I think that unless you’ve had cancer yourself, as I’ve had, you should quit wasting everyone’s time with your ‘idiotic’, ’self-serving’ garbage. It is true that “people who know nothing, soon show it”. Write to Dear Abby or someone else who really cares!

Ok, the cancer is “bad news.” Let’s look at it this way: We’re all going to die eventually and we should be prepared for it. Tony Snow is NO spring chicken and his time has come. I would estimate he’ll be around for about one year, and I think that’s stretching it. After that he’ll have a new life in another world.

I have no sympathy for Tony Snow, as he has shown time and again that he has no sympathy for our troops, or the Iraqi people. He is a mouthpiece for a megalomaniac, in a depraved administration. He has a job in a society that has massive unemployment, and a majority of poverty-level workers. He has the best healthcare coverage available, when many in our country are unable to afford it. He gets all teary-eyed when he talks about himself, but has no problem white-washing the issues that negatively affect our citizens. He is a lying, callous, narcissistic, sociopath, and he is not worthy of our compassion. I sincerely hope that Tony Snow suffers a long, gruesome, agonizing, demise before he is caste into the burning pit of hell, or oblivion…whichever is the case, we will all be better off without his B.S.!
As for all of the well-meaning liberals, Dems, and religious folk…don’t kid yourself…most of the nation feels exactly the same as I do on this issue. We are sick of Bush, Cheney, Rummy, Rove, and punks like Tony Snow. We would all be much better off if they were dead.

C’mon people! Why are some of you being so ugly regarding Tony Snow’s illness. I think he’s a great American and to name call, etc. is at best rude. I can only hope you don’t get to the prime of your lives, have a family, work hard at what you do and find you life snuffed out right before your eyes. “What goes around comes around” and someone mentioned karma in one of the posts. Illness doesn’t care of you’re dem or repub. Compassion should come from everyone.
Tony Snow is a decent man. Those of you who disagree with his politics could at least be HUMAN enough to cut the cracks on him.

For 151 Walt: it’s heart-wrenching, to be sure, but it’s even more heartwrenching for the thousands of others who face a similar medical crisis without the high quality health care that being a shill for a crime family affords a person. This all because of the impediments Mr. Snow’s sinfully wealthy tribe puts in the way of national health care. And, to be sure, you won’t hear about all those invidivual human tragedies on tonight’s corporate news.

No, those families suffer in silence. Even if they are insured, they still risk bankruptcy from medical bills, and thanks to Republicans and certain Democrats from Delaware and the DLC, bankruptcy for medical reasons is no cause for leniency from the courts. So if a hospital wants to charge a patient more than what their for-profit insurance wants to pay, they sell their house and throw them out in the street. That’s what I’d call heart wrenching. And that’s the America that Tony Snow advocates.

So yes, while it’s subhuman and callous to not have compassion for Mr. Snow, there are limits to extending compassion to the resolutely compassionless. So forgive me for not being overly concerned about whether he gets to see his grandchildren graduate college. I sincerely hope he does, but I’m not going to lose any sleep over it. There are more pressing matters to be concerned about.

In the interest of fairness and balance, I’m still waiting for Katie Couric to grill Mr. Snow about “what some people might say” about using his illness for political purposes like she did the Edwards. Did anyone ever ask Couric whether she used her husband’s colon cancer and subsequent public colonoscopy to further her own career? You would think she would know better.

Do not joke/pun/tease/joke/ or offer crude remarks about this. The odds say that Tony will not see his Grandchildren graduate from college. He may never even see them. That phase of life is more rewarding than a career. To be denied it is heart wrenching.

I lost a friend to liver cancer just before Christmas 2005 and know that he was in considerable pain during his last few months. Despite certain negative feelings I have about the way Tony Snow handled press conferences, I don’t wish the same on him.

While the utter mess the Bush Administration has made over the past years dismays me, I was saddened by the news of Mr Snowâ€™s condition; Cancer is a terrible disease and I wish him well in his battle. At least he will have the benefit of top-notched health care, which; sadly, is not available to too many millions of Americans.

Is there any confirmation Tony Snow knew of this growth in September? Perhaps his docs used a blood test to assure them it couldn’t be carcinogenic….

Damn. That’s going to be tough to live with–the “What if’s” of timing. Poor guy–I do wish him good health–and a change of heart would be nice, too.
