60.

Percentage of Americans who believe Congress is spending too little time (35%) or the right amount of time (25%) investigating possible government wrongdoing. Just 31 percent say Congress is spending too much time on this.

  2. CONservative says:

Too little time?? I’d like to know all the crap these fascists have been up to the past six years too, but there’s just so much of it it’s gonna take some time. As it is what we’ve found oughta be enough to put impeachment back on the table, but I’m afraid we’ve only scratched the surface of this culture of corruption.

  3. Jake says:

Good thing I’m a registered Independent, although I’ve never voted for a candidate who wasn’t a Republican.

  4. druidbros says:

Hmm. I wonder where the 31 % come from?

  5. Patrick1 says:

I agree, if they are wasting their time on this meaningless crap that can’t be surrendering the nation to their allies the Islamists and raising taxes. Though they will try to multi task or should I say multi-tax.

  6. ad says:

is it fair to add the two categories – can’t it be flipped the other way? like, 56 percent of Americans think Congress is doing enough or even too much time investigating wrongdoing?

i mean, i’m part of the 35 percent who thinks they’re doing too little, i’m just saying here.

  7. ad says:

is it really fair to combine the two categories – couldnt this be flipped the other way? like, 56 percent believe Congress is doing enough or even too much investigating?

i’m one of the 35 who thinks they aren’t doing enough, i’m just saying here. maybe we shouldnt be so optimistic about our fellow americans.

    #2 CONservative.

With all the new stuff coming out every day, it is like Christmas in March, there is no end to the BushCo Shenanigans. They are such merry little pranksters! Hee Hee!

Too bad so many lives and so much money has been wasted and so much environmental damage has been done in their name, though. Makes it hard to laugh without crying.

Hope the 29%ers are proud of their support of this Cabal!

More time for the Democrats to nail your cowardly, criminal hides? I agree.

If you mean more time for America to change it’s mind – bahahah, you’re a st*pid little child – aren’t you twerp?

  10. Mike says:

Its about time people got their heads out of their asses. Note the exact correlation with Bush’s approval rating.

Can you translate that from inbred trailer trash for the rest of the bulletin board Patrick1? I think only Jake’Off understood your inbred ramblings.

BHAHAHA, were you Hi-Jake’d, or are you finally admitting you’re a partisan hack – child?

    Jake sez:

Well, give it some time . . .

Indeed…give it some time…the more filth is uncovered by this investigation, the more and more that 31% mark is going to shrink toward that magic 29% of Americans who seemingly don’t care even if Chimpy eats a baby on national television. ^_^

  14. Anonymous By Choice says:

In time, as more information is uncovered, more people will want these investigations to continue.

It will be just like the Iraq war. The more the people learn, the more their eyes will open, and want someone held accountable.

As stupid, selfish, and lazy as Americans are, that is what I beleive.

Well, we gave Republican corruption and lack of oversight plenty of time. We thought we’d try something new. It seems to be getting rave reviews.

    Comment by druidbros — March 29, 2007 @ 3:21 pm

When we do a little research, we find out where.

the sampling error is plus or minus 4 percentage points.

    31% – 3% = 28%

It is the same fascist Bush apologists as always. My whole life growing up I was well aware that there was a large portion of our population that were complete morons. Bush has made it quite clear that I was right and he let me know exactly how much of our population fit into that category.

28% of the population of America are complete idiots.

  18. VerbalKint says:

I see that the Washington values crowd, namely Jake and Patrick, are here once again scraping bottom to defend the regime.

  20. Dale says:

Hmm, what about the possible corruption of Diane Feinstein… anybody wanna comment on *that*!

  21. Exley says:

I must say I admire ThinkProgress for linking to a poll titled, “Democrats Fail to Impress in First 100 Days.”

  22. Jake says:

    LOL, Dale and Exley!

  23. Dale says:

Hey Jake, how much you wanna bet that the next comment will be “Anything Feinstein may have done is nothing compared to ChimpeachHalliburtCheneyStoopid has done”

  24. JPark says:

#19 I already did on the other thread, spammer. And guess what. It wasn’t “Anything Feinstein may have done is nothing compared to ChimpeachHalliburtCheneyStoopid has done”. Try again.

  25. JPark says:

    #23 Should reference #22.

  26. LibStl says:

So much for the conventional wisdom of the “Chris Matthews Show.”

  27. ForTruth says:

Those 30% ers are a stubborn lot.

  28. ForTruth says:

If Diane Feinstein is corrrupted, bust her too. And then get back to the long line of corrupted Repukes.

  29. Dale says:

#27, so what about Harry Reid and his land deal? What about William “the fridge” Jefferson?

  30. CONservative says:

    Comment by Dale

Don’t have to Dale, you said it for us. Thanks! haha

  31. Tuber says:

And now I fall into the ranks of the 30%ers. Although from the responses that I’ve received on other threads I would think that the group I’m in represents a much smaller percentage than that.

What group is that? Well, that would be the group that feels that our nation’s first priority is to end IMMEDIATELY the Iraq occupation and terrorism event.

