“GO BACK TO AFRICA»

AND DO YOUR GAY VOODOO LIMBO TANGO AND WANGO DANCE AND JUMP AROUND AND PRANCE AND RUN ALL OVER THE PLACE HALF NAKED THERE.” — U.S. Army recruiter Sgt. Marcia Ramode, using her military email address to respond to Jersey City resident Corey Andrew, after Ramode learned Andrew was gay.

    Wow…issues, anyone?

I’m wondering if this still falls under the auspices of “defending the military’s policy” like Pace supposedly was doing.

  2. Bush voters, sorry yet? Says:

    Ah…. feel the compassion!!

  5. Badmoodman Says:

    Ummm…… HATARI??!!
I’m sure we’ll hear from Revs. Sharpton and Jackson any second now…..Remember when this was a great country?

  6. dlet Says:

the case up to Ramode’s commander for “review, investigation and appropriate action.”

Conclusion: Since General Pace said the same think, its okay. Carry onward Christian soldier.

Also loved the comment about going back to Africa. Double the bigotry for the price of one.

  7. The Artist Formerly Known as WORFEUS Says:

Problem is, this is how right wingers talk ALL the time.

The ONLY time they don’t talk this way is when the camera’s are on them.

Its time to expose the pigs for what they are.

  8. ES Says:

Wow…what an idiot. Even for a bigot, that was just stupid to use an official email for that.

  9. druidbros Says:

No, I would never suggest we email Ms Ramode about this.

  10. shane Says:

We should all be grateful she is “recruiting” instead of defending any of us.

It’s that positive attitude of hers that gets her so many recruits no doubt.

  11. TripMaster Monkey Says:

    ES sez:

You don’t have to be smart to be a neocon brown-shirt.

Fierce, unwavering loyalty unto death is the only requirement.

Actually, intelligence and rational thought are discouraged, as they interfere with the above one requirement.

  12. klyde Says:

She claims to be a native american if true I wonder what tribe. (eastern Cherokee I’ll bet)

She would get away with the anti-gay diatribe but telling a black guy to go back to Africa, in writing,. from her USAREC account she can kiss E-6 good-bye.

  13. chimpeach Says:

If she has something on her mind, she should just come out and say it. Enough of this beating around the bush.

  14. TripMaster Monkey Says:

Interesting, how the images of the emails in the linked article had Andrew’s email addy blanked, but not Ramode’s.

Something tells me that Ramode’s email address is going to become rather useless over the next few days… ^_^

  15. chimpeach Says:

C’mon everyone! Get on your feet and do the “GAY VOODOO LIMBO TANGO AND WANGO DANCE”!

  16. klyde Says:

No, I would never suggest we email Ms Ramode about this.

Good because a coordinate cyber attack against her would make this idiot a victim. You want to write someone email your congresss-critter and your local newspaper. Ask them why this tye of bigotry and Racism inside the Army is not a big story to them.

  17. firehead Says:

That was awesome. She destroyed that libby. Although it was lacking a good spear chucking joke.

  18. Fred Says:

Sounds like she wants out of the military. -That ought to do it

  19. unbelievable Says:

Some days I can’t believe this is the 21st century… Feels more like the times of witch burnings.

Simply appalling that these people think they have the right to harass others who aren’t just like them, who don’t want what they want or who have a different view of the world. Not surprising, but still, it’s disgusting.

  21. hellinabucket Says:

The recruiter contacted Andrew first from what I read. I’d like to see the earlier exchanges.

  22. AkaDad Says:

Looks like Ramode and Ann Coulter are on the same page…

  23. big papa Says:

    DUHmerica’s “Best and Brightest” huh?

    I’ll say…

  24. Punchy Says:

Sounds like she wants out of the military. -That ought to do it

I was thinking the same thing. This is a solider that wants OUT of the military. This is about as sure-fire dismissal as one could ask for. “Honorable discharge”, I’m sure.

  25. mike Says:

If you look at the account in the Jersey city newspaper, you’ll see that the gay man is not entirely blameless–he goaded her into this by telling her to “go do a rain dance.” I think the recruiter should be fired–but I also think the guy is partly at fault here

  26. dlet Says:

You made your child an idiot. We’ll make him Army Dumb.

