O’Reilly sounds off on Snoop Dogg.

O’Reilly sounds off on Snoop Dogg.

Fox News host Bill O’Reilly has repeatedly gone after rapper Snoop Dogg, saying that he “likes to carry around guns that can kill people” and should be in jail. On a recent interview with Dutch television, Snoop hit back, saying, “F*ck Bill O’Reilly.” Last night, O’Reilly responded: “Yes, like Calvin lives in the ghetto. Is a pool boy going to beat me up there, Snoopy? And of course, he’s welcome to come in here to the No Spin Zone, but we do have drug testing.” Watch it:

Digg It!

Transcript:

O’REILLY: Time now for “The Most Ridiculous Item of the Day”. Our pal Snoop Dogg, a.k.a. Calvin Broadus, is apparently angry with me because I pointed out that he’s been arrested 11 times.

In fact, the British government recently denied Calvin entry to that country. But the Netherlands welcomed him. And somehow, the conversation on Dutch TV got around to me.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: Guys like Bill O’Reilly, who are…

CALVIN “SNOOP DOGG” BROADUS, RAP ARTIST: (expletive deleted) Bill O’Reilly. They don’t understand me. You know, they don’t understand how kids and his family just love Snoop Dogg. And he don’t really get it.

Instead of trying to hold an interview with him to better understand me, he’d rather try to bash me in the media. You know, saying when he can just basically have a conversation with me and get a one-on-one with me.

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: Would you go on his show? Would you go on his show?

BROADUS: Yes. But we got to do it in my neighborhood, though.

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: It has to be in the ghetto, though?

BROADUS: Yes. So I could kick his mother (expletive deleted) ass myself.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

O’REILLY: Yes, like Calvin lives in the ghetto. Is a pool boy going to beat me up there, Snoopy?

And of course, he’s welcome to come in here to the No Spin Zone, but we do have drug testing. To not have it would be ridiculous.

The ghetto.

I dont care if its Snoop Dogg or Deputy Dawg, I just with someone some dark and dreary night would just absolutely thrash the shit out of Bill O. If ever there was a fellow human being in need of a serious ass kicking its Bill.

  6. Spudge_Boy says:

O’Rielly couldn’t hold Snoop Dogg’s ball sack. Snoop Dogg is a family guy that coaches his son’s little league team. Like Snoop Dogg said “Fu*k Bill O’Rielly”

but we do have drug testing.

    So Limbaugh is out.

There are ten other threads so far today that you can post in, just ignore this one. Simple.

Keep bring us stories about Bill O’Rielly that allow me to comment on this loon TP.

  9. Perry Logan says:

They have drug testing in the No-Spin Zone? Is this a problem at Fox, or are we just talking about geriatric drugs here?

Yep, and all family guys have 11 arrests for drug possession and fire arms.

I guess I must not be very family oriented.

I guess O’reilly is wrong for pointing out that Snoop is not exactally a role-model.

    Now, back to my Gin-n-Juice

  12. Daryll says:

Snoop is a heathen, thug and a ruffian. Bill O’Reilly should put him in his place. I would love to witness to Snoop. He really needs to know the Lord because there are serious issues in his life. Bill, keep doing the good work.

  13. ann says:

Fox News host Bill O’Reilly has repeatedly gone after rapper Snoop Dogg, saying that he “likes to carry around guns that can kill people” and should be in jail.

I would think Bill would be a card carrying member of the NRA and as we’ve all heard so many times, “guns don’t kill, people do.” If Bill doesn’t love and respect guns, he must hate America. Or at least the Constitution.

  14. Raven says:

There both pretty much losers, still, O’Really may have grabbed a bone from the wrong dog…………..

  15. simplicio says:

This is garbage. What is it doing on Think Progress? I think Snoop Dogg is bad for the image of the black community. Crap like this allows Bill O. to score points with all the white middle-aged exurbers. Surely progressives aren’t going to line up behind Snoop Dogg and his misogynistic music just because he said “F Bill O’reilly”!!!

This really doesn’t belong on this site. Please take it down.

  16. hil says:

    BAWAHAHAHAHAHAH!!!

