“Same-sex couples who want to exchange vows in front of Cinderella’s Castle now have the chance. The Walt Disney Co. had limited its Fairy Tale Wedding program to couples with valid marriage licenses, but it is now making ceremonies at its parks available to gay couples as well.”
thank you Disney for being progressive.
April 6th, 2007 at 3:07 pmThank you Disney

April 6th, 2007 at 3:13 pmObviously, the Reich wing hasn’t been informed by their puppet master, Lush Bimbo yet, or the shrills would be deafening.
April 6th, 2007 at 3:13 pmA gay thread is to trolls is as a candle is to moths.
April 6th, 2007 at 3:19 pmsorry, but I’m still miffed at the Mouse for The Path to 9/11.

April 6th, 2007 at 3:20 pm9 – well, we know at least ONE was HAPPY!
April 6th, 2007 at 3:22 pmWalt Disney must repent if he wants to remain in heaven.
April 6th, 2007 at 3:23 pmDOBD:where’s Larry?
April 6th, 2007 at 3:28 pmIf I remember correctly Disney was one of the first companies to expand benefits to gay couples. Ie if an employee was covered, his or her spouse could be covered under thier insurance as well.
April 6th, 2007 at 3:32 pmSpeaking of which. Did the Republicans “dissappear” Ken Mehlman?

April 6th, 2007 at 3:32 pmgood for Disney but….. can not help but wonder what news issues corporate owned fascist media is trying to drown out with this story. Keep watching international news.
April 6th, 2007 at 3:36 pmlooks like another religious right boycott of Disney can’t be too far off…
April 6th, 2007 at 3:42 pmAttendance must be down.
April 6th, 2007 at 3:44 pmWill they do inter-species soon?
April 6th, 2007 at 3:53 pm(I love you, Donald)
Yesterday would have been a good time to buy Disney stock, before this announcement.

Me too. Thanks for bringing it up. I forgot about it because I refused to watch the movie…and I’m old.
April 6th, 2007 at 4:03 pmYesterday would have been a good time to buy Disney stock, before this announcement.

I have ultraconservative friends who own Disney stock – so today might be a good day to buy.
April 6th, 2007 at 4:07 pmlooks like another religious right boycott of Disney can’t be too far off…
April 6th, 2007 at 4:11 pmComment by Pete Bogs — April 6, 2007 @ 3:42 pm
Yeah. Didn’t the Southern Baptists declare a boycott on WDW because of their benefits for same sex partners? And if I recall correctly, didn’t attendence figures go up during said boycott?
Well geez, who wouldn’t want to vacation where there’s a guarantee of no zealous, right wing religious fanatics!
I believe Disney is not doing this out of any sense of fairness and equality. They are beholden to their shareholders and their profit margin.
April 6th, 2007 at 4:16 pmThis is no more than an angle they have chosen with which to increase their profits.
Now Foley, Haggard, Gannon, Mehlman, Drudge, and all the gay republic partiers can cavort with the seven dwarves in the happiest place on earth!
April 6th, 2007 at 4:19 pm“thank you Disney for being progressive.
Comment by Republicans are the fear and smear party — April 6, 2007″
Thank you Disney for being politically correct. DOPES!
April 6th, 2007 at 4:36 pmBecause they should be bigots instead of being “politically correct”* …?
(* ugga booga scary phrase which means evil things)
April 6th, 2007 at 4:57 pmIt is amusing they use the term fairy tale wedding
April 6th, 2007 at 5:30 pmDisney isn’t that bad after all.
April 6th, 2007 at 6:14 pmThanks Disney…now, can you tell ABC to knock off the facist, Repugniscum support bulls!t?
April 6th, 2007 at 6:37 pmIt’s all about money not respect. Money will make companies change. All people should have the rights not just because the companies losing money. I notice Disney doesn’t refuse money at the park even if your orange. I wonder with all the attacks on gays what if gays boycott what businesses change their policy quick. Just ask Dick Cheney’s daughter. She’s having a boy, I know she wants him to have equal rights why not give equal rights to everyone.
April 6th, 2007 at 8:44 pmWhy would anyone want to get married at Disneyland?
Gay or straight?
Weird.
April 6th, 2007 at 9:26 pmCINDERELLA’S “FAIRY” GODMOTHER(tm), TINKERBELL(tm) AND PETER PAN(tm) ARE ALL PLEASED AS PUNCH ABOUT THIS CORRECT DECISION BY The Walt Disney Co.(tm)!!!!! DID Disney FINALLY GET RID OF THE BALEFUL INFLUENCE OF Michael Eisner and his stooge George Mitchell WHEN THEY BROUGHT IN John Pepper Jr. Formerly Of Proctor and Gamble(tm) TO BECOME Chairman AFTER Mitchell WAS OUSTED ON Jan. 1, 2007?????
April 7th, 2007 at 1:34 amHas anyone here seen or heard from Daryll?

Thanks!
Oh Tiffany…..you b*tch!
April 7th, 2007 at 5:56 pm#25 That was kind of stupid.
April 7th, 2007 at 10:03 pm#33 I do believe I saw him in an evangelical hypocrites chat room.
April 7th, 2007 at 10:04 pmWell, I always did think getting married in front of a Cinderella Castle was “pretty gay” (Using the same meaning of the word that Carson Kressly would) – and now it seems I’ve been proven correct.
