House approves redeployment.
With a 218-212 vote, the House passed the U.S. Troops Readiness, Veterans’ Health and Iraq Accountability Act, which calls for the redeployment of troops out of Iraq by 2008.

A couple has marital problems. The husband is beating his wife. The Dems have just negotiated a settlement.
Under the settlment the husband can continue beating his wife for 18 months more. The Dems sincerely hope they will be able to resolve their marital problems this way. And the Dems agree to continue to pay for any damage to the husbands’ fist or the wife’s body.
However there is one benchmark. The husband cannot hit his wife with a closed fist to the face. The Dems do understand that such a blow to the face would almost certainly be detrimental to the couple’s success.
If the husband does hit his wife in the face with a closed fist during the next 18 months THEN the Dems will stand united. At that point the husband will be asked to leave the house…maybe.

A couple has marital problems. The husband is beating his wife. The Dems have just negotiated a settlement.
Under the settlment the husband can continue beating his wife for 18 months more. The Dems sincerely hope they will be able to resolve their marital problems this way. And the Dems agree to continue to pay for any damage to the husbands’ fist or the wife’s body.
However there is one benchmark. The husband cannot hit his wife with a closed fist to the face. The Dems do understand that such a blow to the face would almost certainly be detrimental to the couple’s success.
If the husband does hit his wife in the face with a closed fist during the next 18 months THEN the Dems will stand united. At that point the husband will be asked to leave the house…maybe.

They have been shouted down by their GOP “brothers”. If you knew much about American history you would know that Lincoln railed against the Mexican American war. He DEMANDED to know where exactly America was attacked by Mexico. This is something that only one republican has done as far as I know on Iraq and very few democrats.
We all watched these past 6 years as the democrats did not stand up when they had every opportunity to do so. This is why Hillary and many others do not deserve to be president.
The republicans have been even worse, but the democrats went along. The democrats do not have to go after the president alone. They have had every opportunity to put the congressional republicans on the spot yet they have refused to do so.

This is a longer term strategy by the Dems. the current bill will pass the senate and put infront of the president and he can decide not to fund the troops by veto.
