NPR did the same thing this morning. Mention of Pelosi and the administration's opposition to the trip but no mention of the Repubican's also on the trip. The GOP noise machine at work.

The only reason she went is to support Israeli interest. What is wrong with that?

I think nine out of ten TeeVee reports I've seen so far, have not mentioned the Republicans visiting Syria, but report Bush's righteous indignation like it was Gospel or GOP talking points.

First off, she's third in line to the the presidency and doesn't answer to Bush, so she can do whatever she damn well pleases. Bush and Condi can continue to plug their ears and sing "Na, na, na, na...." as they always do rather than use dimplomacy.

Who cares what GOP losers went with Traitor Pelosi?!?!

Evidently ignorant individuals such as yourself don't worry about such glaring contradictions with your own party. Nice.

The GOP would not send it’s top Republican (that’s the President, folks) to hang out with the enemy. In a damn burka, no less. The woman is a traitor - a goddamn traitor.

What an asinine response. Now why would Bush send himself to Syria when he has stated flat out to be against any diplomatic roads set forth by his own appointed Iraqi Study Group headed up by the Republican and longtime friend of daddy, James Baker?

Or perhaps more to the point, why would people in his own loyal party break ranks and abuse Bush's loyalty and go there themselves? It's obvious that anyone that disagrees with you and your "fearless" leader are branded as "traitors" and aiding terrorists. Seems to me that you should be directing your vitriole more towards your own "traitors" in your own party for doing what our librul "traitor" leader is doing. Why don't you spew that outrage here, sir, for all to see?

And speaking of traitors within your own party, how do you feel about your Administration for outing a covert CIA officer who's sole job was to find WMDs in Iraq and Iran? You remember, right? Because she sure could be helping out your claims of Iranian nukes right now had she not been outed. Can you tell me why you support a traitor like Rove deliberately outing one of our operatives in a time of war, and why he still has security clearance?

I'm sorry, you were saying something about "traitors." Please continue....

Dear Liberals Hears Terrorists:

What label do you place on a man (Bush) who sends men and women, (not you I assume) off to fight a war based on lies, false information and the goal of making contractors wealthy, only to return to find cockroaches, mice and mold in their hospital room while they heal from the amputation of all of their limbs? DOHHHH!

Certainly none of them should have gone to see the butcher Assad.

Hmmm, I guess that leaves out a healthy handful of other butchers that Bush has personal relationships worldwide and refuses to break off. Funny how your labelling is not so terribly self-reflective.

Pelosi ’s ass kissing aside.

Or the rest of the Republicans doing exactly the same thing (kissing gestures absent, of course).

Aderholt and Wolf are both on the Appropriations committe, and the Homeland Security and State Department subcommittees respectively. Further, Wolf is from VA-10, home of Loudon County, home of numerous defense contractors.

They're going to Syria because they're on subcommittees responsible for funding CIA operations. They're likely over there trying to cut some deals with Syria to try to determine the needs of the American CIA folks operating in the region.

That's my best guess.

Congratulations, Patrick1. You succeeded in getting the lefties (myself included) to go for your bait; hook, line & sinker. But remember, the truth will set you free. You can bandy about with insults, name-calling and half-truths but in your mind and everyone who reads your aspersions, there is that haunting little detail called the TRUTH. IE: Republicans went to Syria in the last few days as well and Bush was silent. Pelosi was in Syria, not Iran, so why does she bear the brunt of blame for what Iran has done with the British hostages. How does that make her a "weak daisy in the rain? I suppose Bush is a big, strong manly man in your eyes, right? Are you aware of the sock they stuffed down his pants to enhance his "junk" during the "Mission Accomplished" debacle on 5/1/03? But maybe that's your problem; You're really in love with Bush and must take on anyone who takes on your man.

Great job, Patrick1. Just keep standing by your man while he leads both of you OFF A CLIFF....

Patrick, I always thought that the troll was only allowed to ask three questions before it had to go back under the bridge. You have like 6 questions or statements up here, on just this topic. Dude get a job, get the hair shaved off your back, file down our teeth, and join the world of the thinking. I have a question for you. Please name all the members of the Republication's who met with Assad, prior to Speaker Pelosi's visit?
It might be difficult for you, since trolls are used to asking dumbass questions, rather than answering reasonable ones.

Were the Republican Congressman ass kissing Assad like Pelosi? If so then I condemn them as well.

Oh I see, so a "kiss" is what separates your condemnation of Republicans doing the exact same diplomatic efforts as Pelosi. Got it.

The Iraq Study Group was a joke.

Then perhaps Bush should not have assigned someone as astute as Baker in the first place. I'm sorry if what they found and suggested is not in line with your twisted neocon world-police view on things, but as for the rest of the majority of Americans and most other countries for that matter, we tend to call it something that might be a bit alien to you:

"reality"

Strange concept for your elementary thinking skills, I realize, but not to worry. We Democrats and reasonable Republicans will once again clean up the mess you idiots have created. And we might just save a bit more dignity in doing so. Don't worry - we're used to the job cleaning up your dung thrown everywhere.

Exactly. Come on, by now it is evident that Patrick1 is a non-issue.

There is a difference in being considerate and diplomatic and being a coward. If you visit a democracy you be considerate and diplomatic. If you visit an Islamo Fascist thug you tell him so.
