Free Scooter.

Salon’s Tim Grieve: “If you’re planning to write Judge Reggie Walton a letter urging a light sentence for Scooter Libby — you were, right? — Libby defense lawyer William Jeffress has a few tips for you: Say who are you, say how you know Scooter and be nice to the judge.”

  2. Bruce Gorton says:

    That, is actually quite wicked.

  3. John says:

    ‘FREE SCOOTER”
:the sign cellmate Butch will tape to the door after he’s finnished with ‘Scooter’, & before he starts charging for his beeyatch. Free Samples.

  4. mike d says:

I actually feel bad for this guy.

Bullies like Cheney and Rove hung him out to dry. They’re the ones that deserve to be sentenced, not him.

  5. Zimzone says:

    A light sentence…
How ’bout 2-3 years at Gitmo?

Jake can bring him bread & water; apparently he has a lot of time on his hands anyway.

  6. JesusChrist_GodofWAR says:

Free scooter? Great! My grandkids could always use a new toy. :-)

OTOH, put the Emperor’s Scooter in jail!

  7. smafdy says:

Can we contact the judge and request that the key be thrown away?

  8. JesusChrist_GodofWAR says:

    #5 – A light sentence…

Sweet! Great idea. It’s the least we can do for him.

  9. gummitch says:

We should all write to the judge in favor of Scooter but go out of our way to violate all the rules Jeffress lays out. “I’ve known Scooter for 20 years, and it’s not fair to hold any of that early drug use against him. Hell, we were all stoned 24/7 in those days, why pick on the Scoot? Who the hell are you to judge him, anyway? Like Fitzgerald, you’re probably a damn commie.”

  10. Happy Guy says:

Heck yes pardon him. Clinton pardoned more thieves and terrorists than any president before so you can’t do worse.

If Sandy “What’s in my pants” Berger and the rest of the democrat criminal brigade can not only get away with everything for years from bribery to murder and child molestation why not? Heck, the democrats applaud their filthy comrades in the house when they get off. (and there is pun attached to get off, can you remember what molester was applauded?)

    ROTFL

Bread and water? Ah, another misinformed liberal.

    ROTFL

Can we write to the judge and ask him to hang Scooter unless he gives up Dick?

I mean if we are urged to write, it might as well be a meningful letter and not just some kiss ass note

  13. KRank says:

For what crime did Clinton issue Sandy Berger a pardon?

  14. TripMaster Monkey says:

Thanks, Daryll. That should insure that the judge throws the book at him. ^_^

Bread and water? Ah, another misinformed liberal.

I agree. Not nearly harsh enough.

How about some waterboarding & electroshock to help him retrieve his memory?
Or a feces facial to compliment that shitty grin he learned from KKKArl.
    Thanks for your support!

    Republicans are liars.

    They love lying.

They love liars too. The’re big fans of big liars.

They love Scooter lying to the FBI and a Federal Grand Jury.

They love that he obstructed justice.
    “Go Scooter go!”

    Republicans are liars.
    They love criminals.
    They hate justice.

Libby came from a “prosperous” family and is not a dummy:

    Lewis Libby
    From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

In 1972 he graduated magna cum laude from Yale University, where, reportedly, he was intensely influenced in his political thinking by Paul Wolfowitz, a professor who became his mentor.[7][13][16] In 1975 he received his Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from Columbia Law School.

During my career of over 31 years making sentencing recommendations to judges, I can say that one must look at all the elements of the crime and in this case, there is no basis for granting any consideration. This man knew what he was doing and is intelligent enough to know the difference between right and wrong. Simply because he carried out the wishes of others is not a valid reason to mitigate his actions.

So how did you personally know Scooter? You do realize the people that are asked to write these letters are doing so because they actually know him and can explain to the judge……ahhhhh……why am I wasting my time. Hope you had fun with that Daryll.

  22. ggibson says:

The days of the GOP having everyone thinking they are going to rule forever are over… the enablers are going to receive justice. Only presidential pardons will save them.

WHY????? If he feels so bad and doesn’t want to play Prison Tag and be “it” all the time, then he should give up the real criminals in the bushco Cabal. Let’s see what other snakes slither out from the Dubya Rose Garden rocks. Will be fun to watch that slimy activity, for sure!

Funnier than ‘Fingers What’s In My Pants Foley’?

Funnier than ‘I’ll never lie to Congress Again’ Gonzales?

Funnier than ‘If anyone in my ADDministration lied’ Bush?

Funnier than ‘Who should I shoot next’ Dick Cheney?

    Yup. Truly hilarious.

  26. Rocks911 says:

    mike d,

    Srew that!
these people don’t feel bad for anybody. I hope he rots in jail for subverting our political system and I hope many more follow.

It looks like retard scooped us with the first post again. Christ don’t you have to enpty your colostomy bag from time to time.

  28. Briseadh na Faire says:

Were the agents who worked for Brewster Jennings given a light sentence? Or their contacts?

Scooter participated in a scheme to blow the lid off of an entire covert operation tasked with tracking weapons of mass destruction. We will never know how many good people were killed as a result of this. If we could know, then I submit that the whole lot of them be tried for conspiracy to commit murder.

After participating in that scheme, Scooter sought to prevent justice from discovering the truth. Justicia may be blind, but she’s not stupid. There’s innocent blood on Scooter’s hands.

I sent an email through the Whitehouse website and to my Congressman. I was able to influence a few conservative colleagues to do the same. It’s not Rove’s fault. He didn’t mean to do it. From my perspective, I believe Valerie’s name slipped off his tongue. Anyway, she really wasn’t a covert operative at the time, she had a desk job.

  37. Jackie Rawlings says:

Judge Walton is wise to the tricks of Wells now. Jefferies wants all letters sent to his office not the Judge. Most likely to clean them up in support of Libby. I sent mine directly to the Judge as he posted his address. No middle man. But Libby might have many high powerful friends but Judge Walton will follow the law. Yes Libby worked for the US and has a family and career. But he lied under oath and the real reason for Libby being on trial is the illegal invasion of Iraq. Judge Walton has to remember the thousands of dead soldier, injured soldier/families and Mrs. Wilson’s lost of safety is at the bottom of this case. To bad Libby never gave a defense for his reasons for lying. His boss and co-worker never showed up at the trial.
Only Wells was there to cry and beg for his client little Scooter.

So you missed the Congressional testimony where it was *established* that she was covert? Were you always this st*pid – sh*t for brains?
