How convenient of you to forget that most of us liberals who comment here are Americans. But it’s OK, I forgive you! Pretty soon, “terrorists” and “Americans” will be interchangeable terms. Therefore, there’s nothing contradictory in our position: it’s only natural we’d want civil rights for ourselves.

Also, how quaint of anyone to strive toward a blanket application of the ideals in the Bill of Rights Amendments and not to exploit further the (built-in) loopholes so that those Amendments are instead rendered inapplicable to more groups of people.
