“The 2007 Atlantic hurricane season should be ‘very active,’ with nine hurricanes and a good chance that at least one major hurricane will hit the U.S. coast,” William Gray of Colorado State University predicted. “The probability of a major hurricane making landfall on the U.S. coast this year: 74%, compared with the average of 52% over the past century, he said.”
UPDATE: “Highway to hell.” ClimateProgress previews the new IPCC report being released this week.

Isn’t this the same guy who predicted the same thing last year? Well I guess if you cry wolf every year eventually one will show up.
April 3rd, 2007 at 11:31 amIntersting news story yesterday about Google Earth “airbrushing” New Orleans.
April 3rd, 2007 at 11:31 amSeems they put up old images of New Orleans before hurricane Katrina… to many blue tarps and piles of wreckage still evident, nearly 2 years now gone by.
Protests from officials caused them to return to the images of the Gulf as it now appears. Sort of………….
