It's up to everyone to help enforce laws, especially laws that have potential negative impact on national security -- namely illegal immigrants. Law enforcement agencies, at the federal and local levels, have a responsibility to enforce illegal immigration laws. Law enforcement cannot pick and choose which federal laws they want to enforce.
