Seven more U.S. soldiers killed in Iraq.
“Seven U.S. soldiers have been killed in Iraq in a spate of attacks over the last two days, and four British soldiers died in a single incident this morning when their patrol near the southern city of Basra came under fire, according to American and British officials.” Separately, an Army helicopter crashed south of Baghdad, possibly as a result of gunfire. “All nine people on board survived.”

The Sherman tank while very fast for its time, couldn’t compete with the German or Japanese tanks or their anti-tank weapons. The Sherman tank was a death trap for the americans that were in it because the american military gave speed rather than armor.

Yes the Sherman was not equal to anything the Germans had, but that’s not what you said now was it? you said the sherman has less armor than a model T. As a matter of fact almost everything the germans built was superior to anything we had, we simply beat them with shear numbers.
WWII The world didn’t have a choice, this one we did. We we’re only attacked by a LONE 19 terrorists, not several nations who have declared war on us.
I suggest before teaching me or attempting to fool others, you learn some common sense, as well as history and making bogus claims that a model t was better armored than our tanks.

I can meet you anywhere in that area as well. There’s a beach right near a Best Western Hotel in Oceanside. I can be on that beach on any weekend this month if you choose the time. Would Southern Cal. be a more convenient place for you to teach me some of your self-defense moves?

Before I tended bar I worked in emergency room at Henrotin Hospital, #1 gunshot wound treatment in the city before it closed. Nobody pays for gunshot wounds.

Pretty sure you don’t want to go there.
1. I’m retired military (from Vietnam-Desert Sheild/Storm).
2. I was stationed in Korea for over 7 years of my 22 year career. I did NOT live on base but on the economy for all but one of those years. My last assignment was liason to the ROKAF. I studied their history (including that which is only available in Hangul)
3. My father-in-laws farm is 5 miles from what is now the DMZ. I spent many happy days celebrating Chusok and the lunar New Year there.
The Korean war was NOT a civil war. It was the first shot in the “Cold War”. It was nothing more than the Soviet Union and PRC’s backing of a puppet regime to expand their influence. (You might want to look at a map and see how USSR/PRC would consider a U.S. presence in the ROK a threat-or is geopollitics too hard for you to understand).
Further the Korean War was the last conventional war in which the U.S. has been involved. Our military (when not stretched so thin you can see through it) is/was the best trained and equipped in the world for…..CONVENTIAL war. We are not trained or equipped to be in the midst of a civil war.