  27. Keyser Soze Says:

I shouldn’t really be surprised, but DAMN!

  28. Zooey Says:

    Holy crap. That’s sick.

I’m pretty sure her recruiting days are over. Thank goodness.

  29. SouthWest Bob Says:

Is is true that the WH is working on a new piece of legislation titled, “The GWB Federal Employees Communications Act of 2007?” Sources close to people who know people and work at Faux News tell other sources that the bill will forbid communications between all federal employees by these methods:
    1. E-mail
    2. Written correspondence
    3. Telephone calls
    4. Telegrams
    5. Faxes
    6. Video
    7. Any other form of communication which can be viewed,
heard, observed or in any way shared with someone
other than the original sender and receiver.

Allowed Communications for all federal employees are as follows:

    1. Face to face in a locked room with total security and
currently certified by the DHS within the past 3 days.
    2. No federal employee may make any recording of
secure communication of any kind. Notes, records,
video, photos or any permanent records are not
    allowed.
    3. Should anyone ask if communication occurred between
federal employees the authorized response is, “This is
a national security issue and cannot be
    acknowledged.”
    4. Violations of this law will be referred to the office of the
Vice-President for appropriate sanctions. If referred
for a violation, please bring your hunting gear but no
    weapon.

  30. TripMaster Monkey Says:

Although the entire content of Ramode’s hateful screeds was offensive and deplorable, two phrases in particular jumped out and slapped me in the face:

I HAVE MORE RIGHTS HERE THAN YOU

YOUR FREEDOM OF SPEECH WAS GIVENM [SIC] TO YOU BY THE US MILITARY

These two statements demonstrate graphically that this person is unqualified to wear the uniform of a U.S. soldier.

  31. TripMaster Monkey Says:

    Fred sez:

Sounds like she wants out of the military. -That ought to do it

Heh…that honestly hadn’t occurred to me. Perhaps she’s smarter than we’re giving her credit for. ^_^

  32. hellinabucket Says:

#25 there are always two sides to a story. What’s the name of the paper? Regardless of what was said the recruiter was the one that made the contact and Andrew’s let him know where he stood. Sounds like they didn’t care for each others view.

Rain dancing and gay voodoo limbo dancing won’t cure this. Would be interesting to see though.

  33. Juan C Says:

I mean, whats the surprise? If there was a girl pointing at some arab guy´s genitals while smiling in front of a camera in Abu Ghraib, whats the surprise?

  34. unbelievable Says:

I think the recruiter should be fired–but I also think the guy is partly at fault here
    Comment by mike — March 26, 2007 @ 12:10 pm

She pursued him… He was minding his own busines when she contacted him. The fault is entirely hers for intruding into his life, uninvited.

Also, you cannot control anyone but yourself. Regardless of his responses, hers were unprofessional and way over the line. She deserves the consequences she gets for the actions she chose - which should be a dismissal from the US government.

  35. jon Says:

I read the article….and the recruiter is probably history…..the one thing that was missing for me were the emails from the “recruit” that the recruiter was responding to. Did I miss them somewhere?

YOUR FREEDOM OF SPEECH WAS GIVENM [SIC] TO YOU BY THE US MILITARY
    Comment by TripMaster Monkey

Thanks for this one, TMM. The sad thing is that people buy this thing. I remember the movie A few good men, when Nicholson´s character said in the trial that he was protecting US citizen´s freedoms or something like that.

People really think this is true. Protecting from who? Cubans? (Nicholson´s character was a general in Guantanamo) How many times Cuba invaded US? Granada? 6,000 US soldiers against 40 railway cuban workers? NIcaragua? Vietnam? And people keep buying this really cheap stuff. So, the logic here is that US has to invade or bomb countries so US citizens can keep having their freedom of speech? This is ridiculous.

  42. Bat Guano Says:

Now, wait a minute: Isn’t it well-known right wing rocker Ted Nudgent who does a half-naked wango-tango dance?

  43. Badmoodman Says:

How did Ramode “learn” he was gay? Did she catch a peek at his iPod playlist that was loaded with Madonna, Cher and The Pet Shop Boys? Or did he just ask a reasoned, thoughtful quesion which would of course give him away.

