Not true…..
It is now proven that Gonzo lied under oath to the Congress….
This is rather significant. Sampsons testimony that Gonzo was in fact involved with the firings and that he was part of meetings regarding the matter flys in the face of what Gonzo said under oath.
It’s JAIL time for Gonzo. He needs to be impeached, then jailed.

Also, as Jake has said many times before, obstruction of justice is not a crime if you work in the federal government.

But an investigation is amply warranted, and those of us who believe in American values and the rule of law (i.e. not you) want that investigation to proceed, because we want to uncover the truth, whatever it may be. There is compelling evidence of a coverup. A pattern of lies has been proven. Crimes may have occurred and should be investigated. Why did one of them lie to Congress, then resign? Why did another take an indefinite leave of absence, hire a criminal lawyer, and sign an affidavit swearing to invoke the Fifth Amemdment against self-incrimination if called to testify? Why are those who are testifying contradicting each other, and why are others scrambling to avoid testifying at all?
Cynicon, why do you hate American values? Why do you hate justice? Why do you hate truth? Why do you hate the Constitution?

VK, I have no problem with investigating possible crimes. I just don’t like the witchhunt flavor of this. My sense is that if the parties were reversed here, there would be a lot of posting about how the firing of USAs is perfectly within the rights of the President, etc.
And, if it’s fine to investigate possible crimes committed by underlings as part of an effort to determine the culpability of the person in charge (Gonzalez and/or Bush), then why is there no investigation of an ACTUAL crime committed by one of Schumer’s underlings in order to find out his culpability in the matter.

When has Bush taken accountability for ANYTHING that has happened??? When has Bush contacted the DOJ to start a investigation into questionable actions by one of his people like Shumer did????
You can try and spin this all you want, but the FACTS are that Shumer did the right thing and Bush has done nothing but trash the US Constitution every step of the way during his presidency.
This man is a TRAITOR and should be Impeached, tried, and executed by a firing squad on the WH front lawn for the American people to see.
