My two representatives – Roskam and Hastert in Illinois are among the ass-kissing Bushlovers in the House.
Hastert had to spend a lot of money to beat John Laesch (Iraq veteran) and Roskam not only had to spend a lot of money, he had to import Bush himself in his race against (Iraq veteran) Tammy Duckworth.
Illinois should be ashamed of those two POS. My neighbors in Dupage County. : P

This is an example of the mandate delivered to congress in November and begun this January.
It’s another step on the long march back to where we belong as a nation.
OT — I have been busy and didn’t change the TV channel — there were Scarborough and several others all debating the abysmal state of the Bush administration and the likelihood of impeachment for him.
If I heard correctly, they expect that this Gonzales affair will start the ball rolling toward impeachment.
Impeachment will be the forerunner of a huge mea culpa that should be delivered to the world once Bush is gone. We’ll need to apologize for being off track for these years, being incredibly blinded, and therefore oblivious of the dangerous path our president set us upon. We will begin to set things right again, if we can.

The Patriot Act, a massive piece of complicated legislation was signed into law, in itâ€™s final form, within 45 days of 9/11. That feat is impossible to achieve even in the best of circumstances, let alone at a time when every boss you need to consult is unavailable because the country just suffered the biggest attack on itâ€™s home soil.

Of course, since we have no ex post facto laws here in the U.S., any U.S. Attorneys replaced while the law was operative do not legally require Senate confirmation ; )

That’s okay. We know which ones to keep an eye on. If there’s any lobbying of USAs by congressmen, if any investigations of Republicans get stifled, if any investigations of Democrats get unduly hyped, it should be pretty conspicuous.

Did anyone find it curious that Arlan Specter has been so vocally against Gonzo?? I did. But now that he was the one possibly criminally responsible for amending the bill after the fact, it all begins to make perfect sense. He’s worried about his own butt….that’s all….he never did have a conscience so I thought it was a rare anomaly that he acted as though he had one.