  44. I WORFEUS Says:

    Theres a bigger picture here.

This isn’t about “one lone racist”.

What Mr Kamode is showing us is the tip of the proverbial ice berg.

MOST neocons think, and talk this way.

See ‘Borat’? Embarrassing what the general public thinks. Even more embarrassing as to why. It’s a religious dictate that has created this division of hatred and refusal to accept others. And it stems from the Judeo-Christo-Islamic tree of Middle Eastern ideology.

I’m not shocked that a lowly recruiter might have some psychological issues, be a bigot, a homophobe, and/or a self-righteous Bible thumper. What bugs the crap out of me is that the head of the Joint Chiefs of Staff is all those things rolled into one. It all starts at the top and flows from there.

  53. unbelievable Says:

Its amazing that this illiterate is actually a US Military recruiter.

I was thinking that also when I read the article, but then I remembered that they lowered the qualifications for recruits on intelligence, therefore they probably had to lower them on recruiters so that they could actually find recruiters who still support this illegal and immoral war…

Maybe the next big DoD contract should be with “Hooked-on-Phonics”.

TMM, here is what I found….

There were many states doing this. The latest, NM was shot down so that one did not make it. But I believe CA, WA, OR, VA, ME, and a few others were voting on articles of Impeachment to send to Congress.

One thing that was wrong with SWB’s statement that the states could Impeach Bush…. That is NOT correct! Only the Congress can. But the States can push the Congress to do it and it holds more weight when they do….

I hate to break it to you, but God did not write the bible, men did. And men, as we all know are incapable of understanding the true will of God. To preach such is to act in direct opposition and claim omnipotence for ones self which is in fact reserved for God only. If God has a problem with someones lifestyle, then they will be judged when their soul makes the final journey. It is not for any of us, mere mortals, to be judging our fellows. We are, in short, mentally and spiritually incapable of making such judgments.

You find it offensive to tell blacks to leave America, because you are one and are offended that you aren’t welcomed here by certain non-black people… But then not only can you not apply your feelings of insult to the exact same bigotry bestowed on other oppressed and hated people (gaus), but you actually JOIN IN!

Your Bible also says that you should be a slave, Daryll.

Be careful what you support for condemning one group of people…. For you clearly don’t realize what it says about YOU.

DARYLL PLEASE ADDRESS OR HAVE YOUR PASTOR RESPOND

Thank you for doing so much to educate people regarding God’s Law. I have learned a great deal from your show, and I try to share that knowledge with as many people as I can. When someone tries to defend the homosexual lifestyle, for example, I simply remind him that Leviticus 18:22 clearly states it to be an abomination. End of debate.

I do need some advice from you, however, regarding some of the specific laws and how to best follow them.

    a) When I burn a bull on the altar as a sacrifice, I know it creates a pleasing odor for the Lord (Lev 1:9). The problem is my neighbors. They claim the odor is not pleasing to them. Should I smite them?

    b) I would like to sell my daughter into slavery, as sanctioned in Exodus 21:7. In this day and age, what do you think would be a fair price for her?

    c) I know that I am allowed no contact with a woman while she is in her period of menstrual uncleanliness (Lev 15:19-24). The problem is, how do I tell? I have tried asking, but most women take offense.

    d) Lev. 25:44 states that I may indeed possess slaves, both male and female, provided they are purchased from neighboring nations. A friend of mine claims that this applies to Mexicans, but not Canadians. Can you clarify? Why can’t I own Canadians?

    e) I have a neighbor who insists on working on the Sabbath. Exodus 35:2 clearly states he should be put to death. Am I morally obligated to kill him myself?

    f) A friend of mine feels that even though eating shellfish is an Abomination (Lev 11:10), it is a lesser abomination than homosexuality. I don’t agree. Can you settle this?

    g) Lev 21:20 states that I may not approach the altar of God if I have a defect in my sight. I have to admit that I wear reading glasses. Does my vision have to be 20/20, or is there some wiggle room here?

    h) Most of my male friends get their hair trimmed, including the hair around their temples, even though this is expressly forbidden by Lev 19:27. How should they die?

    i) I know from Lev 11:6-8 that touching the skin of a dead pig makes me unclean, but may I still play football if I wear gloves?

    j) My uncle has a farm. He violates Lev 19:19 by planting two different crops in the same field, as does his wife by wearing garments made of two different kinds of thread (cotton/polyester blend). He also tends to curse and blaspheme a lot. Is it really necessary that we go to all the trouble of getting the whole town together to stone them? (Lev 24:10-16) Couldn’t we just burn them to death at a private family affair like we do with people who sleep with their in-laws? (Lev. 20:14)

I know you have studied these things extensively, so I am confident you can help.

