicans have been convicted of election fraud on this one, by the way)? I don’t remember anything like that — I remember that Clinton was impeached by the house for lying about a sexual affair and for sticking his head into his secretary’s office and asking her if repubs were treating her ok (repubs claimed this was “obstruction of justice.”)

(Link here: http://www.dailykos.com/story/2004/7/14/193750/666). These tapes have not been released to the public, due to the massive wave of revulsion this would engender. Furthermore, Gonzales himself has endorsed the policies at Abu Ghraib. (Link here: http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/4989481/). If Gonzales were truly interested in helping children, he would work to have these tapes released so that the perpetrators of these crimes could be held accountable. The cover-up by the Bush/Cheney regime, including Gonzales, makes them complicit in these crimes.

All except Jake; I guess his “independent” status just took a hit. Otherwise, he’d have chirped up and said it was ok with him if the independent counsel statute were re-authorized, for Bush.

JAKE I’m speaking to you. I’m telling these things to you so that you realize that the results of GROUP THINK are NEVER GOOD! To know that Hitler killed 6 million Jews is important but is also not the only massacre that happened.

WW2 was over and Patton freed the German POWs. IKE was furious and demanded these Germans be captured and held. In several large camps mainly in France these POWs were starved to death in muddy ditches. Shortly after Patton who survived 2 world wars died as a result of his car flipping.

Much later on IKEs letters to his wife clearly indicated that IKE “HATED” Germans and was in fact a full blown Zionist. I’m not condoning Hitler but IKE starved 11 million Germans to death. Here are some (every dot is a German)

On behalf of the kids I would like to invite Gonzo to resign because of the kids rather than stay.

Heard something REALLY disturbing (infuriating) on C-Span…

…a caller said that in the Cayman Islands…

    …there is a certain two story building…

…that is the registered address of some 22,000 corporations…

…whose uncollected (due to the offshore address) taxes…

    …just 15% mind you…

    …added up to over $100 billion dollars…

…the discussion at the time (on C-Span) was the supplemental funding bill…

    …the Democrats have proposed…

…If true, isn’t this just abominable?

…Why do RULES only apply to the “little people”?

    …Because we ACCEPT this sh*t, that’s WHY!

He sure beat it out of there in a hurry!

  164. Saywho Says:

JAKE think about why our guys are stationed in the desert?? Who is guarding the hen house if the rooster is in the desert? Will Backwater have a problem turning arms on Americans in the event of a popular uprising? Should the economy crumble the Mexican army can walk in! Wars require tactics so it looks like the IRAQ tactic is converting the Army into a camo police force of 150K till… till, till what Jake.

    Hess would be proud.

  166. Noe Says:

For anyone to suggest that Alberto Gonzales is being targetted because he is hispanic is bunch of bull. I am Mexican-American and I want this guy out of a job as soon as possible. He is doing a lot of damage to our country.

You are right on as always!!!

Democracy is an evolved feudal system, where the privileged elite (king) sometimes is benevolent to us (servants) and give us some bread from time to time (justice), but their goals, as always are to protect the interests of corporations who are run by that privileged elite. Then you f*cking czarists wonder why bolsheviks are storming the streets.

  168. margaret Says:

Sounds like Saywho isn’t afraid to face truths! My kind of person!

Saywho - I saw a documentary on the Iraq war veterans, on The Discovery Channel I think it was, the other night and some Iraq vet was saying that they’ve been trained for years to kill kill kill and then they get back home and there’s nothing for them to do… (they, veterans, were also saying that if you admit that you’re suffering from post-traumatic stress while still in Iraq then they keep you in Iraq).

Back to Gonzo - maybe he’s rushing to implement part of their agenda? That being to use child porn as an excuse to “enforce” the Internet? I don’t trust that bunch one bit!!! They have an angle for everything they do.

  169. DallasNE Says:

How ironic. Gonzales has now said that these US Attorney’s were fired because they didn’t go after child porn feverishly enough. Now we learn that one of the laws that wasn’t being enforced with enough rigor has now been struck down by the Courts as unconstitutional.

  170. War4Sale Says:

By resigning and volunteering to testify openly and under oath, Gonzo could serve as a role model for America’s kids on how government officials should conduct themselves, but then…he is a Bush Republican, so we know that will never happen.

  171. War4Sale Says:

Wait…I thought Bill O’Reilly was “The Official Defender of America’s kids (TM)”?

    What happened, Bill?!

  172. Saywho Says:
