Clarence Swinney:

2,973 people lost their lives in the 9/11 attack, not 2,500 that you posted. This error alone calls into question your other "academic" findings.
You are a "political research historian," in your own mind. I have legitimate academic and experience qualifications and call into question your flawed opinion (note, I said "opinion," not facts, since your post doesn't qualify for such merit).

A very weak argument Thinkprogress. You "debunked" the Post opinion using hearsay from (gasp!) Pelosi herself.

There's a reason why hearsay is inadmissable evidence--it has very little credibility. To use hearsay to attempt debunking the opinion piece leaves Thinkprogress with very little credibility.

America, how would you feel?
438,000 Americans killed in War in 2006

America has 12 times the population of Iraq.
How would we feel if:
UN reported that Iraqi deaths averaged 100 per day in 2006.
100 X 365=36,500 X 12=438,000
Lancet Report on Iraqi deaths is now up to 655,000.
655,000 X 12= 7,860,000
Reports vary but many say 2,000,000 have fled their homes.
2,000,000 = 24,000,000.
438,000 killed in one year
7,860,000 killed in four years.
24,000,000 lost their homes.
Oh! How we mourned for 35 years the loss of 58,000 soldiers.
Oh! How we had world ending crisis in New Orleans with loss of homes.
Oh! What a crisis with loss of 2500 Americans from twin towers disaster.
HOW WOULD WE FEEL WERE WE VICTIMS LIKE IRAQIS? Think on it.

Political research historian since 1991 on Reagan-Clinton-Bush II administrations

HYPOCRISY PREVAILS!!! Thank you Washington Post for having the "balls", in this case, to state a truth!

BUT THEN YOU GUYS CAN'T STAND THE TRUTH, CAN YOU!? Most of you are like elementary school children and name call. Spewing absolute rediculous information because you haven't taken the time to educate yourselves with what is REAL and the truth. It is obvious that most of you have never been educated beyond the third grade. Why don't you spend your time coming up solutions instead of your sophomoric criticism and rhetoric. Wil Durant was right when he said, "A great civilization is not conquered from without until it has destroyed itself within". Seems to me, most of you would have given HITLER a free ride. Oh yes, I forgot, the holocaust never happened, the moon is made of green cheese and you are an intelligent "bunch".

Unfortunately we have lived with a shadow Presidency (in many senses of the term) for over six years. The majority of voters elected other men but somehow we keep ending up with the village idiot.

The Gang Of Pirates has declared themselves, and even discussing or refuting them is as useless as refuting each error in the old Soviet Pravda. And like Pravda, interesting only for discovering the underlying concerns that is causing them to put out this particular lie, which in this particular case does not seen at all subtle.

Bush lies continue. Rove and Cheney pull the strings. If they lie long enough and strong enough, people will believe them. Their truth squads were an example of turning the world upside down. They trample the constitution by torture. deception, spying on citizens, denying due process, and killing thousands of innocent people without a stated reason. Instead we get all sorts of "reasons" that change with the conditions deemed by Rove/Chaney team as plausible and saleable to the public. Then they manage the news. They deny Carter the opportunity to speak with the Syrian leader, who he has known for many years. The try to deny Pelosi. Their "Patriots" are traitors and their "unpatriotic" is patriotic. When will we prosecute them for the war crimes and unconstitutional acts that deny citizens their protected rights?

"A great civilization is not conquered from without until it has destroyed itself within" and those who are thinkprogress.org and their suporters, are active participants in destroying this country with their sophomoric rhetoric. It just shows that any idiot can have a site and claim to know it all by calling people names just because they don't agree with their point of view. Nancy Palosi was OUT OF LINE for doing what she did. If she worked for any organization/business, she'd be "canned".

raymond,

Truly vulgar, aren't you. Common sense and decency, you say; while indulging in infantile ravings. I hate to tell you but the hatred you so blatantly display is more than just repulsive, it is counter-productive. As far as puerile sloganeering such as "Bushland ueber (that would be the correct English spelling) Allies", is simply the sign of a lack of sophistication.