Thank you again for reminding us that God’s word is eternal and unchanging.

Seems the recruiter had her meltdown early in the thread. After reading the e-mail thread, it seems Mr. Andrews might have baited the Recruiter in his initial response, but he managed to keep it fairly civil and literate the whole way through. The Recruiter, however, will be court martialed and hopefully not instructing an internetiquette course anytime soon.

Theresa (the PDFs don’t redact her contact telephone numbers, either).

  123. Tuber Says:

This is a case of “flame mail” pure and simple, where someone types something up in the heat of the moment and hits the send key before their brain or common sense kicks in.

Should the recruiter lose their job over it? Heck yes. But I don’t believe this is a topic worthy of discussion here because it is so clearly wrong, so blatantly un-American that all that a discussion on the topic provides is an opportunity for bigots, racists, and the morally challenged to spew their bile and hate. I don’t know about you, but I’m tired of people telling me their justifications for their hate when, as a civil society should already be aware, there is no justification for hate.

  124. hacker bob Says:

OK, I have not read all the posts here so this may have been covered.

I agree that the Recruiter was WAY over the line. But Mr. Andrew did a little pushing of his own in his first response. The Recruiter should have just blow it off ignored it and went about her day.

How come it is OK to post the Recruiters e-mail address and not Mr. Andrews? He did a little provoking in here as well. He knew the policy and was pushing on the Recruiter about Congress policy decisions.

Yes, I think at a minimum the Recruiter should be relieved from her post and if not discharged, then not allowed to re-enlist. But come on, lets be fair here.

    Daryll sez:

Leviticus doesn’t pertain to the Gentiles.

I beg your pardon, Daryll, but you are SADLY mistaken.

Here’s what the New Testament has to say about the Old Testament:

“For truly, I say to you, till heaven and earth pass away, not an iota, not a dot, will pass the law until all is accomplished. Whoever then relaxes one of the least of these commandments and teaches men so, shall be called least in the kingdom of heaven; but he who does them and teaches them shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven.” (Matthew 5:18-19)

“It is easier for Heaven and Earth to pass away than for the smallest part of the letter of the law to become invalid.” (Luke 16:17)

“Do not think that I have come to abolish the law or the prophets. I have come not to abolish but to fulfill. Amen, I say to you, until heaven and earth pass away, not the smallest part or the smallest part of a letter will pass from the law, until all things have taken place.” (Matthew 5:17)

“All scripture is inspired by God and is useful for teaching, for refutation, for correction, and for training in righteousness…” (2 Timothy 3:16)

“Know this first of all, that there is no prophecy of scripture that is a matter of personal interpretation, for no prophecy ever came through human will; but rather human beings moved by the holy Spirit spoke under the influence of God.” (2 Peter 20-21)

“Whoever curses father or mother shall die” (Mark 7:10)

“He that curseth father or mother, let him die the death.” (Matthew 15:4-7)

“You have heard that it was said, ‘You shall not commit adultery.’ But I say to you that everyone who looks at a woman with lustful intent has already committed adultery with her in his heart. If your right eye causes you to sin, tear it out and throw it away. For it is better that you lose one of your members than that your whole body be thrown into hell. And if your right hand causes you to sin, cut it off and throw it away. For it is better that you lose one of your members than that your whole body go into hell.(Matthew 5:27-30)

“Slaves, place yourselves under the authority of your owners and show them complete respect. Obey not only those owners who are good and kind, but also those who are unfair.” 1 Peter 2:18

“Did not Moses give you the law, and yet none of you keepeth the law” (John7:19)

“For the law was given by Moses…” (John 1:17)

“…the scripture cannot be broken.” –Jesus Christ (John 10:35)

If you have indeed been ignoring the Old Testament, it should be obvious from these passages that you’re going to Hell.

