Griles to plead guilty.

By Payson Schwin on Mar 23rd, 2007 at 11:03 am

Griles to plead guilty.

J. Steven Griles, the “former No. 2 official in the Interior Department,” today “will admit lying to the Senate about his relationship with convicted lobbyist Jack Abramoff, who succeeded in gaining the official’s intervention at the agency for his Indian tribal clients.” “He is the 10th person — and the second high-level Bush administration official — to face criminal charges in the continuing Justice Department investigation into Abramoff’s lobbying activities.”

But not the last. A previous poster asked if the R investigation was continued after Lam was fired by Abu Gonzales. NO! But, this is still fallout from Gale Norton & Gonzales lying to Tribal entities.

Actually, the first USA fired was in Guam, investigating the Mariana sweatshop / sex factories visited by DeLay & set up by Jackoff.

Nice guys, eh? If anyone of you dipshit trolls think Abu Gonzales has not obstructed justice you’re further gone than we thought.

March is clean up month. Let’s throw Alberto on the curb with the other garbage. Maybe the garbage truck will head to Gitmo…Al needs a little R&R. You know, waterboarding, electrodes, feces facials, the works!

Yes, but you can believe Rove and Harriet. Closed door, no oath, no transcript, and no lies…. Now that’s funny.

What would the GOPers have done if this was Clinton’s “generous offer”? Can you even imagine?

But I may be dreaming. I can still dream can’t I?

“As America moves through the second Bush term, few aspects of life in this country have not been affected by Karl Rove, and his profound influence on the president and his policies. He is the political mastermind of an administration that has preached compassionate conservatism, but has practiced something considerably different. If Karl Rove were not sitting in his office in the White House, there might not have been no war in Iraq; there would be underprivileged children still attending Head Start programs, which have been reduced or eliminated; there would be low income families getting health care from the Childeren’s Health Insurance Program, instead of going without because of federal cutbacks in funding; there would be competitive bidding contracs to rebuild Iraq instead of delivery of deals to Halliburton and other companies that are GOP fund-raisers; there would have been no California recall; there would be congressional districts with lines drawn to help elect minorities; there would be a complete and honest report from the 9/11 Commission; there would be real accounting of Saudi Arabia’s involvement in acts of terrorism; there would be real funding for Homeland Security’s First Responders; there would even be more people with jobs; half of $87 billion requested for rebuilding Iraq might be used to implement full coverage health care for every man, woman, and child in America. And sadly, none of this is overstatement.” (Source: Rove Exposed: How Bush’s Brain Fooled America)

Now: everyone quote these parts: “Clinton did it too” and “all the liberals out there defended Clinton when he did it too”. Just ignore the parts where I said anything like “I have absolutely no evidence.” Get Drudge to put it on his website, and see how quickly major news productions parrot Drudge. Voila!

That’s just plain stupid to say that because we have not been attacked that the war in Iraq is preventing it…….

    MORON!!!

It was over 8 YEARS from the 1st FALSE FLAG attack of the WTC to the second, so a little over 5 years of not being attacked is not a sign that Bush has done ANYTHING!!!!

But you don’t mind the fact that only after 3 weeks in office Bush was setting up all these spy rooms….. So was he able to read the future to know that he would need these spy rooms?????

He was a CRIMINAL FROM THE START!!!!

  33. impeachcheneythenbush says:

It’s about time this guy was convicted. I wondered why it was taking so long. I saw this guy on C-Span, testifying before Congress. It was SO obvious he was lying. He looked scared to death and his face turned bright red, while he tried desperately to lie his way out of illegal and unethical behavior. A ten month jail term isn’t long enough, however, by far. I would have liked to see him take the whole 5 years; might help discourage others from this kind of behavior.

Liberals Heart Terrorists…why do your kind always insist on setting up strawman arguments that have NOTHING to do with the topic? Oh yeah…because your kind has no reasonable defense for others of your kind. So your only option is an attempt to distract.

No, Clinton warned the Bushco Cabal over 40 times about 9/11 potential situations and they were all ignored by Sec of Shoes Rice and Rummy and Dubya. And they were mostly from Saudi Arabia, not Iraq, which last time I checked, was the country we illegally invaded and are now occupying, during a civil war.

As for the Anti-wiretapping, I actually love America and the constitution, which you Repugs have used for toilet paper. Good to get some adult leadership back in this country before you 29%ers totally destroy it!

Yes…the telltale symptoms of COD (Clinton Obsessive Disorder).

Please read the following public service announcement for more information on COD:

Every day across our great nation more and more Kool-Aid swillers fall prey to this dread disease. Watching their beloved Chimpy distinguish himself as the worst President ever drives them to distraction, causing them to fixate on one on which they can persuade their twisted minds to blame for all the world’s ills: Bubba.

If left untreated, victims of COD will continue to make fools of themselves on public message boards, continually changing nicknames in a vain attempt to escape humiliation. Eventually, in the end stages of the disease, the afflicted will cease changing nicks and accept his or her new, pitiable status as a parody troll.

Fortunately, there is hope. For only pennies a day, less than the price of a cup of coffee, you can help COD sufferers recover most of their former functionality…enough to get by in the world. Sadly, the illness, as well as the underlying Kool-Aid addiction, can leave permanent damage. These poor souls need all the help we can give.

The time is now to reach out to these poor benighted fools. Every moment we waste, the afflicted slide deeper into the nightmare that is COD. Won’t you give?

How convenient of you to forget that most of us liberals who comment here are Americans. But it’s OK, I forgive you! Pretty soon, “terrorists” and “Americans” will be interchangeable terms. Therefore, there’s nothing contradictory in our position: it’s only natural we’d want civil rights for ourselves.

Also, how quaint of anyone to strive toward a blanket application of the ideals in the Bill of Rights Amendments and not to exploit further the (built-in) loopholes so that those Amendments are instead rendered inapplicable to more groups of people.