  17. Pete Bogs says:

the funny part is, since it was on Dutch TV, they probably aired it unedited… lucky bastids!

  18. DRxJ says:

Did falafel boy really say this? Guns that can kill people? Compared to white people that like to carry guns that don’t kill people?

Looks like someone is in dire need of a shower and a vibr*tor.

  19. Tiffany says:

Can I witness to Snoop for you, Daryll?

  20. Ryan Gerbehy says:

Does anyone else get the holier than thou white man vibe coming off of orielly. I almost expected him to call Snoop “boy”.

and always with the “other people can come to me for debate(paraphase)” line. He’s like a child who needs to have everything his way. he must control the debate (and the microphones) or else he fears he may be called out.

  21. ForTruth says:

Hacker Bob that was funny. Sippin on Gin and Juice, laid back, with my mind on my money and my money on my mind.

Now: Snoop makes his own bed. Why Bill O has a facsination with long black d!cks is beyond me. Bill might want to watch it. The likes of Snoop and his freinds use acutal guns with actual bullets and stuff. They go beyond trash talking.

  22. simplicio says:

    Comment by Daryll — April 3, 2007 @ 2:04 pm

I’m a heathen (non-believer) and I’m not a thug and a ruffian. One does not need to believe in uknprovable assertions (e.g. virgin birth, rising from the dead . . . ) in order to live a moral life.

Ummmm, you do know that BOR has stalked a coworker for sexual encounters, don’t you? He also was using a vibrator on himself while engaging in an erotic (albeit one sided) conversation with said coworker.
Kinda goes against your golden rule of no sex (including self) until marriage.
Kinda makes you look like a hypocrite, to endorse a know adultere, while you criticize Snoop.

Yes, I caught the undertones. A black man (a old skool gansta) carries a gun that can kill people.
hmmm, I wonder if Ted Nugent, a right wing activist and hunter, carries a gun that can kill people?

  29. Laura Bush says:

O’Lielly is jealous because Snoop has made more money from the entertainment industry than O’Lielly. Bill, just put out a Christian rap album. Everyone will buy it and you’ll finally be richer than Snoop.

  42. Spudge_Boy says:

    hacker bob,

I would expect most people form the inner city especially black males to have lots of arrests. Doesn’t say anything about Snoop as a family guy. Let me count how many I have…..4 plus 2 in the military. I have 6, does that make me a bad family man? Nope. Makes you bigoted. He has a bunch of convictions for having pot. Oooooooooo.

At least he isn’t responsible for the deaths of 3400 Americans like Bush is.

  43. hacker bob says:

I am sorry if you think I am a bigot because I think someone that glorifies illegal drug use, gang violence, and objectification of women does not make a good role model.

Really, when did I ever say that black men should not be able to carry guns? NO ONE should be allowed to carry guns ILLEGALLY. Period. It does not matter what color he/she is.

And you are a bigot. You’re all for guns as long as they’re carried by white men or your fellow soldiers. But Snoop didn’t shoot somebody in the face, that was Cheney.

If something positive happens, it’s because God interceded directly (because He’s got so much love to give).

If something negative happens, it’s because God either deliberately withheld his intercession, or He deliberately caused the negative thing to happen. If it happens to you, it’s a ‘test’. If it happens to someone else, it’s a ‘punishment’.

You are free to argue that. However for your argument to hold any weight you must then also support the criminalization of the use of alcohol, which is far more dangerous when used.

And Broadus could greatly reduce the trouble in his life if he stopped associating with thugs. He chooses to involve himself.
As for O’Reilly insisting people come to him, that’s the whole point of his show. On his show, people have no control over the topics. This prevent their handlers from turning the show into another photo op.

    Proof:
“Iraq is one of seven countries that have been designated by the Secretary of State as state sponsors of international terrorism. UNSCR 687 prohibits Saddam Hussein from committing or supporting terrorism, or allowing terrorist organizations to operate in Iraq. Saddam continues to violate these UNSCR provisions.

In 1993, the Iraqi Intelligence Service (IIS) directed and pursued an attempt to assassinate, through the use of a powerful car bomb, former U.S. President George Bush and the Emir of Kuwait. Kuwaiti authorities thwarted the terrorist plot and arrested 16 suspects, led by two Iraqi nationals.