Better get right with God, Daryll. While you’re at it, answer post #112

    LOL

So much in life is counterintuitive to our culture… That Newton really nailed human nature with his third law of motion… For every action there is an equal and opposite reaction… Daryll shows up with demands, intolerance, and divisiveness while expecting to be accepted, welcomed and included, and never seeming to catch on that to get what he wants, he first must give it. Considering the capacity of the human brain for learning, I do find it interesting that he instead chooses to ignore the obvious - the very basis for evolution of our species (adaptation).

Yes. Criticizing others for exercizing their rights of free speech while exercizing your right of free speech is very hypocritical. Good analogy…

It’s a fair point. West Ham have been rubbish this season. Saying all that, did you see how Tevez celebrated his first goal in the Premiership? It was in the incredible West Ham vs Tottenham Hotspurs game. The man was over the moon. Shirt off and into the crowd absolutely ecstatic! The ref gave him a yellow card (as the rules dictate) and apologised for having to do it.

We weren’t the aggressors in WWII. A fundamental difference.

  156. unbelievable Says:

Daryll won’t make the black-white distinction, but he’s all too happy to divide the masses at gay/straight or Gentile/Jew… Just as long as he gets to be in the “Goes to Heaven” pile.

God knows your gay Daryll, even if you pretend you aren’t.

  157. Dale Says:

#154, Juan didn’t specify that only aggressors are hate-spewers… he said “supporting wars is not a sign of benevolence.”, in response to my request for an example of spewing hate. So, by his logic, we WERE hate-spewers in WWII.

  158. Dale Says:

#154… and by your logic, who were the aggressors in the Civil War? Were they, also, spewing hate?

  159. Juan C Says:

Oh, wait, it’s only when the war is not a popular one… then it’s spewing hate.
    Comment by Dale

Wars are not popular, Rambo, no matter what your propagandistic country had told you. Just wars are fought by people under agression, they are fought by necessity, not because they just seem to like them.

In fact, the German people in the Nazi era were told that they were being threatened by the Jewish-Bolshevik menace, that the Western civilization (the legacy of ancient Greece) was under a great peril.
Do you find this familiar? Poor tool, you have been lied all your life.

  160. howsad Says:

are you liberals for real? so here we have TP putting up a very hateful e-mail from a military personnel, rightly pointing out to the vitrol of its contents…..

but now this thread is full of hate, anger, venom, etc for anyone that disagrees with the liberals.

On this thread liberals have used equally hateful language as the author of the e-mail to attack the Bible, Christianity, men of the cloth and anyone else that they perceive disagrees with them when it comes to homosexuality.

is this what you liberals call tolerance? is this what you liberals call open mindness?

You liberals preach this, but you act as, “it is either my way or the highway….”

start practicing what you preach, if you preach tolerance and open mindness, show us supposed “evil”Christinas how to do it. Show us the tolerance you guys claim we don’t have towards homosexuals.

finally, open your mind to the possibility that you may be wrong when it comes to homosexuality.

and at the end, I think this thread was about the hateful e-mail, but leave it to the liberals to paint with one brush everyone they have been brainwashed to believe hates their ideology….

it is never ceasing and no longer amazing the hypocrisy of the left…..

a thread that was put up by TP (liberals) to condemn hate is full of hate by liberals towards anyone that disagrees with them….ahhhh the hypocrisy.

  161. Zooey Says:

Wow. Leave for a couple hours, and Daryll’s still going at it.

Well, he should be going at it with the lovely new Mrs Daryll, but it seems he prefers to be here. Go figure…..

  162. Ben Dover Says:

#137. Regarding the spewing of hate. Have you read any of Ann Coulter lately?? What about “christian” Pat Robertson saying that the State Department building should be “nuked”? What about Jerry Falwell saying that “fornicators” (of which he is one) were responsible for 9/11? The Republic Party is so full of hate mongers and hate spewers, I think you need to word your comments a little more carefully.

    What? You aren’t making sense.

