They see Bush as a messenger sent by God to start the world war that will result in the rebuilding of the Temple of Abraham (it’s been destroyed twice before) which will bring on the rapture.
Global warming, world war, the downfall of “morally corrupt” America are all just reinforcement signs to these people that the resurrection is coming.

Jake the Joke, is, of course a conservative and, as we have seen, a sociopath. It’s important for the sociopath to believe others think and act as he does. Otherwise, the sociopath may begin to feel that there is something basic wrong with him. The sociopath then “projects” his inner feelings and motivations on others to make himself feel better. Jake the Joke holds positions because his leaders hold positions. Therefore, he can’t imagine how a liberal might think for himself and make decisions based on an internal set of morals as opposed to taking marching orders from a leader.
Patrick1 also displays this classic sociopathic behavior. Respect for the leader trumps all sets of internal morals by which one would make a decision for himself.