But, as I said, I’m in the minority. Seems the “enlightened” majority feel that the focus of this nation and its representatives should be that of publicly tar and feathering the corrupt politician du jour. All that murder and mayhem and state sponsored terrorism that we are performing in Iraq, well we just have to let that continue while we enjoy the televised roasting of pigs.

After all, the show must go on. Phuck the Iraqis and our sons and daughters that we’ve sent over there to become murderers, torturers, and terrorists. Phuck ‘em all.

  32. Spudge_Boy says:

Harry Reid, did nothing wrong. That is why the Republican lead Congress did not investigate.

William Jefferson should go to jail if found guilty.

All I can find on Feinstein is a bunch of right wing blogs with info. I will hold judgment until I see more.

  33. JPark says:

#28 You don’t get it Dale. We are not going to defend Dems who get caught with their hands in the cookie jar. I was extremely disappointed that Jefferson was reelected. I do wonder why the Republicans didn’t investigate him when they had the chance. Maybe he is like crazy ole granny that puts her life savings under the mattress. Maybe not. Apparently the Reps didn’t think it was a big deal since they didn’t investigate. Curious.

  34. Spudge_Boy says:

But, as I said, I’m in the minority. Seems the “enlightened” majority feel that the focus of this nation and its representatives should be that of publicly tar and feathering the corrupt politician du jour.

    Tuber,

Come on. You know as well as any on this board that we can do more than one thing at once.

At the same time this is happening, the Senate passed the troop funding + Iraq withdrawl bill.

Both are happening at the same time.

It is possible to get out of Iraq and cut of Bush’s balls at the same time.

  35. Dale says:

#31, and #32; and if laws were broken re: the firing of the US attorneys, then there also should be jail time. But for a site that’s purportedly so worried about corruption in government, I find it odd that so little attention is being paid to corruption on the Democrat side.

  36. Dale says:

It is possible to get out of Iraq and cut of Bush’s balls at the same time.

    Comment by Spudge_Boy — March 29, 2007 @ 4:23 pm

Which is the major focus here… yeah, it’d be nice to get the other stuff done, but the important thing is to find something on Pres. Bush.

  37. Spudge_Boy says:

but the important thing is to find something on Pres. Bush.

    Comment by Dale — March 29, 2007 @ 4:26 pm

No need to find. It is right out in the open for everybody to see but Bush apologists like you who have their heads in the sand. You are allowing your party to be ruined. You are directly responsible for the demise of the Republican party.

Do I want a one party system? No, I want real conservatives and Republicans to stand up against the tyrant you are backing so hard.

  38. Spudge_Boy says:

    Comment by Dale — March 29, 2007 @ 4:25 pm

Great, you go boy, but don’t blame that lack of coverage on the posters. We call for it, but they don’t post it. So, stop painting with such wide brush strokes.

  39. Tuber says:

    #33-Spudge_Boy,

The war (terrorism) funding bill has passed with even more funding than the administration requested. And the “withdrawal” timetable, which doesn’t do sh*t for months anyway, is non-binding.

Yep, we’re doing two things at once alright. And they are both a farce.

  40. Raymond Funamoto says:

IN THE PRIVATE SECTOR, WHEN EVEN CEOs IN CHARGE ARE GUILTY OF MALFEASENCE, THEY ARE RUTHLESSLY FIRED, TERMINATED, GOTTEN RID OF—-LET US USE THE SAME RULE TOWARDS CHIMPya, FRANKENCheney, Rove, Bushland Uber Allies—-THEY HAVE NOT ONLY NOT DONE THEIR JOBS, THEY HAVE LIED, CHEATED AND STOLEN FROM AMERICA, THEIR STOCKHOLDERS AND BOSSES—THIS IS GROUNDS FOR IMMEDIATE TERMINATION FROM POSITION, AND THEIR LIVES, IF I HAD MY WAY!!!!!

  41. Dale says:

THIS IS GROUNDS FOR IMMEDIATE TERMINATION FROM POSITION, AND THEIR LIVES, IF I HAD MY WAY!!!!!

#39, so you’re calling for the *death* of everyone in the WH administration?

So you disagree with Ann Coulter’s assessment of what constitutes proper punishment for Treason? I’m glad to see how much you condemn the attitudes of yourself!

  43. muckdog says:

As long as the Congress is busying themselves with these sorts of things, it means they’re not doing anything else.

Keep on keeping on, folks. We’d hate for you to actually do something.

  44. Raymond Funamoto says:

#41, MY COMMENT WAS #40, NOT #39—APPARENTLY YOU CAN’T COUNT OR READ NUMBERS—-AND YES, I AM CALLING FOR THE EXECUTION OF CHIMPya and Bushland Uber Allies FOR THEIR HIGH CRIMES AGAINST AMERICA AND THE REST OF THE WORLD, MASS MURDER IN WAR CRIMES, AND ENDLESS OTHER CHARGES WHICH WOULD EARN THEM DEATH EVEN AFTER THEY HAD BEEN GIVEN A “FAIR” TRIAL IN A COURT AT The Hague, NOT ONE OF THEIR “KANGAROO COURT” MILITARY TRIBUNALS—-SO PUT THAT IN YOUR CRACKPIPE AND SMOKE IT, SCUM!!!!!
