“Federal prosecutors have told Bernard B. Kerik, whose nomination as homeland security secretary in 2004 ended in scandal, that he is likely to be charged with several felonies, including tax evasion and conspiracy to commit wiretapping,” the Washington Post reports. “Kerik’s indictment could set the stage for a courtroom battle that would draw attention to Kerik’s extensive business and political dealings with former New York mayor Rudolph W. Giuliani, who personally recommended him to President Bush for the Cabinet.”

Republicans & Friends begin to stink.
March 31st, 2007 at 10:32 ambye bye, Rudy - we hardly knew ya
March 31st, 2007 at 10:33 amKerik deserves life in prison for his crimes, but he will probably just get a moderate sentence of 5 to 10 years. Giuliani is a typical New York city politician who gets involved in corruption and ties to thugs like Bernie.
March 31st, 2007 at 10:39 amWhat’s the problem here? If you have an organized crime syndicate masquerading as a political party, you’ve got to have criminals pretending to be politicians.
March 31st, 2007 at 11:09 am“Soprano” Guiliani KNEW THIS when he recommended him to be our next Homeland Security Director. Guess he forgot, just like everyone in the GOP and this white house??? Pretty potent kook-aid, I’d say.
March 31st, 2007 at 11:12 am….AND WE ARE JUDGED BY THE FRIENDS WE CHOOSE! This means “curtains” for Guiliani now.
March 31st, 2007 at 11:13 am#4 You got it right! That’s precisely what we’ve had for 6 years…..Bush Cabal (Bush Crime Family) running this country…and it’s becoming evident in all aspects of the government. Is there anything left which hasn’t been contaminated or corrupted by the Rethugs? I don’t think so as the scandals continue to swirl like omens over their heads.
More to come next week - there’s no doubt about it - I’ve heard of at least 4 more scandals coming down the pike which will certainly tank the Republican party.
March 31st, 2007 at 11:14 amAll one has to do is connect the dots…..which destroys Guiliani’s reputation now. Due to him being “at the right place and the right time” on 911, he was mistakenly elevated to movie-star status but we will soon realize that he’s just another typical mafioso thug. If you recognize that we are surrounded by friends of like mind, then it’s clear that the Kerik/Guiliani intimate connection has more going on than meets the eye. Guiliani may be the largest fool (no fool like an old fool??) in all of this by placing himself in the eye of the storm and subject to personal scrutiny by his candidacy. He’ll get what’s he’s asked for and, ultimately, may result in prison time if he’s been aware of or involved in anything that Kerik was.
March 31st, 2007 at 11:17 amWhy is all republican politicians crooked in one fashion or another? Is this the norm we Americans will have to endure with the Republicans? Not to say that all Democratic s are squeaky clean but this group of people seem really angry, crooked liars with delusional views And before you bring up but..but..Clinton he made a lot of mistakes as well but nothing like these group of thief’s.
March 31st, 2007 at 11:32 amAnother fine republican. How can they justify support for their party. The whole damned bunch are crooks. If the Democrats can’t take back the whitehouse and hold on to both branches of government, then we know the whole election process is totally corrupt. It is time for a revolution in this country.
March 31st, 2007 at 11:42 am“Federal prosecutors have told Bernard B. Kerik, whose nomination as homeland security secretary in 2004 ended in scandal, that he is likely to be charged with several felonies, including tax evasion and conspiracy to commit wiretapping,â€
And the Federal prosecutors will now be asked to resign in 3…2…1…

March 31st, 2007 at 12:44 pmCriminal kickbacks? Conspiracy to commit wiretapping? What’s the problem? This guy is perfect for Director of Homeland Security. I mean, isn’t that in the job description?
March 31st, 2007 at 1:34 pmThe “Cross-Dressing CREEP” Rudy Giuliani IS AS ROTTEN A repugnant-repub rightwingnut crank fudge-pachyderm AS THEY COME—NOT ONLY IS HE A LIAR AND A HYPOCRITE, HE IS ALSO A PROVEN ADULTERER AND PERVERT WHO LIVED TOGETHER WITH TWO GAY MEN—-HMMMMMMMMM, I THINK THIS Kerik FLAP JUST ABOUT PUTS PAID TO HIS PRESIDENTIAL AMBITIONS, NICHT WAHR????? IF NOT, TO QUOTE THE LATE, GREAT JIMMY DURANTE, “I’VE GOT A MILLION OF “EM——-HOT CHA CHA CHA CHA CHA CHA!!!!!”
March 31st, 2007 at 5:13 pmLove it when “law and order” hypocrites end up behind bars. I wonder how Kerik feels about the issue of prison rape, cause from the looks of him he’s about to be come intimately familiar with it.
March 31st, 2007 at 6:34 pmThe last thing this nation needs right now is a loud mouth, former USA from NYC with a highly selective memory and member of the Repugniscum party anywhere near the Justise Dept or the FBI.
April 1st, 2007 at 7:56 amThoroughly Republican.
April 1st, 2007 at 8:23 am[…] Bernie Kerik corrupt? Get outta here…really? […]