You called a parallel between WWII and the current Iraq War. The involvement of the UK, US, Russia and Canada etc was due to aggression and acts of war by the Axis powers. Hence no comparison exists unless I missed the equivalent of the invasion of Poland, the attack on Pearl Harbour and the Invasion of Russia by Saddam.

As such, you compare it to a civil war. Comparing civil wars to international wars is like comparing apples and coal.

Have a word with yourself hey?

UkDave has found Juan C…..bye guys. Heh. :)

  166. Dale Says:

#158… Juan, buddy… keep trying to twist the story to fit your ‘facts’.

    * I was accused of ’spewing hate’
    * When asked for an example, the only one presented was my support of the Iraq war.
    * Then, I was told that when we’re not the aggressor, we’re hate-spewing.
    * Finally, I’m given a lecture on German aggression.

Uh, so if I understand this, then I’m spewing hate when I support a war that we started? So half of the country was spewing hate in the Civil War?

Thanks for proving my point Juan… I have *NOT* been ’spewing hate’ on this site… however, many other so-called ‘progressives’ have.

We used to have fences and terracing. Then we had the Hillsborough disaster and everything changed. 96 people went to a game and got crushed to death for no other reason than the police let too many people onto the terrace and the fence stopped them escaping the crush.

All UK football fans remember where they were when they heard about Hillsborough. I was 11 and on a school trip. Shit, just thinking about it still brings tears to my eyes.

After that the UK game had to change and it did.

  169. Dale Says:

howsad, this is all many of the people on this site know how to do… spew hate. Once in a while you’ll find a gem of analysis from somebody, but usually it’s just hate.

#161, bendover, read my comments again… I was asking for an example of when *I* spewed hate; not anybody else.

So can anyone show an example of my posts on TP that are ’spewing hate’???

Once again. You support this war. You are afraid (of WMDs, Saddam, Al-Qaeda, Muslims, whatever). Fear breeds hate. Hate breeds violence. Just like Germans.

  172. AshenShard Says:

ah, the misleading right wing talking point “if I want to be a bigot, that is my choice, and if you disagree and belittle me for being a bigot, then you are a bigot!”

sorry, but the right is full of homophobic, sexist, moronic, bigots. The reason comments are made on this thread are to show how stupid and warped the thought process of the reich wing is.

we aren’t going to say ‘its my way or the high way’, especially if you go your own way. but once you come on here and start saying stuff about how wrong liberals views are and how homosexuality is wrong, then you better bet we are going to jump you with our superior intellect, knowledge, and acceptance. Don’t go crying that we are not being tolerant because you come on here being a bigot.

Being open minded does not mean racism, sexism, homophobia or religious intolerance must be accepted by us and respected. To be a civilized society, these things must be wiped out. To prevent atrocities, these things must be wiped out.

    UkBristolDave,

    1) Amazing how the liberal western media claims Iraq is in a Civil War, but according to a poll done by a UK company of 5,000 Iraqis, only 27% of them, WHO LIVE THERE! believe that Iraq is in a Civil war, 46% don’t believe their nation is in a civil war….so who do we believe, the western media which is 100% against the Iraq War or the Iraqis who live there? hmmmm….I guess you left your logic hat in the bathroom, eh?

2)Were you awake when Saddam Hussein was caught giving millions of dollars to Palestinian terrorist groups? were you sleeping when he filled up countless mass graves with Iraqis? Clinton attacked Serbia for a lot less. I take it you hate Iraqis and don’t believe that human rights abuses should be dealt with the same way in Iraq as Nato dealt with them in Kosovo and Serbia, right?

3)Iraq was shooting at American and British Jet Fighters who were patrolling the no fly-zones, put into place to prevent Hussein from mass murdering Shietes and Kurds.

4)Gulf War I never ended, there was no treaty signed, but rather a truce signed. You liberals who claim to know so much about international law should know that a truce is NOT a peace treaty, but rather an end of hostilities given that the party that lost complies with certain things….Saddam Hussein was NOT complying with the truce agreement.

5)and if you are going to bring up the, “there were no WMDs in Iraq” make sure that you mention that the WHOLE WORLD agreed that he had them….France, Germany, Russia, USA, UN, Australia, Spain, Chile, etc, etc, etc, etc, etc, etc all agreed he had them…the question before the war was NOT whether he had th