Iraq shelters terrorist groups including the Mujahedin-e-Khalq Organization (MKO), which has used terrorist violence against Iran and in the 1970s was responsible for killing several U.S. military personnel and U.S. civilians.

Iraq shelters several prominent Palestinian terrorist organizations in Baghdad, including the Palestine Liberation Front (PLF), which is known for aerial attacks against Israel and is headed by Abu Abbas, who carried out the 1985 hijacking of the cruise ship Achille Lauro and murdered U.S. citizen Leon Klinghoffer.

Iraq shelters the Abu Nidal Organization, an international terrorist organization that has carried out terrorist attacks in twenty countries, killing or injuring almost 900 people. Targets have included the United States and several other Western nations. Each of these groups have offices in Baghdad and receive training, logistical assistance, and financial aid from the government of Iraq.

In April 2002, Saddam Hussein increased from $10,000 to $25,000 the money offered to families of Palestinian suicide/homicide bombers. The rules for rewarding suicide/homicide bombers are strict and insist that only someone who blows himself up with a belt of explosives gets the full payment. Payments are made on a strict scale, with different amounts for wounds, disablement, death as a “martyr” and $25,000 for a suicide bomber. Mahmoud Besharat, a representative on the West Bank who is handing out to families the money from Saddam, said, “You would have to ask President Saddam why he is being so generous. But he is a revolutionary and he wants this distinguished struggle, the intifada, to continue.”

Former Iraqi military officers have described a highly secret terrorist training facility in Iraq known as Salman Pak, where both Iraqis and non-Iraqi Arabs receive training on hijacking planes and trains, planting explosives in cities, sabotage, and assassinations.”

Like all bad things that occur on earth, it is the result of sin. We’ve chosen our path and God allows it to run its course.

1)What happened to the right to bear arms?

2)O’reilly is saying it’s ok for white men to carry guns, but not a black man.

  167. joshdestardi says:

    164,

Unfortunately the “sin” that is committed, is complete utter propping up of Israel, and ignoring the plight of the Palestinians. have you seen a map of 1946, and 2000 comparing the occupation increase?

The “sin” is not taking care of the poor, and allowing others to profit off of the deaths of countless people, American, and Iraqis alike. 3,000 deaths vs. 600,000+? Yea, we have sin on our hands…bloody sin.

Religious nuts, jews, muslims, christians will kill us all…Spiritualists however, might save us. Know God, before you know denomination.

Your “sin” is not being informed, and educated, and being in touch with God’s purpose. I can assure you, it is not to remain ignorant of the innocent children who have died at our hands, in vengeance for 3,000 innocent lives in NYC.

You misunderstood my post. All the bad things that occur in the world are do to the sins of man. We had perfection and threw it away and man has continued to sin ever since. Every bad thing in the world has followed due to sin. Hunger, disease, war, environmental damage are all due to man’s sin.

Wow 164 – nice copy and paste (aka stealing) but we don’t need none of that stinkin’ honesty. Wow that really shows that Iraq was responsible for 911. Perhaps you should pay attention to context as Daryll spouts the crazyiest Biblical tirades (much like yourself there CC Deville) but will never provide proof but then he turns around and demands it.

As for your Bushism “proof” which I’m positive was never manipulated – let me ask you this – why wasn’t all that outstanding evidence used to justify the Iraq Occupation?

You must have missed the last line of my post. It contained a link. It is a way one can post PROOF of something and it shows where the information came from. This way it can be verified and it IS NOT stealing. Stealing, or plagarism, is when you use information and DO NOT show where it came from. Is that clear enough, or do you need more explanation?

You don’t need that kind of “stinkin honesty”? I’m hoping that was a typo and you meant dishonesty, though I’ve just shown you there was no dishonesty.

As for manipulation, follow the link yourself, READ the information at the source and then tell me where I manipulated it.
Is this the first time you’ve seen this information? I’ve seen it numerous times. If you get all your information from S-P sources, you only get half the story.

Public figures can’t pick and choose the parts of their lives that are public. And Broadus certainly isn’t very private when he is running with thugs.
